The Walk to The Wedding

Terry's heart was racing as he watched his son's wedding unfold before him. He couldn't help but smile, despite the worries nagging at the back of his mind. The beautiful bride glided down the aisle, and Terry couldn't help but feel a surge of pride and love for his son.

But his happiness was short-lived as a drone caught his eye out the window. He fought the urge to look at it, knowing it would only bring more worry. But the persistent buzzing sound and the constant presence of drones in the sky had been weighing heavily on his mind.

Unable to contain his curiosity any longer, Terry leaned over to his companion, Jai, and whispered, "Do we know why these drones keep flying around?"

Jai, a mysterious and enigmatic figure, simply replied, "They are our drones, Harry." Terry bristled at the use of his first name, a reminder of his past he was trying to leave behind.

"Why didn't you tell me about them?" Terry asked, his tone laced with frustration. Jai looked at him with a puzzled expression, wondering why Terry was so surprised.

"I did tell you, Terry. The robot above us controls them," Jai explained calmly. But Terry was shocked. He hadn't even realized there was a robot controlling the drones.

"Take me up there," Terry demanded, standing up and speaking in a hushed yet intense voice. Jai obliged, but before they could leave, he pointed silently at the FaceTime recording on his phone. "This is important too. We can watch the wedding later."

Terry reluctantly followed Jai into the elevator, his mind buzzing with questions and worries. As they ascended, Jai warned him, "Be nice to the robot. He's sensitive." Terry rolled his eyes, not expecting much from a machine.

But when the elevator doors opened, Terry was greeted by a sight that left him speechless. In front of him stood a robot, towering over him with an eerie stillness. Its metallic body gleamed under the bright lights, and Terry couldn't help but feel a sense of unease.

As he looked around the room, he realized that there were more robots, each one controlling a different aspect of the wedding. He felt a surge of mixed emotions - awe, fear, and curiosity.

But above all, he felt a deep sense of regret. Regret for not paying attention to the world around him, for not realizing the complexities and dangers that existed beyond his own bubble. And as he looked into the cold, unfeeling eyes of the robot, he couldn't shake off the feeling that there were still so many things he had to worry about.

"Robot, this is Terry Sapp. Mr. Pennex's son." The young man's voice echoed through the sleek, high-tech room. He stood tall, his stance confident as he gazed at the advanced machinery surrounding him. "I'm here to see your operations."

The robot, a humanoid figure with shining metal parts and glowing red eyes, turned to face Terry. There was a hint of curiosity in its mechanical movements as it regarded the man before it.

Terry's eyes swept over the impressive technology, his mind racing with possibilities. This was his father's legacy, and he was determined to make it even better.

"Robot, you should have a name." Terry's voice was filled with determination. "I'm going to call you Harry Dillman." He smiled, pleased with his choice.

To his surprise, the robot responded with a hug. Terry was taken aback, but then he realized that this was Drako's doing. The young man emerged from behind a large desk, a mischievous glint in his eye.

"Drako, come meet Mr. Pennex's son, Mr. Sapp." The robot's voice was now tinged with excitement.

Drako extended his hand for Terry to shake, and the two men exchanged a firm grip. Terry couldn't help but feel impressed by Drako's presence. He was young, but there was a sense of maturity in his eyes.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Sapp." Drako's voice was smooth and confident.

"The pleasure is mine, Drako." Terry replied, before Jai pulled him away towards the elevator.

As they rode up to the room where Terry was staying, he couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the enormity of his father's project. He knew that he had a responsibility to make this place the best it could be for the survivors.

"I want anything and everything created to make this the best place for these people to survive." Terry's voice was filled with determination. "We need to make them feel safe."

Jai nodded understandingly. "I'll gather a team and we'll get started right away, Terry."

As they exited the elevator, Terry's attention was drawn to his phone screen. He saw Cord and Imogene standing together, their lips locked in a passionate kiss as the pastor pronounced them husband and wife. A tear escaped his eye as he witnessed the power of love in the room.

"I'll get it taken care of, Terry." Jai's voice broke through his thoughts, and Terry nodded, grateful for his friend's support.

As the elevator doors closed, Terry couldn't help but feel a sense of hope. With Drako, Jai and the rest of the team by his side, he knew that he could make his father's dream a reality. And as he watched the love between Cord and Imogene, he knew that anything was possible with the power of love and determination.
