FOR THE FIRST TIME IN FOREVER
~❄~ 3 years later ~❄~
A new dawn rises over the fjords of the wonderful Kingdom of Arendelle. Ships begin pulling up to the docks as guests pile out.
"Welcome to Arendelle!" The dock master greets, welcoming all royal and none royal visitors into their lovely kingdom.
A little boy tries to get away as his mother tries to stuff him in his bunad jacket. He asks irritatedly, "why do I have to wear this?"
"Because the King has come of age. It's Coronation Day!" His mother cheers happily.
"That's not my fault." The boy grunts, but allows his mother to drag him to wherever she had planned to go before the ceremony started.
They pass the May Pole being raised and a Sami ice harvester chatting with his reindeer. We recognize them as Louis and Kevin, all grown up. Kevin hops around excitedly like a dog and nuzzles Louis' chest.
"What do you want, Kev?" Louis asks his long time best friend. He leans in and speaks for Kevin, as if he can.
"Give me a snack."
"What's the magic word?" He says in his regular voice.
"Please!"
Pulling out a carrot from his shirt pocket, Louis hands it to Kevin. The reindeer eyed it hungrily and tries to bite the whole thing. "Hey, hey, hey! Share!" Louis reminds.
Kevin takes a smaller bite out of the carrot, then Louis has a bite himself, not seeming to care that it's covered in reindeer slobber. Hey, they're best buds, that's no problem for them.
We move on to Jenna and Channing, a super-excited couple who rush towards the castle.
"I can't believe they're finally opening up the gates!" Jenna exclaims, a wide smile on her face. Channing adds, "and for a whole day! Faster, Jenna!"
They pass a tiny but menacing duke, who wears taps on his shoes to 'enhance' his presence. Two thug guards follow close behind him.
"Ah, Arendelle, our most mysterious trade partner. Open those gates so I may unlock your secrets and exploit your riches." He then catches himself speaking his thoughts aloud. "Did I just say that out loud?"
We leave him and head down the bridge towards the castle gates, passing an Irishman and a Spanish Dignitary.
"Oh, me sore eyes can't wait to see the
King and the Prince. I bet they're absolutely charming." The Irishman said. The Spanish dignitary nodding in agreement.
"I bet they are captivating gents."
Moving past them, we peek into a particular castle window. Inside the room of the Prince, we find a nineteen year old Harry snoring, and drooling into his pillow as well.
A knock came from his door. Lou, one of his favorite staff members working in the castle, had came to wake the sleepy Prince up.
"Prince Harry...?"
Harry sits up on his bed, eyes not even fully open, hair sticking out from every direction and he coughs, snorts, and pulls a strand of his hair out of his mouth.
"...huh? Yeah?"
"Sorry to wake you, sir but--"
"No, you didn't. I've been up-" a yawn escapes the Prince's mouth."-for hours."
Not even a minute has passed, and he falls back asleep while sitting. He begins to snore as his head drops from lack of support, startling him awake. "Who is it?"
Lou rolled her eyes with a knowing smile, already used to these wake up calls she would do every morning in order for Harry to get up. "It's still me, sir. Time to get ready."
"Ready for what?"
"Your brother's coronation, sir."
"My brother's...cor-neration..."
He opens one eye enough to catch sight of his coronation suit, bolting up wide awake in excitement.
"It's Coronation Day!"
Harry bursts out of his room, now wearing his coronation suit. He combs his fingers through his curly hair and nodded once he was satisfied with how it looked.
Seeing the hustle and bustle of preparations being done by the castle servants, he couldn't help but burst into song.
"The window is open! So's that door! I didn't know they did that anymore. Who knew we owned 8000 salad plates...?"
Harry slides along the floor of the ballroom in his socks.
"For years I've roamed these empty halls, why have a ballroom with no balls? Finally, they're opening up the gates!"
