Grizz and Shelley chapter one
Once upon a time in San Fransisco, Grizz had the cave to himself. His brothers, Panda and Ice Bear were hanging out with their girlfriends, Janessa and Zelda. Grizz was feeling bored so he decided to watch cat videos on his laptop. He was about to click on a cat playing a keyboard when a dating ad popped up. "Stupid Ads!" said Grizz. "That's not what I need right now!" But being a curious bear, he clicked on the ad. After getting all his info, it was time to find his match. There were so many pics of pretty girls. Grizz scrolled down the screen and saw a picture of a girl bear. There was something familiar about the girl in the picture that caught Grizz's eye. Grizz read her status. "Shelley? Oh, my gosh!" cried Grizz and he sent her a message saying:
"Hi, Shelley. You may not remember me but five years ago, you and I dated. You were fifteen years old, and I was twenty years old."
Five minutes later, Grizz gets a video call from Shelley.
"Hi, Grizz!" cried Shelley. "It's so nice to see you!" "It's so nice to see you too, Shelley," said Grizz. "It's been so long since I last saw you. How are you?" "I'm doing good, Grizz," said Shelley. "How are you?" "I'm doing great now that I found you, Shelley," said Grizz. "You have no idea how much I missed you, sweetheart!" "I missed you too, Grizz," said Shelley. "So, tell me, Shelley Bear, what have you been doing after these five years?" "Well, I met a guy named Barry in college," said Shelley. "Barry and I got married after college and a year later, I divorced the jerk!" "What happened?" Grizz asked. "Did he hurt you?" "Emotionally physically, and verbally, Grizz," Shelley said. She started to cry. "I'm sorry to hear that Shelley," said Grizz.
"Listen, sweetheart, I know it's been a long time since we last saw each other but I was wondering if we could meet in person," said Grizz. "I know a great coffee shop called Sam and Ella's not too far from here." "I would love to," said Shelley. "Great!" cried Grizz. "I'll pick you up in five minutes!" "Okay," said Shelley. Closing his laptop, Grizz said, "Wait, I don't know where Shelley lives. And I don't have a car!" Five minutes later, Grizz heard a car horn honking outside. Grizz went out the door, grabbed a bouquet 💐 from the garden, and got in Shelley's 1994 Toyota Camry. With seatbelts on, the bears were on their way to Sam and Ella's coffee shop. "These are for you," said Grizz giving the flowers to Shelley. "Thank you, Grizz," said Shelley. "They're beautiful." "So, how did you know where I live?" asked Grizz. "I have GPS," said Shelley. "So, thinking that you don't have a car and don't know where I live, I'll come and pick you up." "Well, thanks for picking me up, Shelley," said Grizz. As Grizz and Shelley arrived at Sam and Ella's coffee shop, they went inside and were greeted by Ella, the owner. "Hello, there! And welcome to Sam and Ella's coffee shop!" said Ella. "Hi, Ella," said Grizz. "I'm Grizz and this is Shelley." "Nice to meet you both!" said Ella. "Let me show you to your booth." When Ella led the bears to their booth Grizz and Shelley were reading their menus. As the two bears were getting acquainted with each other, a waiter named Sam walked over to their booth and said, "Hi, I'm Sam and I'll be your waiter!" "Hi, Sam!" said Grizz. "I'm Grizz and this is Shelley. We'll be your customers!" "Great!" cried Sam. "May I take your orders?" "We'll have two double mocha lattes and two plain bagels with cream cheese please," said Shelley. "Okay, I'll be back with your orders in twenty minutes," said Sam. As the waiter left, Grizz and Shelley were having a conversation. "What do you do?" asked Grizz. "I'm a psychiatrist," said Shelley. "Awesome!" said Grizz. "Say, is it true that psychiatrists use reverse psychiatry on their patients?" "That's reverse psychology, Grizz," said Shelley laughing. "I like your smile," 😄 said Grizz. "Thanks, Grizz," said Shelley. "I like your sense of humor." "Do you believe in love at first sight, Shelley?" asked Grizz. "Yes, I do, Grizz." And with that, the two bears shared a passionate kiss. 👩❤️💋👨👩❤️👨
Twenty minutes later, Sam the waiter, came out with Grizz and Shelley's orders. "Here you go!" Sam said. "Enjoy!" As Grizz was eating his food, Shelley said, "Grizz, do you remember that night when you sang to me?" "Yeah, I remember that night when your dad poured a bucket of water on me!" Grizz cried. "Grizz, I meant the song that you sang to me," Shelley said. "I thought maybe you could sing it to me." "I don't like singing in public but I'll sing to you when we're at the park," said Grizz. "What's at the park?" Shelley asked sipping her coffee. "You'll see when we get there, Shelley," said Grizz munching on his bagel.
"You have cream cheese on your nose, Grizz," Shelley said giggling while wiping Grizz's nose with her napkin. After paying Ella at the cash register and giving a ten-dollar tip, Grizz and Shelley left the coffee shop and drove to the park.
