IT STARTS LIKE A GLITCH TO THE SYSTEM. Tabitha Young accepts the opportunity of a lifetime: a chance to work at the Tokyo headquarters of a huge software development company. Normally, she would hesitate, but she's teaching herself to say, yes. So she packs her bags, moves away from her family and friends in America, for something different — for success. And then, she's presented with another opportunity where she would typically hesitate, and that opportunity comes in the form of a handsome salaryman named Kento Nanami.

This is the first moment that Tabitha feels time stop.

However, when you take a leap of faith, sometimes there can be disastrous consequences. After 3 long years with her salaryman, Tabitha begins to suspect he is lying to her. He's pulling away, and spending more hours at "work." She knows something is amiss. So she leaves him, and he lets her, realizing that he might've been pushing her away subconsciously the entire time. He would rather she leave now and live a better life with a better man, than be in more danger with him, due to his undisclosed career.

But then, Tabitha Young sees Kento Nanami 2 years later when her best friend marries his former colleague. And by means out of her control, TIME SEEMS TO STOP AGAIN.

I just love nanami sm 🥹 he's soooooo husband-coded 🥹 this plot has been living in my brain since like november 2023 and I'm pretty sure pelides was the first person I told. I've gone back and forth with wanting to write it, and then not writing it, but then I was talking about it to my bestie ari and we were basically like 2 girls saying EXACTLYYYYYY to each other. now here we are. so basically I HAD to publish this for my own mental well being LMAO

I want to preface that the characters in this fic skew older, which ig is just my thing now. (I'm tired of writing about younger people, nor do I want to lol.) in the prologue, tabitha is like 24 and kento is 26, then years pass between them being in a relationship and breaking up, so by chapter 1, tabitha is 29 and kento is 31. also the real actor fcs are just in there for visuals!! please imagine tab and kento as anyone, idc. just bear in mind that tabitha is a chinese american. but their animated fcs are how I see them in my head 💘
