Chapter 008: Comfort Zone
P.O.V: Kozume Kenma

"Th—this is embarrassing..."I muttered trying to cover my legs by lowering the skirt that they had me try on so Sugawara can take my measurements for my outfit for the cross dressing pageant.

"I don't know...I think you look really cute in that outfit." Kuroo commented grinning while swaying back and forth on the chair.

"I'd have to agree with Kuroo on this one Kozume; you look adorable in this. Do you mind if I take a few pictures for my Instagram?" Sugawara said pulling his phone out of his school bag.

"Yes! I do mind"

Kuroo took a picture of me anyway catching me completely off guard; I crouched down trying to hide away from the world as quickly as possible. I let out a loud yelp as I felt a pair of cold hands underneath my skirt, I looked behind to find Kuroo crouched down behind me with his hand underneath my skirt openly groping me.

"Should we get you a pair of panties to complete the look...?" He questioned with a smug look on his face. "Preferably something with cats on it." He said teasing me so more.

I felt a pang of angry consume me; I slapped him across the face causing him to tumble back on to his back. I picked myself up before I marched towards the nearest bathroom to change out of these ridiculous clothes. When I came back into the room I handed Sugawara the bag with the clothes I had just try on in it, I turned towards Kuroo who sat there on the floor crisscross playing some random board game with Tsukishima, Hinata and Kageyama. Kuroo look up from the game to my gaze, his grin widened and I couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculous he look with that huge red hand print stuck to the side of his face. I moved on over to sit down beside him turning his head all the way towards me as I softly caress the side of his face where I had previously slapped him.

"...I'm sorry." I apologized while still caressing his right cheek.

"Nah its fine it doesn't hurt as much anymore, though you can make it up to me though." He said, grabbing a hold of my hand holding it in place against his cheek.

I cocked my head to the side slightly as I look up into his eyes wondering what he meant by that. I watch as his grin turned into a sly one causing me to break out into a cold sweat, he didn't say more and just went back to playing his little game with everyone else with me by his side clinging on to his free hand fearing for my life.

"Thanks for inviting us to the festival." Sugawara spoke up suddenly while he moved his piece on the board. "Is it okay for other school to attend? I mean it is a school today technically."

"It's not a problem it's the least we could do since you guys are helping us out with the seat up and all, and it's not just you guys but we asked Akaashi and Bokuto and the rest of the team to come help us as well since we're very short on hands since we can't ask the other students for help." Kuroo explained rolling the dice before he moved his piece six tiles forward from where he previously stood.

"You suck at this game..." I commented but I didn't receive a response from Kuroo which made my fear for later deepen.

"We can also ask a few of the locals to come help us as well." Sugawara suggested.

"Kunami is going to ask her mother to spear a few of her staffers to come help with the bigger stuff that we obviously can't handle." Kuroo informed.

"Still it wouldn't hurt to have a little bit more help since we only have the weekend before the festival to do all the set up." Sugawara said moving his piece to claim victory over the rest of them.

"Ah shit he won again..." Kuroo commented.

"Let's face it there's no winning against Sugawara-Senpai." Kageyama said letting out a small sigh.

"That's definitely true..." Tsukishima and Hinata said simultaneously.

"I've been meaning to ask the two of you something...?" Kuroo said directing his attention towards Sugawara and Kageyama.

"Yeah...?"

"Go right ahead..."

"Are the two of you...dating by any chase...?" Kuroo questioned, his eyes bouncing from Kageyama to Sugawara.

I saw a faint blush appear on Sugawara's face which was a dead giveaway but Kageyama didn't look all to happy with the question I saw his hand balled up into a fist as he looked away from us with a pained expression on his face.

"Yes—."

"No, were not. What would give you that idea in the first place?" Kageyama said, interrupting Sugawara completely. "There's absolutely nothing between the two of us." He repeated once more causing Sugawara to look down in disappointment.

"But...we saw the two of you kissing in front of the station a few days ago so we assumed that there was something there or at least something going on." Kuroo said, turning to me and then Tsukishima and Hinata indicating who all saw the two of them kissing that faithful night after we left the local hardware store to help with the repainting of old food stalls for the festival.

"There's no relationship between Senpai and I, it's all just physical he made sure of that..." Kageyama stated before he got up grabbing his bag and jacket with him. "We'll be handing out first..." Kageyama announced nothing giving anyone a chance to say there goodbyes before he left the room slamming the door behind him.

"Sorry guys...!" Sugawara quickly gathered his belongings into his bag as quickly as possible so that he could give chase after Kageyama but before he could even step out of the classroom Hinata's question stopped him dead in his tracks.

"What did he mean 'it's all just physically'...?"

Sugawara's didn't say anything as he slowly removed his hand from the door handle, he crouched down burying his face into the crock of his knee as he let out a shaky breath that he himself didn't know he was holding.

"I didn't mean for it to happen but I did, I felt so ashamed as his Senpai but did nothing to stop it. Kageyama and I stayed behind after practice one day for a little bit of extra training everything seemed normal but one thing lead to another and we ended up having sex in the gym's storage room, and it wasn't just the one time either it was every time we got the chance to meet up; at school, at his or my place, at a hotel, and somewhere along the way he started to have feelings for me and confessed but I ended up saying something rather insensitive to him that really hurt his feelings." Sugawara explained still facing the door not once looking back at us.

