Act One: The Arrival
Chapter Twenty-Seven: Prom

It had been two weeks since Phil had moved to Forks, and he was currently sleeping on Charlie's couch while he tried to find a place, though Charlie said he could crash there for as long as he needed to, the two had certainly grown closer during that time.

It was finally time for Prom, and Lena and the girls were getting ready in her room. True to their earlier arrangement, the four were going together as friends.

Lauren was doing Lena's hair, while Jess was doing Angela's and Lena was going to do Lauren's hair, and then they were going to do each other's nails to match their dresses. While Jess and Ang were doing the same thing. They were all going as friends but technically Lena and Lauren were going together and Jess and Ang were, though Lena was driving the four of them.

There was a knock at the door and Phil's voice was heard, "Sweetheart?"

"What's up, Dad?" Lena called back.

"Someone is here to see you, so I'm going to bring them up if that's okay."

"Sure, Dad, it's fine." The spell Lena has around her room only keeps unwanted visitors with bad intentions and anyone she doesn't trust out of the room, so her dad and Charlie, or anyone that Lena trusts, can get in with no issues.

"Do you know who it is?"

Lena shook her head but then grinned as she felt the familiar aura of her mother, as soon as the older blonde came into view, Lena squealed "Mom!" Lauren was finished with her hair, and Lena got up and hugged her mother.

"Lena, my darling, it's so good to see you little dove." The older blonde hugged her daughter back. "Now I think it's high time you introduced me to your friends that I've heard so much about over the last few months."

"Okay, so Mom this is Lauren she was my first friend here, we met on the first day that I started school, and we just immediately clicked. Next, we have Angela who I met through Lauren in my first class since we had it together we also clicked pretty easily and then last but not least we have Jessica, I met her at lunch on my first day of school, but we didn't get to talk much then it took a few days for us to be able to talk and get to know each other but when we did, we clicked as well, and they are now my best friends and I would literally trust the three of them with my life." Kassia chuckled, having seen the soul-sibling bond between them the moment she entered the room. "Now girls officially meet my mother, Kassia."

Phil smiled at the girls, "I will leave you girls to it then." And then walked out of the room and back downstairs to the living room.

Kassia had a mischievous grin on her face, "so Lena, have you noticed the tension between Charlie and your father?"

Lena giggled, "Of course Mom, and I am going out of my way to make them happen, 'cause there is something there I can sense it... just gotta wait it out and for Charlie to be comfortable enough around Dad to admit that he likes him..."

"That's my girl."

So with the help of Kassia the four girls finished getting ready for Prom.

Kassia smiled at the four of them as they got ready to leave, "You girls look gorgeous, you're going to turn everybody's heads tonight." the four girls all thanked the older woman for the compliment.

Kassia kissed her daughter on the head before they headed downstairs since they were the last two out of Lena's room, "Are you ready for Italy after the school year ends?"

"Duh, I've only been looking forward to it since you told me we were going."

Kassia laughed, she had a feeling that something good was going to happen during this trip, but just didn't know what it was yet.

They made it downstairs a few minutes later and Phil smiled at his daughter, "You look beautiful sweetheart." He kissed her on the head as well, being mindful and not messing her hair up.

"Thanks, Dad."

Kassia was looking at her daughter and her friends and unnoticeably gasped as she saw golden cords attached to the four of them stretching out into the distance but she couldn't tell where they lead to she made a note to mention this to Lena when she got home that night.

Not wanting to interrupt the girls night.

Isabella came down the stairs a few minutes later in a dress that had talked Edward into talking Alice into letting her wear, since she had no fashion sense and owned no dresses at all. But the brunette silently fumed when she realized that no one was looking at her and all the attention was on the other four girls, making her nearly stomp down the stairs.

Which almost made her fall which would have made Lena laugh had she seen it.

Phil and Kassia made sure to get some pictures of their daughter and her friends before they left Kassia knew Lena would want copies of those. After the four girls left Edward came to pick Isabella up.

Charlie glared at the vampire he still didn't like the bronze haired male. The glare was making the vampire slightly uncomfortable... But he didn't let it show as he smiled at Charlie, "Chief Swan... I will have her back at a respectable time and will look out for her nothing bad will happen to your daughter on my watch."

Charlie kept glaring "hmmm yeah sure I've heard that one before and she ended up in the hospital..." Edward winced at the reminder and the two quickly left after that with Edward letting Bella pull him out of the house and away from her glaring father.

All in all the night was a success and Lena and her friends all had fun dancing with each other, Lena at some point had even roped Alice and Rosalie into dancing with them.

Bella spent the night dancing awkwardly with Edward while glaring at Lena and her friends... 'that should be me who everyone is paying attention to not that stupid whore.'

Edward followed her line of sight and spoke softly "we will figure out a way to get rid of her love and she won't bother you ever again."

Bella smiled at him while internally smirking, she had the Cullen boy exactly where she wanted him and soon he would give her exactly what she wanted which was to be immortal and beautiful forever.

By the end of the night, everything had been perfect and, they all had fun and the girls agreed to have a sleepover at Lena's which she of course ran by Charlie who said it was fine.

They had all gotten changed and ready for bed when Kassia knocked and walked in when she heard her daughter say "Come in."

"Hey babe can we talk for a moment?"

"Sure Mom what's up?" Kassia pulled her into a corner away from the other three girls and put up a privacy spell around the two.

"Sorry, but I wanted to tell you first and then you can tell your friends if you wish but earlier before you left I noticed something about you and your friends, a golden cord was attached to the four of you meaning that you all have a soulmate out there somewhere... I couldn't tell where the cord went to though."

"Woah... Guess that's why I've never really had much interest in relationships... Cool, wonder who they are?"

"I don't know little dove but I'm sure you know soon enough."   

The older blonde lowered the privacy spell and nodded to her daughter, "Go on and tell your friends now... I will stop by before I leave tomorrow." 

"Okay Mom, love you." 

"Love you too little dove." then Kassia left. 

Lena dropped down on her bed looking at the other three girls, "All right so my mother just told me this but according to her, the four of us all have soulmates out there somewhere and my mother is never wrong about things like this. so it's definitely true..." 

Jess smirked "Well I hope they all know each other and like we won't be so far apart, 'cause that would suck." 

Lauren and Angela were quiet for a moment before the blonde smirked as well, "god wow, didn't expect that but cool,  I'm with Jess hopefully they all know each other and we meet them together." 

"what if Lena meets hers while she's in Italy with her mom?" 

Lena shrugged, "Well then I guess I'll meet him or her...  but I probably won't, something tells me it'll be soon but not that soon." so the girls spent the rest of the night just talking and everything until they fell asleep. 

true to her word Kassia stopped by the following morning and said goodbye to Lena and that she would pick her up after school let out for the summer and they would head to the airport and then out to Italy from there. 

Lena nodded and said she would be ready and packed by the time her mother arrived.

Okay so I know I said I wasn't going to post any new chapters until I finished Act 1, but since I am currently working on the last chapter of Act 1 I decided to go ahead and post this chapter for you guys.

Also just so you can kind of look forward to it. I am about to throw one of the biggest plot twists at you guys in the last chapter of act 1. You guys are not going to guess what this plot twist is.

But you can try and guess if you want.

Also I have a few more plot twists in mind but they won't be happening until Act 2 in new moon so yeah. I really can't wait for you guys to see everything I have in mind for this book.
