Monday

F/m=Favorite Meal

When Mini left, I went to bed. However I didn't get much sleep; I kept thinking about that mom thing. I never experienced what a mother daughter bond was, and I never imagined one either. I sat up and looked at my dresser with all of the pictures on it. It felt like the sky was mocking me because the moonlight shined on one picture in particular-Mom's picture. That's all I remembered that night; I didn't even remember laying back down and falling asleep.

My alarm went off and I turned it off. I didn't want to get up, but I wasn't tired or sick. However, that didn't matter. I sat up and looked at my closet. I picked up my phone, and checked what the temperature was going to be- 51. I rolled my eyes, put my phone down, and got up. I walked to my closet and looked for anything that matched.

Of course, there wasn't so I quickly put on a pair of jeans and took my shirt off. I went done stairs to look in the dryer for one, but I saw my dad sitting at the kitchen table.

Dad usually doesn't get up this early, so I was surprised to see him. He usually sleeps in a hoodie when it's cold, so it wasn't the first time he's walked around the house with his hood up. From where I was looking, it looked like he had his hands in his pockets and he was reading something.

"Dad?" I said.

He turned around, but it wasn't Dad

Basically looked at me with hatred and confusion until he realized what I was wearing. He suddenly looked away, surprised and embarrassed.

He put his hands up and said, "Woah! Okay!"

I screamed and ran back up the stairs. When I reached my room, I quickly closed the door behind me and put my back to it. I can't believe Basically just saw me in jeans and a bra! My face heated up the more I thought about it. I screamed at the fact that I thought he was my dad, and that I forgot about the whole handcuff situation.

"What's wrong?" My dad screamed.

"She came down in nothing but a bra!" Basically yelled.

"I needed a shirt from the dryer, and I thought he was you!" I shouted

"I'm black!"

"Your hands were in your pockets, your hood was up and your back was towards me!"

"Both of you stop! (Y/n), what shirt do you want?" My dad yelled.

"Slimer playing basketball and my zombie jacket!"

I few minutes later, Dad knocked on my bedroom door. I opened it up just a crack so he could give me my shirt and jacket. I put them on and went down stairs, trying to avoid Basically. However my dad handcuffed us together, so that task just became ten time more difficult.

Basically can drive, so he wanted to take his car. However, he can't drive with three hands and there was no way we were going to be able to get into the car without pushing buttons and ruining the front seats, so Dad had to take us. We got into the backseat and stayed as far away from each other as possible.

When we got to school, I saw Skittles waiting for me. Marcel had to get out so I could. When he did, he literally dragged me out of the car. I said bye to Dad and started walking towards Skittles.

Basically yanked me back, "Where are you going?"

I looked at him and raised an eyebrow, "To Skittles. Why?"

He looked over at her, then back at me, "No."

His face was serious and mean, but his eyes looked worried.

I know what you're thinking: Ask him what she did to them. I wasn't going to though. I was going to wait for Mini to realize the obvious, then he would tell me. Plus, if he wanted to tell me, then he would've by now.

"Come on," I said, "I won't let her be mean to you."

"Oh please." He said, "She doesn't listen to anybody."

I looked at her, then back at him, "If she says or does anything to hurt you, we'll just walk away. Okay?"

It took him a second, but he said, "Okay."

We walked over there and Skittles said, "Marcel on Monday?"

I looked at him, "Marcel?"

"That's my real name."

I made an 'oh' face and turned back to Skittles, "So what's up?"

"Nothing much. Just thinking about what it would feel like to be stuck with an idiot." She said, looked at Basically and laughed.

I walked pass her without saying a word. I had to drag Basically with me at first, but he eventually caught up with me. Skittles was calling for me, but I just kept walking. I heard feet hit the sidewalk and a figure appeared out of the corner of my left eye.

"(N/n)," Skittles said, "what's wrong?"

I stopped and turned to her. She looked confused and a bit offended, and somehow, I didn't care, "That was rude."

She looked at me confused, "So?"

I rolled my eyes, "First of all: I'm going to but stuck with a different guy everyday, the least you could do is be nice to them. Second: Th-"

"Why should I?" She asked, "They're stuck with you; not me."