"It couldn't off been that bad, what you said I mean; we all know that Kageyama can be a little bit on the sensitive side of things." Tsukishima bluntly stated.

"I told him; that it would be best if our relationship stayed physical for now but he was so persistent with his confession I ended up losing my cool and told him that he was simply just a replacement for the one I really wanted to be with." Sugawara said finally turning towards us tears streaming down the side of his face. "I acted like such a brat because I didn't get what I wanted with the person that I love and I took it out on him."

Neither of us said anything since none of us had the right words to help the situation; I stood up from where I sat and moved over to Sugawara pulling him into a hug burying his face into my chest which made his tears stop and everyone in the room to look at me with widened eyes.

"It's clear to me that you care for him a whole lot, and that you love him very much. Kageyama obviously still cares a lot about you so you shouldn't be sitting here feeling sorry for yourself; you need to go find him, talk to him and tell him how you really feel before...it's too late to say anything." I said pulling him back but keeping him at arm's length.

"Ko—Kozume..." I heard them all call out my name in a shock state.

"I—I don't normally do these types of things but Doctor Sherman says that I need to stop hiding behind my fears and step out of comfort zone once in awhile and do the things I don't normally do. Wanting to hold someone that's crying is a normal human reaction cause you want to make them feel better but I only do that with a very select few, but I don't want to do that anymore, you are my friend and I want to help you as best as I can even if it's something so simple as just a hug." I said, showing him a small but comforting smile.

"Kozume..." Is all he could manage at first while he held my gaze with his. "Thank you." He said wiping away the tears he shed with the sleeve of his uniform.

"Are you feeling better...?" I asked.

"Yes, yes and I know what I have to do now." He said with a determined look on his face. We helped each other up before sharing one last hug. "Thank you Kozume."

Sugawara excused himself before he ran out of the classroom to find Kageyama, a smile crept on to my face as I watched Sugawara run across the school yard from the classroom window, Kuroo placed a comforting hand on top of my head forcing me to look up at him and then towards Hinata who was grinning widely from besides Tsukishima. The four of us left school ground once we had finished cleaning up the used classroom, we parted ways with them once we were in the downtown area since Kuroo wanted to stop by somewhere while we were there. We walked into one of many women's underwear store earning us a few odd looks from the clerks working at the store, Kuroo browsed there selection without a care in the world picking out a few rather seductive pieces and I could not help but blush every time he'd pick one out.

"Good evening, is there anything I could do for you?" One of the clerks said.

"Yes I am looking for a gift for my lover; I want something sexy but easy for them since it's there first time putting on something so...revealing." Kuroo said, his gaze falling on to me when he said the word 'revealing'.

After we had finished shopping at the women's underwear store thanks to the clerk's help I expected us to head on home but Kuroo took me somewhere else that wasn't too far from the downtown area but I wasn't familiar with the area we were heading in, we came to a full stop at a rather luxurious looking establishment.

"Kuroo..."I called out to him in a rather low tone of voice when I realized where we were. I tugged on to his arm forcing him to look at me and he only held a sly look on his face. "Wh—Why here?" I question him.

"This is how you're going to make it up to me; I am going to both ravish and devour you until my thirsty is satisfied Kozume Kenma, and don't you think there's any escaping from this." Kuroo replied back with low and husky voice, before I could even respond Kuroo dragged me along with him inside the 'love hotel' were I felt that I might actually lose all the innocence I have left.

Side story 001.

"Kageyama!" Koshi reached out grabbing a firm hold of Kageyama's arm forcing him to stop. Kageyama looked back at him through blurry vision which made the silver hair boy's heart ache tremendously. "I am sorry, I am really, really sorry." Koshi apologize to him, he badly wanted to hug the raven hair boy but held himself back.

"No, I should apologize for acting so immature. I try so hard to impress you by acting mature but I always end up acting like a complete brat." Tobio said, his gaze dropping to the floor as he felt ashamed in the presence of his Senpai and crush. "I acted so bratty back then too by walking out on you like that leaving you behind when I should have stayed and talked it out with you."

"Kageyama..." Said the silver haired boy staring up at him in 'awe' at how mature he was being right now without himself even noticing. Koshi couldn't help but feel so little right now as he face the rave haired boy. "How do you manage to always sweep me off my feet with your words, Kageyama?" Koshi stepped in closer towards the boy wrapping his arms around him.

"I don't to just sweep you off your feet Senpai; I want all of you complete." Said the rave haired boy.

"Back then I said some really insensitive things to you because I was hurt, because the person that I loved didn't choose me and I ended up taking my anger out on you. It was my anger that blocked out all of my other emotions, because had you asked me to be your boyfriend I would of said yes."

"...What's stopping you now?" Questioned the raven haired boy, forcing Koshi to look up and meet his gaze. "I want to be with you but what about you?" He said wrapping his arms tightly around the silver hair boy burying his face into his shoulder to hide his tears from me. "I am a few years younger than you and I know I can't be the man you want me to be, and I know that right now I can't take care of you because I am still just a brat but I can still love you."

"...I don't care if sometimes you can be rather bratty nor do I care if sometimes you can be overly sensitive, those are the things that made me fall in love with."

Tobio lifted his head up from on top of Koshi shoulder with tears streaming down the side of his face, Koshi cupped his face in between his hands using his thumbs to wipe away the tears his shed before closing the gap between them capturing his lips with his for an intimate and passionate kiss.
