"Did you have to throw me?" Sam yelled as the trio ran.
"It wouldn't have been realistic if I didn't!" She scoffed.
"You didn't throw Bucky!"
"Bucky's been through enough! Leave him out of this!"
"Guys—this really isn't the moment to argue about my trauma." Bucky jumped in, his voice steady despite the real dash they were doing through the airport.
"Shut up!" Sam snapped at the same time Mickey yelled, "shut up hot stuff!"
The trio exit the airport and run around towards the open tarmac, running as fast as they could possibly go.
"I think we are clear!" Mickey yelled as they caught up with the rest of their team. She smiled as Wanda began to ran beside her and the two shared a warm moment of a simple friendly gesture. She noticed Clint was beside them as well and as the new guy, one she didn't know at all but if he was here it meant he was as brave as any of them. And that little stunt he had pulled on Peter also seemed to help.
"You got the kid down?" Steve yelled out.
"She nearly broke his back and probably his heart too!" Sam called out.
Steve's head looked in Mickey's direction, blue eyes very wide.
"Now is not the time for a lecture on boys, Captain Underpants, we can talk about it after we are out of here." Mickey yelled before Steve made it a point to talk about it.
"Alright, COME ON!" Steve yelled as they all managed to find the hidden Quinjet inside one of the warehouses. Mickey nearly wanted to sigh in relief except she knew exactly how this was gonna end, and easy was definitely not the word she would describe it as.
A scalding beam suddenly stopped them in their tracks and they were met with Vision flying over them, followed by the rest of Tony's team.
"Captain Rogers. I know you believe what you're doing is right. But for the collective good you must surrender now." Vision seemed willing to give them one last chance at redemption, a small fleeting chance to go back although it looked like his patience was wearing thin. Mickey huffed her chest and eyes him, her skin suddenly felt sticky and heavy, because she could sense that the next moments would echo into every crevice of the world. She had chosen her path though, like it or not there was no going back from this point forward.
"What do we do, Cap?" Sam questioned. The team eyed one another for a painful moment, friends and foes deciding one another's opponent. Mickey eyes Peter, he seemed fine now although she couldn't exactly see his face. His stance was as strong as hers, fists bunches together and although his eyes were covered she could practically feel the glare. He was coming for payback, he was coming to return the favor. Her hands suddenly began to buzz as the itch to open portals and faze begged to escape.
"We fight." Steve simply stated what each of them knew, there was no backing out of it this time.
With determination in her heels and nothing to lose the two teams came at one another with a gradual walk and then a full blown sprint.
"This is it," Mickey muttered as a final statement.
Peter came right for her and he held nothing back.
He began swinging across the walls, remembering that now there was nothing he could do but stop her. And all those memories of her smiling lips, of her soft words of encouragement and that godforsaken look she had given him the moment they'd met needed to disappear for the moment. They were lies after all and no matter how heavy his heart had elated and the possibilities had filled him he couldn't think about them anymore. Mickey had deceived not only him but Tony Stark, and he knew the only way there would be a possible redemption is if she was stopped.
Mickey dodged the webs he threw at her, dropping into portals and rolling into escapes as she threw them his way all the same. He was being smart, keeping his distance and hoping she would miss something but Mickey had trained for this. She knew a simple faze and ability to teleport would be next to useless if her mind didn't think faster then her opponent, and besides now she knew there was no being the snake in this instance, they were both at the brink of a loss.
And so she took initiative for the first time and worked as the mighty predators and the fearless prey.
She attacked head on without fear, meeting Peter face to face.
"Come on spidey! Show me some real action!" She roared when her hand was finally caught against one airplanes and she flipped off it, using enough force to rip off the powerful webbing and dropping peter into a portal not far away from her.
He caught himself and stood, striding her way. "You lied to us all, you made me trust you."
"Oh don't be such a drama queen!" Mickey yelled and took a defensive stance. "Let's go, I'll even let you make the first move!"
"I like you Mickey! Why are you doing this?" Peters voice was emotional, full of anger and sadness as he made no move to attack.
"There's too much on the line for me to give it up for you or some boy," Mickey responded as she attempted not to get too distracted. They needed to stop speaking, Peter and her were not going to finish this if they just stood there and she needed to get to the jet.
A piercing laser cut between the feet that separates them and startled the two out of their spat, Tony dropping between them with his armor pointed at Mickey.
"Alright kid, go fight with someone else, this is turning into a lovers quarrel." His monotone voice was helped by the speakers of his suit, although his stance told a different story. His body and face was aimed at Mickey, ready for an attack of some sort or possible retribution.
"Mr. Stark I-" Peter tried to hurt in, hoping to prove himself worthy but it was to no avail as neither Iron Man nor Mickey were looking his way.
"Go, now." Tony spoke more fiercely.
Peter left after a moment of deliberation, slightly worried that they weren't going to pull their punches. Mickey and Tony were a lot alike, angry and dangerous, subtle yet a bomb awaiting to explode—he wondered if that would make them evenly matched.
Mickey has her attention solely focused on Tony Stark now and while a million different words rang in her head there was only a few that actually mattered, "You lies to me."
"Kid, this isn't the time to rebel remember what's on the line..."
