"Hey, woman," A voice jolts you awake. You blink up at the green haired man from the day before and punch him in the face. He falls back, holding his nose. "Ow! Shit! What's your problem!?" He snaps, as you sit up.
"Why the hell are you in my house!?" You gasp, grabbing your sword.
"I just wanted to talk! Violent woman!" He growls in annoyance. Man his attitude pissed you off.
"Like I care! Wait outside my house for me to wake you creep!" You snap back.
"Creep!? That's what I did! But you were taking too damn long!" He snarls.
"Then learn some damn patience!" You retort. He opens his mouth to argue but you interrupt him. "If you want to talk go wait in the kitchen so I can get dressed." You order. His eye twitches, and with the click of his tongue he gets up and goes out. You rub your temples. Who the hell was that guy and why the hell was he in your house? You get dressed and head to the kitchen to find him sniffing your empty jug of sake he seemed displeased that it was empty before spotting the new jug of your new sake. He sniffs at it, setting down the empty jug and starting to reach for the new one. "Don't you dare," You growl. He stops and glances back at you.
"You make this?" He asks.
"I do, now what do you want? Who the hell are you anyway?" You question, still annoyed that the strange man had woken you.
"My name is Zoro..." He answers, frowning at the jug of new sake.
"And what do you want? I'm not selling you that sake so stop eyeing it," You tell him.
"Just to talk... Are you saving it for your village guardian?" He inquires. Your lip curls slightly.
"Why the hell would I do that? The beast is useless even if he exists... And I don't feel like talking to you so leave," You reply. He looks at you with a frown.
"No," He grunts. You frown back and take the jug of sake.
"Fine. Stay. I'LL leave," You huff before going out and walking into Law.
"You okay? You look mad," He comments. You glare pointedly at your door just as Zoro storms out.
"Look woman! I came to talk to you and that's what I'm gonna do!" He growls.
"Who the hell are you?" Law growls before you can get a word in. You look at the raven haired man in surprise at his tone. Zoro glances at Law in disdain.
"I don't care if you don't know me," He huffs. Zoro turns his grey eyes to you again. Law lets out a slight growl, touching his nodachi hilt. You pat his hand and he looks at you. You give a slight shake of your head and he calms down.
"I told you I don't want to talk to you," You retort to the green haired man in annoyance. A tick mark appears over his temple.
"Like I care about what you want," He snaps.
"You better care, because I'll do what I want... And right now I want to leave!" You reply before storming off.
"Woman!" Zoro snaps, following after you.
"Go away," You huff, not looking back.
"No," He answers. You throw a glare at him and adjust your satchel, picking up your pace. He keeps up easily. "Just hear me out," He tells you.
"Not listening," You reply bluntly, going through the forest. He clicks his tongue, and grabs your arm roughly, turning you to him. You wince and look back at him in slight alarm. He blinks, see a flash of fear in your eyes. He releases your arm, softening suddenly.
"I'm sorry... Im not going to hurt you," He assures carefully. You swiftly go on the defensive.
"Just leave me alone. Can't you see I don't want anything to do with you?" You growl before continuing through the forest. Zoro pauses, shifting as he watches after you.
"I'm not going to do that, and I already told you I don't care what you want," He says loudly, following after you. His tone had changed considerably, sounding almost softer.
"Do what you want," Yout snort, stopping briefly to give a howl. Smoker appears, coming over briskly, his pelt was all dirty and clumped with mud.
"Shameful, letting himself be called in like a domestic animal," Zoro grunts, earning a glare from the wolf.
"Shut the hell up, at least he comes when someone calls to him," You snap in annoyance. Zoro blinks and frowns, not responding. "Come on Smoker, I'll give you a bath," You muse, starting for the waterfall. Smoker rumbles, perking up at that.
"What!?" Zoro huffs.
"I'm giving him a bath, you got a problem with that?" You question, glancing back to find his cheeks tinge with pink.
"You.... That's...." He trails off, trying to find the right word. "Taboo!" He declares, jabbing a finger at you. You blink in confusion.
"Wha..... You're taboo," You shoot back before turning away and continuing toward the waterfall with Smoker. Zoro stares after you in slight shock before gritting his teeth and swiftly going to your other side.
"I-I'm not! Do you even realize what-" Smoker gives a light growl and Zoro glares at him. "Like hell I am!" He snaps to the wolf. You just ignore him and remove your kimono, your chest was wrapped with a black wrap, you wore a pair of short slacks beneath. You hang your kimono up on a branch and turn to Smoker.
"Come on big guy, lets get you cleaned up," You chuckle, starting for the water. Zoro plops down on a rock, folding his arms unhappily as he watches you lead the wolf into the water, wading in to your knees before requesting the wolf to sit.
"You don't know anything about guardians do you?" He questions as you start to wash the mud and dirt from the wolf's pelt. Smoker just shoots him a glare as you ignore him washing the wolf's limbs and stomach. "Hey! Don't ignore me woman!" He snaps.
"Leave me alone," You sigh washing Smoker's neck and behind his ears. Smoker's ears perk, eyes closing as a slight smile pulls on his wolf lips.
"No! I'm not leaving you alone until you talk to me!" He says stubbornly.
"What a stubborn man..." You mutter, finally turning and going over to the green haired man. You push him back some before sitting on the rock across from him. "What?" You question, folding your arms. He blinks in slight surprise, but relaxes.
"That scar, what happened?" He asks, looking dead at it.
"I was attacked by bandits three months ago," You answer bluntly, not wanting to go into details. His eyes narrow and he bows his head slightly.
"I see..." He murmurs before looking back at you. "And you no longer believe in the village guardian because of that?" He guesses carefully.
"Yes," You answer, "You know, my family was dedicated to making sake for that beast... And you want know what happened to them?" You ask, a fire that you've always kept down was now building up inside you. Zoro meets your hard gaze.
"What?" He inquires.
"They all died by bandits! In the forest that surrounds the village! On the guardian's territory!" You growl rising to your feet as you spoke. "Generations spent making sake for the beast and he never once did as was supposed to!" You step off the rock, trying to calm down. "And at some point I loved that guardian... I can't even remember why..." You murmur, feeling a lump in your throat as he stares at you in shock. "I was a fool to believe in him... I mean look what it got me... No family and this god awful scar that my closest friend despises." You add, starting to shake slightly. Smoker comes up beside you, pressing into you with a slight whine. You relax and stroke his pelt.
"If that's all... I'm going home.... Sorry for being mean," You tell Zoro softly. He doesn't respond, watching you leave with a slightly sad expression.
"Im sorry..." He murmurs.
