Winters Waltz

The snow falls like a bitter curtain,

Grey clouds dim the lights.

Audience hushes and quits their stir'n,

In anticipation for the show tonight.

A winter dance, soft and slow.

A majestic swirl that catches the eye,

The wind it is forceful but leads with control,

As it builds to the finale magical sight.

Wind and ice, they dance in creativity

The wind, it is danger, sharp like a knife.

The crystal ice, it's romance done beautifully,

Alone they exist, together their slow dance ignites.

The wind, he lets go with the gentlest touch,

His fragile partner now dances alone,

Excitement dies slowly as always it must.

Decrescendo's with grace

at the end of this solo.

Those who are watching all hold their breath.

All eyes on the crystal, the last one to fall.

In awe of the show, nobody claps.

To honor the one who created this waltz.

The show is now done and the black curtain rises,

And earths overhead light gently brightens the morn.

The wind, he is pleased with the result of his guidance,

And so he departs,

Leaving winters white blanket to keep the stage warm.
