" Hey where's Luke?" I asked Calum who was getting comfortable on my bed.great....(note the sarcasm). " he's downstairs,after a while of staring at the wall he fell asleep" he said and I rolled my eyes" not surprised" I mumbled." So anyways, I heard what she said" he said looking me dead in the eye. His eyes are big and brown they're kinda creeping out. " ok...so why do you have to say about that" I need to know what's going through that head." Um...."

"I'm waiting"I'm not one of those patient people especially if it's something that involves my friends/fries.i kinda felt bad because he was nervous and was breathing hard." Um got to go bye" he go up from the bed." Calum wa-" I tried to stop him but he ran out the room.How rude. I reached for my phone that was under my pillow and started to text Sam to see if she was ok.

I turned off my phone and went to change into something more comfortable. Black skinny jeans, grey batman shirt and my white Hightop. I grabbed my phone and headed downstairs.I'm guessing Luke left with Calum since he wasn't there. I headed out the door with my skateboard and Sam was waiting in front of her house putting on her roller blades. She rolled over to me and we went to the park.
" nothing sounds better than the sound of children crying" she said as she saw a kid fall off the swing." Your so mean" I said heading towards the bench." Thanks...Imma go ride around the park"she said and I stayed there.
I sat there watching kids jump the swing set and run around having fun. And then I heard a small whimper.i look to my left and a small golden retriever came hopping towards me with an injured leg. I bent down to help him. I looked at him for a few seconds. It didn't look like a stray or rabid dog.

As I was giving the dog water from a water bottle I had brought a women walked up to me. " that dog in front of you used to be my neighbors dog" she said and I looked up at her in confusing to what happened."What happened to the owner?" I asked, she sat next to me.

" The owner abused the dog,everyday you would hear her yelling at the dog and hitting the dog with a belt, many neighbors called to complain but she continued"my eyes widen in shock to what she said." Just a few days ago she got tired of the dog and took him to the yard that was next to mine, and she got in her car and dropped the door out on the road, she slightly ran over his paw That's why he's limping, I wanted to go get him but he got spooked and took off limping, and I guess you found him" she ended, tears build up in my eyes,who would do something to animals like this, sometime I hate us humans for being so cruel.

"Well actually he found me" I weakly chuckled. We sat there in silence until she spoke up." I was gonna take him to the pound but if he doesn't get adopted after four days they will-" she said but I cut her off."yea I know" I looked down at the dog who wanted me to pet him, he rolled over on his back wanting me to rub his belly. I smiled of how cute he is." Well sadly I have to go,I need to take my kid to daycare" she said as she went to get her kid, I nodded and started texting Sam, i couldn't see her since she went to ride around the park.

Me: hey,um Imma head home. Something came up, and I need to take care of it or should I say him

I locked my phone and wondered if I should pick up the dog,he was limping so I guess I should,but would probably bite. I decided to take that chance and softly picked him up. He was actually glad to be held in my arms,he was pretty calm on the way home, Which was surprising since I rode home on my skateboard. When I got home I decided i should give him a bath, he wasn't necessarily dirty but it was hot outside and he was outside for a whole two days he must've been hot. It was almost 90° for the past week. This is not good for dogs.

Before I put him in the bath I changed into some shorts and a sweatshirt. I picked him up and headed to the bathroom. I turned on the water warm and checked to see if it was just the right temperature, as I lowered him into the bath I expected he was gonna start panicking but he actually enjoyed it. I shampooed him and then rinsed him off." You were a good boy" I said in a soft baby voice. I grabbed a towel and wrapped him up like a baby and headed back into the room.

After I set him on my bed he shook himself dry, I noticed a small wound on his leg and immediately went to wrap it in bandages." You hungry boy?oh course you are" I say rubbing his tummy. I left him laying on my bed and ran over to my neighbor who have two German shepards, I asked for some supplies and ran back to my house.

