Sea spray licks the rocks

The dinghy washes ashore

The child breathes no more.

A/N: The images of Syrian refugees, especially children drowning at sea have been haunting my mind lately. I thought it only appropriate to write this series in a meagre attempt to raise awareness of their struggle for survival. The media is doing a sad sorry job of it.