He makes it to the bottom of the stairs after sliding down it's rail,
"There'll be actual, real, live people."
Shaking the hand of a suit of armor, and accidentally breaking it, he tries to hide the evidence by placing the hand part into where the shoulder should be.
"It'll be totally strange. But wow am I so ready for this change!"
Harry comes to a window and jumps out onto a window washer's pulley. He raises himself up to see the ships arriving.
"For the first time in forever, there'll be magic, there'll be light,
For the first time in forever, I'll be dancing through the night."
He walks through the garden and follows a family of geese.
"Don't know if I'm elated or gassy, but I'm somewhere in that zone,
Cause for the first time in forever,
I won't be alone."
"I can't wait to meet everyone!" He says to a duckling he picked up into his hands, gasping as a thought came into his head.
"What if I meet THE ONE?"
Harry twists himself in a velvet drape like it's a gown. He acts like he was gorgeous, but really, he looked ridiculous. Nobody knew, but he had a feminine side under all the, well, male parts.
"Tonight, imagine me gown and all- fetchingly draped against the wall. The picture of sophisticated grace."
He notices the bust of a man across the room.
"I suddenly see him standing there, a beautiful stranger tall and fair. I wanna stuff some chocolate in my face!"
He says while literally stuffing his face with chocolate, swallowing quickly.
"But then we laugh and talk all evening, which is totally bizarre. Nothing like the life I've led so far."
He grabs the bust of the man and swings it around a tad too harshly, resulting for it to go flying out of his hands, landing right on top of the cake.
"Oops."
Harry bursts into the portrait room, bouncing on the furniture, and interacting with the paintings.
"For the first time in forever, there'll be magic, there'll be fun.
For the first time in forever, I could be noticed by someone.
And I know it is totally crazy, to dream I find romance.
But for the first time in forever...at least I got a chance."
Inside the library, Zayn, now a very gentleman-like twenty two year old, watches out the window as the coronation guests arrive. Breathing in deeply, he quietly said/sang to himself.
"Don't let them in.
Don't let them see.
Be the good guy
You always have to be."
Zayn moves to a painting of his father's coronation. He takes off his gloves and mimics the painting by holding a candle stick and ornament in place of an orb and scepter.
"Conceal. Don't feel.
Put on a show.
Make one wrong move
And everyone will know."
Though he tried so hard, the candlestick and ornament end up icing over. Zayn gasps, slams them back down onto the table and tries to reassure himself.
"But it's only for today."
We cut between Harry's excitement and Zayn's nerves.
"It's only for today!"
"It's agony to wait."
"It's agony to wait!"
Zayn opens the library's doors.
"Tell the guards to open up...the gate."
"The gate!"
Finally, the gates are open! Harry moves through the crowd, admiring people around him.
"For the first time in forever."
"Don't let them in,
Don't let them see."
"I'm getting what I'm dreaming of."
"Be the good guy
You always have to be."
"A chance to change my lonely world."
"Conceal."
"A chance to find true love!"
"Conceal. Don't feel. Don't let them know!"
Harry hurries over the bridge and into the village square.
"I know it all ends tomorrow,
So it has to be today!
Cause for the first time in forever...
For the first time in forever...
Nothing's in my way!!!"
Out of nowhere, Harry gets slammed right into the breast of a horse. He falls back and lands in a small wooden boat. It tips off the dock as he heads overboard. But just then, the horse slams his hoof into the boat and steadies it.
"Hey!" A frustrated Harry says, taking a seaweed out of his hair. How dare someone ruin this amazing moment for him!
"I'm so sorry. Are you hurt?"
Ya think? Harry wanted to answer back, but his eyes caught on the sight of the rider of the horse, looking very handsome and regal.
"Hey. I-ya, no. No. I'm okay." He says gentler.
"Are you sure?" The handsome guy asks again to make sure.
"Yeah, I just wasn't looking where I was going. But I'm okay."