As I walked in, he came down the stairs heading towards me. I sat two bowls on the floor in front of me that my neighbor gave me, I filled one with water and the other with food. He started eating, he was really hungry, since he hadn't eaten in 2days or more since his owner didn't seem to be a good parent to her dog. I sat on the floor admiring how cute he looked eating when the doorbell rang, I lazily got up to answer it.

" Hi Eve" Luke greeted." Hey" I greeted back." I Left my phone in your room the other can I go up and get it?" He asked and I nodded.

I went back over to the dog who had finished eating. He crawled up to my lap and laid there. " you tired boy?" I softly said as I pet him.

Luke came running back down the stairs and looked at me I'm Awe."why are you looking at me like that" I asked him who stood there looking at me." You are so good with animals. It just looks cute" he whispered. "Thanks,I grew up with animals my whole life and i always admired them,I found this guy at the park" I smiled as i looked at the dog. Luke didn't say anything he just walked over to where I was sitting and sat on the floor with me. He pet the dog on his head and smiled." I think he likes me " I said as I softly pet his head." Well who wouldn't like you" Luke muttered, i don't think I heard his right but I didn't really put thought to that, I kept admiring how cute this little guy is as he walked over to Luke and licked his face, Luke cutely laughed and I couldn't help myself so I took a pic. He was still giggling as the pup licked his face. He was so cute, both Luke and the pup. Seeing Luke with the pup made me like him even more.

I decided to get up before I say something. I walk over to the kitchen and grabbed a bowl of green grapes. I walked over to the couch and watch curious George,don't judge me. The pup came over to me and cuddled on my lap as I ate grapes. Luke came over next to me and took a grape." That's one less grape for me" I pouted. He slightly laughed and he took another one." Why do you hate me" I whined,he knows I love grapes so he should know how protective I get." I don't hate you" he laughed and he took two more." That's it no more for you" I moved the bowl to the under side of the couch and moved over bringing the sleeping pup on my lap with me,I think he's like 1years old, he wasn't a baby but he wasn't a teen either he was like a toddler pup, if that makes sense."Imma gonna have to name you soon" I said to the pup.Luke started speaking sadly "Eve come back next to me I'm cold I need you warmth" he stretched out his arms for me to go back." No,you keep eating my grapes" I said as I watched tv. He moved over to me and brought me to his chest.even though I was mad that he took my grapes he was very comfy.i was too lazily to go away from him so I stayed there.

Luke's POV-
Eve stayed in my arms and fell asleep. The small dog that was in her lap had gone to the other couch and fell asleep of a soft pillow. Look at Eve she was snuggled up close to me I wrapped my arms loosely around her body bringing her closer to me. She looked so angelic sleeping.i pulled always slightly to grab the cup of water that was sat on the table in front of me,as I reached forward she whimpered a little, I moved back to where I was and i felt her wrap her arms around my waist as she snuggles up closer to me. She buried her head in my chest and muttered something in her sleep. I tried listening closely as I heard her say a few words " don't leave me Luke" she mumbled into my shirt. She was sleep-talking. I smiled and she started saying something else" You're....everything....to me".
I started thinking of what she had said, she probably didn't mean it,she was sleeping.hearing her say those words made my heart beat faster.i closed my eyes and started falling asleep.

SAMs POV-

Its been like 2 hours since Eve had texted me that she had to leave,she had said something about 'taking care of him' whatever that meant, it's gonna get dark soon so I should head back to her place I'm roller blading back, when I noticed a huge hill,Which looked like it would be cool to ride down,I start going down the hill, it was fun until the point where I was going too fast that I couldn't stop, I tried stopping but the hill was too steep. I tripped over a rock which made me fly,but not the kind of fly that kids always with they could do, it was more like 'I'm about to fall on my face' kind of fly. I closed my eyes hoping it wouldn't hurt as much. I felt someone catch me mid air and said "you ok?" I opened my eyes to see who it was...
