Red

It is the vibrant colour, of happiness and joys,

Of brilliant, shining sunsets and healthy girls and boys.

The colour glows in happy cheeks and in the ripest fruit,

And often signals danger, perhaps a change of route.

When I see colours, this is set apart in any tone,

Rouge, russet, sanguine, burgundy, rose, cherry, firestone,

In all it's shades it cheers the eyes and so I've always said,

The colour that I love the most stands out and it is red.
