In times of wander

Winds tugging astray

What do you wonder

Head chugging away

Shoot--off to the races, or to that cloud

Both buzzing borders, static to each

Examine every face the eyes allowed

For fading features, just out of reach

Questions fall as blown raindrops

Ricochet impact a wave

Hatters' call, the bow light pops

Disorganized aim to save

Useless to most it seems

Logic absent today

The trick is in the seams

Knowledge absent decay

Sometimes it's only worth to distract

Pain too wretched to bear

Sometimes to make up what logic lacked

Love in absence of care

I don't question curiosity

Gifted insight it holds

Or dismiss it's stored velocity

Even the worthless molds

Those who matter don't care

Strangers mostly just stare

And who cares don't matter

We pity the latter

Hear their heartless chatter!

Oh the blows do batter!

Crested marine flurry slowed

To a pitter patter

Clinging to rocky sunken road

Brought hither by hatter

Sun illuminates the rugged shore

It's shocking gleam knocks you blind

Unveiling the truth your wonder bore

Treasures one would never find

So to this we would agree
