When Molly came home from the after party at Eli's house, she didn't expect to see Johnny waiting for her by her parking spot and she definitely didn't expect him to say Miguel had gone to Mexico in search of his dad.

He told her that he and Robby, who was inside of his apartment, were leaving in the morning to get him, and that she was in charge of telling the Eagle Fangs that they were going to have to shut down.

Even though Molly hated that she would have to break the news to her team about the dojo closing and confused on why Johnny thought it was a good idea to take Robby with him to find Miguel, Molly agreed, wanting to take some stress off of the man.

So, Molly texted the Eagle Fangs group chat and told them to all meet at the warehouse at 3pm the next day. She just spent most of the night with them and knew at least half of them would be too hungover to head to the warehouse any earlier.

When Molly got there at 3, everyone else was already there. She slowly walked to stand in front of her team and face them. Her eyes darted around the room, barely staying on one persons face for more than a second as she picked at her cuticles.

"Uh... Thanks for coming, everyone. It means a lot. Miguel and Sensei Lawrence are out of town so Sensei asked me to bring everyone here to to tell you guys something." Molly stuttered out and everyone squinted at Molly, giving her confused looks.

"Is everything okay? You're fiddling with your fingers a lot and you're not looking at any of us." Bert asked and Molly finally looked someone in the eyes. She nodded her head at Bert's question, moving her hands to her side to stop fidgeting.

"Yeah... Yeah, I'm okay." Molly reassured but no one believed her. She licked her lips and took a deep breath. "It's just... the tournament didn't go our way and we told Cobra Kai that we'd close our dojo if we lost. So... that's what we're going to do."

She watched as her teammates looked between each other in confusion and Molly sighed. "As of today, Eagle Fang Karate is closed for business."

Every head snapped back to Molly, their eyes wide and their jaws dropped.

"What?" Mitch yelled and Devon shook her head, taking a small step closer to the girl. "Wait, Molly–"

"I hate it too." Molly interrupted. "I don't want to say it as much as you guys don't want to hear it. But both Sensei Lawrence and LaRusso said continuing our dojos only leaves targets on our backs." She watched as everyone's eyes moved to the ground and Molly shrugged. "I don't know about you guys, but I want that target off."

She watched Bert cringe in front of her and she frowned. "Too cheesy?" Molly asked and Bert nodded. "Too cheesy." He said and Molly sighed.

"Sorry. But um... that was the only reason I called you all here. I didn't think it'd be right of me to send it over text so sorry if anyone's rides have to turn around now." Molly said and with glum expressions, Eagle Fang all slowly started to walk out of the warehouse.

Molly didn't leave right away just incase anyone no longer had a ride home. While she waited in her car, her phone rang and she smiled at Eli's contact.

She quickly answered the phone and brought it up to her ear. "Hey!"

"Hey, um... I'm at your apartment... You're not." Eli said nervously.

Molly's eyebrows raised in amusement and she chuckled, nodding her head even though Eli couldn't see her. "I know I'm not." She said and the boy sighed.

"Do you know when you will be back? Your moms saw me pull up and invited me inside and told me I could wait for you here." Eli said, tapping his foot anxiously as he sat at Molly's desk in her room.

"They must really like you." Molly said, a big smile growing on her face and Eli let out a playful scoff. "Please! They love me! I always did game night." He defended and Molly snickered.

"Yeah, momma liked that you never snitched on her when she cheated." Molly said and Eli shrugged casually. "Whatever gets your parents to like me."

Molly licked her lips to hide her smile. She looked around the parking lot of Eagle Fang and saw Bert, who was the last one there, finally get picked up. Knowing she didn't have to take anyone home, Molly sighed. "I'm leaving the warehouse right now. I was gonna stop at In-n-Out and then be home."

Eli's face scrunched and he stopped playing with the fairy batman lego Molly kept on her desk. "Did Sensei Lawrence cancel Eagle Fang training?" He asked, Eli having just coming back from Miyagi-Do where Daniel cancelled training.

"Technically... I did. Sensei Lawrence wasn't here today." Molly winced out and Eli sat up, readjusting in his seat. "What? Where's Sensei Lawrence?" He asked and Molly's eyebrows furrowed. She thought if anything, Miguel would've texted Eli about him leaving to Mexico.

"You didn't hear?" She asked and Eli shrugged, moving out of the seat by Molly's desk and walking to her bed. "Hear what?" He asked, falling onto the mattress.

Molly hesitated. If Miguel didn't text Hawk, maybe he didn't want him to know. But then Molly thought about how Johnny not only told Robby about Miguel's situation, but took Robby with him to bring Miguel back. If Miguel was gonna be mad at anyone for telling people his business, it'd be Johnny, not Molly.

"Miguel went to Mexico to find his dad. Sensei went after him." Molly said and Hawk, who was lying back, shot up in seconds. "What? When? We just say him yesterday." Hawk yelled before he sighed and fell back onto the bed again. "That's why he wasn't answering my texts. I thought he was mad at me because we didn't invite him to the after party. Wait, you said you're going to In-n-Out?"

Molly smiled. "What do you want?" She asked even though she knew the boys order.

