No one asked; I just felt like it. Is it wrong to love an idea of a story too much? Probably, but I don't care. Y'all get a story and I get to get the last story out for all of 2019.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

"The surface is so festive right now, human Chara! Why is that? What is so special about tonight?" Blue asks as his little naga friend curls up around his arm. Her head gently nods back and forth in her sleepy state. Chara smiles. "It's the night before the New Year starts! We humans celebrate the changing of one year to another! Tonight happens to be the New Years Eve and when the clock strikes 12:00am, we'll officially be in a brand new year!"

"Wowie! That sounds amazing! I wonder why we never celebrated that?" Blue responded, scratching his head with his other arm, trying not to disturb the sleeping child on his right arm. Papyrus sighed and lit one of his cigarettes. "We didn't really care to recognize that another year passed with living down in the Underground. It wasn't anything we cared to celebrate because it wasn't a happy occasion." He finishes, taking a puff from the small white and orange stick. Blue nods, looking slightly down.

Quickly, the smaller skeleton began to smile once more. His thoughts shifting from the place he once called home to the happiness of his new found freedom. "But we're not down there anymore, so we can celebrate all we want!" The stars in his eyes made everyone smile as he began to jump around; waking the poor sleepy child latched onto his arm. "WhaAaAaA!" She hollered as her body was shook his several different directions.

Blue then immediately stopped his flailing and gasped. "Tiny snakeu, I'm so sorry I woke you!" He apologized. Chara and Papyrus both chuckled at the blue clad skeleton. "Hey Blue, since she's awake and it's nearly midnight; why not let her stay awake and see the fireworks? I think she'd love them just as much as you would." Chara asks, looking at Papyrus for approval on the idea. Both skeletons nod; though one was far more enthusiastic than the other.

"Yippee!" (Y/n) squeals excitedly. Her face then quickly shifts into one of confusion. "What are fireworksss?" Chara snickers, nearly inaudible to everyone. "Think of big booms plus pretty colors. That's what fireworks are!" The little one grin a fanged smile and clapped happily! "I wanna sssee! I wanna sssee!"

Before anyone could tell her to wait, a large booming sound came from behind the rag-tag team of friends. Reds and blue flew into the air and fizzled out in the beautiful night sky. "Woooow!" The group says in sync. "It's so pretty!" (Y/n) yells, clapping her hands. Blue nods and cuddles his face into her small form. "They're so bright!" Blue says with a playful grin. Chara nods as Papyrus is slack jawed.

"Happy New Year, (Y/n)! Let us celebrate the New Year with a new beginning full of amazing wonders yet to unfold!" Blue hollers, raising the naga child high in the air. (For his height, anyways) She smiles and fist-bumps the air. "To happiness on the surface!" "To new beginnings!" "To real cigarettes!"