The rider hops down from his horse and steps into the boat.
"I'm great, actually." Harry admits.
"Oh, thank goodness." Sighed the stranger, offering his hand for Harry to take as their eyes meet and he helps the curly haired lad out.
"Prince Nick of the Southern Isles." He bowed. Harry doing the same and introducing himself as well.
"Prince Harry of Arendelle."
"Prince...? Your highness."
Nick drops to his knees, head bowed as respect to the Prince of this kingdom. The horse bows too, curling his hoof up and out of the boat.
The boat tips from lack of support, resulting for Nick to tumble on top of Harry. Awkward.
"Hi...again." Harry tries to lessen the awkwardness, but only making it worse. He can't help it! He's an awkward person in general.
The horse slams his foot back into the boat to stabilize it. Harry and Nick tumble to the other way, and now Harry was on top of him.
"Oh boy." Nick breaths out.
"Ha...this is awkward. Not you're awkward, but I'm awkward. You're gorgeous." Did he just say that? "Wait, what?"
Nick quickly gets to his feet and helps Harry up again. "I'd like to apologize for hitting the Prince of Arendelle with my horse...and for every moment after."
"No. No-no. It's fine. I'm not THAT Prince. I mean, if you'd hit my brother Zayn, that would be--yeash! 'Cuz, you know..." Harry trails off, then focuses his attention to the horse, patting it's head lightly. "Hello."
He turns back to Nick. "But, lucky you, it's-it's just me."
"Just you?"
Nick smiles at the Prince before him, amused. Harry smiles back, drinking in Nick's handsomeness, until he hears the ringing of bells.
"...the bells. The coronation. I-I-I better go. I have to...I better go." He hurries off, stops and turns back to give Nick a little wave.
"Bye!" He rushes off again, Nick waving back. The horse waves too, once again taking his hoof out of the boat.
"Oh no."
The boat falls, with Nick in it. SPLASH! It lands upside down in the water. Nick raises it up off of him, gasping for air. He remembered how cute and beautiful Harry looked, and couldn't help but let a smile break out onto his face.
~❄~❄~❄~❄~❄~❄~
Zayn stands at the alter. Harry standing off to another side, he peeks out to the audience, searching for a familiar face till his eyes spot Nick, in a new set of clothes. He waves at Harry from the pews, Harry doing the same, but only a small wave where only Nick could see.
The crown is placed on Zayn's head. The scepter and orb are presented to him on a pillow. He slowly reaches for them when the Bishop stops him, whispering quietly for only he and Zayn could hear.
"Your Majesty, the gloves."
Zayn hesitates, breathing nervously while shakily removing his gloves, placing them on the pillow. He takes the orb and scepter, then turns to the people.
While the Bishop said a few words in Old Norse even he couldn't understand due to the nerves and panic he was feeling, seeing that the orb and scepter were slowly freezing over, he tried to remain calm.
"...King Zayn of Arendelle." The Bishop announced, repeated by the crowd of people who were smiling happily for their new ruler.
"King Zayn of Arendelle!"
Just in time. Zayn manages to set the orb and scepter back down on the pillow before anyone notices the ice. He picks up his gloves, slipping them on and released a sigh of relief, then proudly stood before the audience with a tight smile.
He made it.
Here's chapter 2! ヽ(*⌒∇⌒*)ノ
Ooh, Harry finally met Nick.
(If I'm being completely honest, I had on a disgusted face while writing the part where Harry and Nick meet. It just wasn't LARRY! No offense to Nick, I think he's a good guy, but B*TCH! BACK AWAY FROM LOUIS' MAN!)
And yeah, I'll be adding random celebs and artists to the story as the additional characters.
So yeah! XD
I don't think I can update tomorrow cause I'll be busy in school for a whole week. But I'll try to at least get something done in my spare time.
As always, don't forget to Vote, Comment, and Enjoy Reading!
Bye Flurries! xx
