"I Don't Know"

I look outside and see a beautiful sunset,

But then it becomes night and I start to fret.

Who's there? Is that a bear?

I don't know. Maybe a doe?

It looks like I'm gonna have to return home.

I am going now before I get eaten by a crow,

But will the light really save me? Maybe, I don't know....

I don't know,

What all I am going to be,

Maybe though,

It involves someone inside of me.

I don't know who's guilt it is to bear,

But I am starting to feel like I don't even care.

This night is beginning to feel incredibly frightening,

And this rope around me only seems to be tightening.

But this time there's no light at all to be around,

It's just me in the darkness, alone and confound.

As I sit here, pondering my life,

I feel an invisible knife,

Stab my wife.

That I don't even have,

Maybe I just need to cut myself in half.

I don't know,

Sometimes I feel like I can't be helped,

Would someone finally help me if I screamed and I yelped!?
