Winter's POV:

I am so. . . Excited, confused, and scared. Rose showed me hers first. She could freeze water just like her mother Emma Gilbert. And Tristan controlled water like her mom. Would I get the heating powers my mom had?

"Tristen. Rose. I can't."

"Yes you can," Tristen said. But that did not change my feelings.

Rose's POV:

I don't see the problem. All you had to do was make hand motions. But if that's how Winter wanted to be like that. Fine. So I just walked out. I was going to the beach. And I don't think they noticed.

Winter's POV:

I. . . Was doing it! I was heating it! It must be through genetics. Tristen and I celebrated. Soon after we noticed Rose was gone. How long had she been gone and where did she go?

Rose's POV:

I was close to Mako. I would be there soon. Mako Island my place for alone time. And Tristen and Winter probably did not notice I was gone.

Finally I went through the underwater cave and relaxed on one of the moon pool's boulder sized rocks. Aw. . . Alone time.

Tristen's POV:

Where could she be? We had looked in all her usual spots.

"Where is Rose?," Winter said sounding annoyed as much as I was.

"She may.....," then it hit me she had to be at the moon pool where our parents had become mermaids. "Let's check the moon pool I'll show you the way there."

Rose's POV:

Yeah. They didn't notice me leave. And that's the way I liked it. Because I was still here. At the Moon Pool.

Winter's POV:

I am so lost and usually used to the ocean but not here. It's not anywhere I have ever been. Not even with daddy.