With a loud growl she cuts him off, "rebel? REBEL? You think I'm rebelling? You've sold your soul off to some asshole who doesn't give a shit about you and I'm the rebel?"
"This isn't gonna end the way you want it to, you signed the contract just like any of us." Tony was much calmer when he spoke.
Mickey tilts her head and smirks, "I sighed it Mickey Mouse, you'd know that if your wasn't so far up Ross's ass!"
"Okay, that's enough. You're stopping this nonsense and surrendering right now!" Tony ordered her.
Mickey snorted seeing Wanda behind him slowly creeping up, nodding her head and silently communicating to keep Tony distracted. The brunette focused her attention on riling him up further, "you lied to me, Agent Ross was never going to give my father and I freedom. He was gonna stick us back into our cages! He was gonna hurt my dad!"
"He's not your real dad!" Tony snapped back, fury building in his chest as words he'd never thought to speak before began to come out.
Mickey felt a pang in her heart, everyone knew that Charles Danvers wasn't her biological father and the real one had practically left her and her mother to die but that still didn't make the wound any lighter. She wishes Charles to be her father more then anything in the world and he would be, regardless of wether she even found her true father or not.
She narrowed her eyes and huffed, "well he will always be the only father that matters to me."
Wanda lifted Tony clear off the ground flung him into an open portal, sending him spiraling miles away.
Mickey swallowed the lump of pain that built in her and followed Wanda who began to run towards the jet. The witch nodded her head, "we've got to help the others."
Mickey nodded, "let's get this over with!"
They ran across the compound, Mickey stopping Prince T'Challa from sinking his claws into Bucky by dropping him into a portal and smacking him against a roof, launching Rhodey halfway across the field. Wanda and her continued to push past them.
Eventually Wanda broke off to battle Vision who was strongly countering her attacks.
Nicky's voice came through their communicator as Mickey began to fight off Peter's webs, dodging his advances. "We gotta go. That guy's probably in Siberia by now."
"We gotta draw out the flyers. I'll take Vision. You get to the jet." Steve ordered.
"No, you get to the jet! Both of you!" Sam said as he flew overhead, being chased by War Machine. "The rest of us aren't getting out of here."
"As much as I hate to admit it, if we're gonna win this one, some of us might have to lose it." Clint backer him up.
Mickey his behind an airplane, sliding underneath it and surprising Peter by kicking into a portal. She pressed her hand to her ear and spoke, "they're right, we got this."
"This isn't the real fight, Steve." Sam reiterated.
Steve went silent for a moment, and seeming to agree spork, "Alright, Sam, what's the play?"
"We need a diversion, something big."
"I got something kind of big, but I can't hold it very long. On my signal, run like hell. And if I tear myself in half... don't come back for me." The new guy, who'd Mickey come to know as Scott Lang spoke.
Bucky was the first to spoke after everyone's faces were confused. "He's gonna tear himself in half?"
"I'm with the cute one, what the hell?" Mickey stated as she ran towards more of the action.
"You're sure about this, Scott?" Steve respondes.
"I do it all the time. I mean once... in a lab. Then I passed out." He assured.
"Go new guy?" Mickeys statement was less then encouraging as she became confused until she witnessed it for herself.
Rhodey has been chasing everyone around but in an I stand Scott has went from the size of an ant to the actual size of a building, towering over them all and clutching at Rhodey's foot, swinging him around.
"Holy shi—" Mickey gasped.
"Mickey! Focus!" Steve cut her off.
She runs towards the center of the action finding that somehow Peter is distracting the behemoth while Rhodey has made his way around. Vision cuts off Steve and Bucky's by blowing up a nearby building that begins to cover the entrance to the jet. Wanda however stops the downfall and struggles to hold it up just as Steve and Bucky near it.
Rhodey halts her moves by using what seems to be a sonic hearing device that forces Wanda to lose control and clutch at her head. Mickey without thinking much else drops herself into a portal that lands just above Rhodey and allows her to drop over him, blocking his vision and knocking the loud sound out as she swings her legs out.
"Sorry, not sorry, Rhodey!" Mickey yells and continues to pull at any openings or wires.
"Sorry kid," Tony's voice surprises her as suddenly she's hit with a blast of the ear splitting noise that Wanda was attacked with. She screams and her grip loosens, feeling her ability to fight back fade as the nose shakes right through her skin and into her bones with a vibration that terrifies her.
Her grip loosens and she begins to hurl towards the ground as the day goes dark and her eyes close shut.
Tony catches her like a baseball, cradling the teenage antihero in his arms as he lands on the ground and softly places her in the grass away from the mess. Rhodey lands beside him and watches as Tony brushes the hair from her face and the pained expression contorts away until nothing is left but the soft expression of sleeping beauty.
"Tony man, we have to go." Rhodey states.
Stark nods his head, "we have to get her out of here." He looks back and sees his best friends doesn't argue, only nodding his head.
"We'll get the kid to watch her," Rhodey states. "She'll be okay."
A soundless Mickey is left defenseless in the grass.

Honestly why has this taken so freaking long to get updated you may ask? Well it's simple... I still haven't watched homecoming yet.