"Double Double with fries and a coke, please." Hawk said, listing the order Molly already knew. She smiled both to herself for remembering and the idea of going back to her house with Eli waiting for her.

"I'll be back at my house soon." Molly said and Eli nodded, his head moving to look around the room when his eyes fell on Molly's laptop at the foot of her bed. He reached forward, grabbing it and rest it on his stomach. "Okay! Hey, wait. Can I watch movies on your laptop until you get back?"

Molly sighed, rolling her eyes a little. "Yeah, sure. Do you remember my password?" She asked and she could hear Eli typing on her laptop before he hummed, silently telling her he got in.

"Okay, I'll be back soon." Molly said and she could hear Eli yell "bye" since he had her on speaker before she hung up.

...

Surprisingly, In-n-Out didn't have too long of a line. When Molly got home, she parked her car right next to Eli's motorcycle, grabbed her things and her food, and headed upstairs.

She walked into her house and said hi to her moms, who were screaming at Family Feud on their TV because one of the contestants didn't say an obvious answer to the question.

Molly continued walking toward her room and smiled when she saw Eli in her bed, The Dark Knight playing on her laptop. She walked toward her bed and Eli paused the movie when she came in, his eyes glued on her.

"Hey!" She said happily, handing Eli his coke and opening the bag of food to sort everything.

Eli blinked, knocking himself out of the daze he was in to take his drink out of Molly's hands. "Hey." He muttered back and Molly smiled, handing Eli his food as her eyes moved to the laptop. "Watching my favorite superhero movie with my favorite joker?" Molly asked, a small smirk on her face.

Hawk laughed nervously, shrugging his shoulders as he started to play the movie again. "Its a great movie." He defended and Molly hummed in agreement, leaning over to restart the movie so she could watch it from the beginning.

Molly took off her shoes and climbed into her bed beside Hawk, her eyes on the movie. Eli's eyes stayed glued on Molly next to him, completely ignoring the movie playing in front of them. "So um..." He started. When Molly turned to him, Eli nervously looked down at his hands. "What are you doing on Wednesday?"

"I have a tattoo appointment." Molly answered and Eli's eyes widened. He sat up straighter, scooting closer to Molly. "What? You're getting another tattoo?" He asked and Molly smiled.

She laughed as she took a sip of her pink lemonade. "Yep. I called Rico and everything." She said, putting the lemonade down and starting to unwrap her burger. Eli's jaw dropped this time, his eyes still wide. "Like... my Rico?" He asked and Molly rolled her eyes, giving Eli a small look through her eyelashes.

"Well, I mean technically Rico is my tattoo guy since I'm the one that found him and you highjacked my tattoo appointment, but yes, your Rico." Molly said with a smile and Eli just stared at her. He remembered the day he got his hawk tattoo and Molly got her stars. His eyes practically sparkled as he leaned closer to Molly, giving her small smile. "Can I come?" He asked, his voice softer and a little higher in excitement.

Molly took another bite of food, reminding Eli that he had a burger, fries, and a drink in front of him. He started to eat his burger as Molly spoke. "Why? You want another tattoo?"

Molly turned to him, her eyebrows raised in amusement and Hawk nodded his head crazily, quickly swallowing his food so he could talk. "Yeah! I want to cover up the grim reaper and get something else."

"Okay! We can call Rico and see if he has any openings before or after me." Molly asked and Eli's smile doubled in size. "Perfect. Um... How about Friday? What are you doing on Friday?" He asked.

Molly tilted her head, a smile tugging at her lips as she caught the slight shift in his tone. She let out a soft laugh, thinking Eli's constant questions were cute. "I don't think so..." She finally said, turning to look at Eli. "Why?"

Eli shifted, his confidence now gone and replaced by something softer and more vulnerable. "I was thinking..." He paused, his eyes flicking to hers. The corners of his mouth lifted into a small smile as soon as his eyes landed on hers. "You and I could go on a date."

Molly felt her breath hitch as a huge smile she couldn't control started to grow on her face. She felt her stomach do a somersault as she thought about the idea.

"You want to go on a date?" She asked, her voice quieter now, but her smile huge.

Eli leaned back on his hands, turning his body fully toward her. His gaze never left hers as his hand reached up to cup her face. He felt his stomach flip when Molly instinctively leaned into his hand as his thumb brushing her cheek.

"I would love to go on another date with you, Molly." Eli whispered, his voice low.

Molly's breath caught as Eli leaned in. When she felt him kiss her, Molly couldn't stop the smile growing on her face. It wasn't rushed or practiced and it didn't feel new—it was something Molly came to love over a year ago. Something Molly never wanted to stop doing.

When they finally pulled apart, their noses grazed each other. Molly opened her eyes slowly to find Eli already looking at her, his eyes tracing over every part of her face.

"So..." Eli's started, voice breaking the silence. His tone lighter now as a smile grew on his face, though his eyes were still locked on hers. "How does that date sound?"

Molly let out a quiet laugh, her lips curving into a wide smile. Her cheeks flushed, but she didn't look away. "Sounds perfect." She replied, her voice barely above a whisper.

Eli smiled and with his hand still on her face, he pulled Molly into another kiss.
