Chapter 18

They arrived at Taehyung's house after 50 minutes of driving. Jungkook came out of the car first before helping Jungsoo to get out and carrying him.

He knocked on the door of Taehyung's house, but he got no response from the other.

“I told you, Jungsoo, he must be sleeping right now.” Jungkook sighed because Taehyung still not responding to his knocks.

He put Jungsoo down on the ground and looked through the window. The curtain was kind of blocking his view, but he still can see through the small slit. He narrowed his eyes when he how messy the inside of Taehyung's house was.

“Jungsoo, get inside the car.” Jungkook told while trying to twist the doorknob.

“But I want to see Appa” Jungsoo pouted.

“Jungsoo, do you understand what I said?” Jungkook asked, looking at his son.

“Yes, Dad,” Jungsoo sighed and went back to the car, sitting beside the driver's seat.

Since Jungkook couldn't open the door, he started to kick it instead. He knew there must be something wrong inside. He kept kicking it and checking if the doorknob loosened.

With his one last kick, the doorknob fell to the ground, and immediately went inside.

There he saw unconscious, bloody Taehyung's body on the floor.

“Taehyung!”

He crouched and turned Taehyung's body around. He cursed when he saw how beaten Taehyung's face was. He carried Taehyung out of the house to bring him to the hospital.

Jungsoo noticed him, he was horrified to see blood on his Appa's body. Jungkook put Taehyung in the passenger seat and started to drive away.

Once they arrived at the hospital, Jungkook was waiting for the result in the ER. The doctor was currently examining Taehyung's body.

“Mr. Jeon,” The doctor finally came out and called Jungkook.

“How is he, doc?” Jungkook asked worriedly, not minding the blood on his hands and shirt.

“He is doing fine, Mr. Jeon, fortunately, he didn't get any internal damage and bleeding. However, it may take a long for him to heal because he got severe and many wounds and bruises on his body. Furthermore, I will conduct an X-ray once he wakes up to check if he gets any damage to his brain.” Doctor Seung stated.

“Thank you, Doc.” Jungkook sighed in relief.

“Mr. Jeon, I know this isn't the right time to ask this, but who does this to him? What he went through was pretty brutal. I can tell that he got beaten with the use of a bat.” Doctor Seung explained.

Jungkook doesn't know anything, he doesn't have any idea who will do this to Taehyung.

If there's someone who can do this to Taehyung, it might be Mr. Chong's alliance.

But he already killed them.

Who else can do this besides Mr. Chong?

He knew Taehyung very well, he was sure that Taehyung didn't have that many enemies (well, maybe because they were dead after laying their filthy hands on him.)

“Mom”

Jungkook muttered because his phone was ringing and his mother's name showed up on his phone.
