Chris' POV:

I was swimming when I saw a familiar green tail move quickly behind a rock. I swam behind a rock before the mermaid saw me. It was my dad's secretary, Lavender.

Lavender always obeyed Daddy no matter what she thought of his orders. Damselfish.

I clenched my fist and moved it in front of me and swiped it across my face, making me disappear.

Then I swam back to the pier. I had to talk to Rikki, Cleo and Lewis.

Lavender's POV:

I'm in search of Princess Christina of Mako, she goes by Chris. Her father thinks she left and went onto land. I'll use my moon ring to take a look.

Wait...is that a golden orange tail? I'm sure I was seeing things.

Chris' POV:

As I walked into the JuiceNet I saw a new girl at our usual spot, with Cleo, Bella, Lewis and Rikki. I walked up to the table saying, "We need to talk."

"What about," Bella asked.

"I'll tell you once I know who that is," I said as I pointing to a light blonde haired girl with blue eyes, I'd never seen before.

Rikki was the one to respond, "That's Emma."

That's when Emma joined in. "Cleo, Rikki, and I became 'you know whats' together. And have been together since the beginning."

Then she told me everything from when they became mermaids to when she came back here. In the middle of her explanation we walked to Emma's house and went up to her room.

When she was done I asked, "So I'm safe?"

"Yes." When she said that I sighed and finally realized I had held my breath.

"I saw my dad's secretary, Lavender, while I was out swimming. She has a green fin, freckles like me, and brown hair and gray eyes."

"Whose Lavender," Lewis asked.

" She-"

"Did she see you," Cleo interrupted.

"I don't think she did. But keep a look out when you swim. You all have to promise me."

"Promise," everyone chided.

Lewis then started the next discussion. "The full moon is tomorrow."

"What's so bad about the full moon?"

"You guys explain it, I got to go."

"Bye Emma," everyone said as she walked out the door.

Emma's POV:

I walked to the beach to spend some time alone.

When I got there I saw a girl struggling to walk. I ignored it because she was wet and getting wet means a tail pops up. I decided to go for a swim.

So I ran to the beaches' edge, made sure no one was looking, and dived in. I sped towards Mako.

When I got there I swam to the entrance to see five tails. All mermen and only one mermaid. It must be the royal meeting thing I heard about.

I swam in and everyone there gave me a blank stare. "Uh..wrong place. Bye."

Just when I thought I'd get away a man grabbed me and whispered, "Who are you?"

"Emma Gilbert."

"Why are you here?!" The man practically bellowed.

"Alone time," I said truthfully.

"Why?"

"Because this is my girls' and I's private place."

"No it's a royal place."

I gasped.

"What," the man said angrily.

My vision blurred and everything turned into black nothingness.

Poseidon's (Chris' father) POV:

I could sense this girl had gotten hurt on blue coral. I said to my guards, "Get her up here now!"

They put the girl in my arms and we swam to my palace. If I remember correctly she said her name was Emma.

Chris' POV:

"Chris. Can I ask you something?"

"Sure, Rikki."

"Do you have a mother?" My eyes went all teary.

Through my tears I responded, "She died giving birth to me."

Rikki apologized and changed the subject.

I woke up to an alarm buzzing. "Rikki? The Cafe?"

Then Rikki got ready, waved bye, and left. I walked to the pier and dived into the water.
