A Forgotten Dream

"With this blood, an oath you swear;

Allegiance, truth and your life

belong alone to my own cause

A harbinger of death for all wrongs

and to me, all your might"

Persuveus watched with keen eye

as Moses drew the blade across

his open palm and did agree

however forced and solemnly

If he lied his life was lost

"From this time and ever on

I count my past another life

I regret my sin and shame

and take the horror of the blame

as my drive to set things right"

Blood on fire, Moses saw

Burning on an open flame

Reddish smoke his nostrils touched

and inhaled the memory of

worlds that he himself betrayed

"All these bones lay broken, crying

All these pelts of those loved, dying

Here I stand for their plea

I, Persuveus and you with me"

"I hear their souls, I feel their loss

and now Moses, joins their cause.

No longer called as Moses though

Simply known as the one named Mo"

The stars aligned; something shifted

A path unwound above the scene

Life was new where hearts drifted

A man appeared from a forgotten dream