"Yeah, but I don't need to sit there and be insulted by you every Monday!" Marcel shouted.

Suddenly, Mini and Lui started to jump in. By that, I mean Mini got in between Skittles and me while Lui got in front of Marcel. The rest of them just sat on the side, pissed at Skittles. They started shouting. Then she started shouting, so they started yelling. Then she started yelling, so they started screaming. Then she started screaming.

I would tell you what they said, but I didn't understand a word.

I looked around at everyone who was watching, but my eyes landed on the door to revel an angry Mr. Collins. He stormed over to us, but stopped where the crowd stopped. He looked at me and he had that I'm-waiting face.

Skittles must have noticed him too because she stopped yelling. One by one, every voice died down until there was complete silence. Mr. Collins looked at us and said, "Follow me."

We each walked out of the office with a piece of pink paper that said "Detention" at the top. I put mine in my back pocket and looked at Basically. He was still looking at the paper, but he rolled his eyes, stuffed it into his pocket and looked at his friends. I looked at Skittles and she was looking at me.

"Sorry." She said.

"Why?" I said.

"Because I yell-"

"No." I interrupted her, "Why did you say it?"

She looked at me, then she looked over my shoulder to look at the boys. She stared at them for a while, then looked at me, "Because it's almost impossible to get along with them."

"You're not the one who's stuck with them until farther notice." I whispered. I knew the boys weren't listening, but if I talked loud enough, they would start.

She rolled her eyes, "(N/n), why are you being nice to them?"

I looked at her with the we-need-to-talk-somewhere-else look. She nodded and went into the bathroom. A few seconds later, I looked at Bascially and tugged on the handcuffs.

He turned to me, "Hmm?"

"I need to use the bathroom."

"Okay, umm..." He said looking around for a teacher who has a key, "Let's go get Mr. Collins."

We went back into the office and asked Mr. Collins to unlock the handcuffs so I could use the bathroom. When he did, I went into the bathroom and checked my phone. The bell was going to ring any second, but I did care.

Skittles looked at me, "So why are you suddenly being nice to them?"

I told her my plan. Of course I left out the part about Mini telling me what she did to them.

"Promise me you will not tell a soul about this, no matter what." I said.

"What do you mean 'no matter what'?"

The fact that they know more about you than I do and I'm your best friend...

"If there's another fight like this, I don't want you screaming my whole plan to them."

She had that well-that's-true face and and looked at me in the eyes, "I promise I won't tell anyone about the plan."

I nodded, "Good."

I got my phone out and looked at the time-8:21. The bell rang a while ago, but it was the bell to tell everyone to get inside the school. We didn't have a homeroom; We just stood in the halls as they read off the announcements.

Skittles and I walked out of the bathroom together and Mr. Collins handcuffed me back to Basically in a matter of seconds. We went to his locker first because it was closer. When he opened it, I saw a picture of him and a really pretty girl.

"Who's that?" I asked, pointing at the picture.

He looked at the picture and just stared at it for a while. I looked at it too. He had his arm around her waist and she had hers over his shoulder; Their bodies were close. She had red hair- clearly it was dyed- and little make-up on. It was kind of hard to tell her eye color, but she still looked gorgeous. Basically's skin looked very light- probably because of the flash- but he didn't look different. His brown eyes gleamed with happiness at the camera, and his black, curly hair was freshly cut. He had matching shirts-blue with a heart where the heart was-and black jeans. They both looked really happy.

"Nobody important." He said and took down the picture. He looked at it in his hand, then tossed into his locker, quickly shutting it. He turned to me, "Where's your locker?"

Today was a slow day. We took notes in History, and got homework; We have do a research paper in English; We didn't even have to dress for P.E.

The bell rang for lunch, so we went to our lockers, put our stuff up and headed to the cafeteria. When we got our lunches, I looked at Basically, "Where do you want to sit?"

"It doesn't matter." He said, "We can sit next to Skittles?"

"Nah. She has to eat with the rest of the cheerleaders today."

"Thank g-" He looked at me and started a different sentence, "Oh, okay."

"Do you want to sit with your friends?" I said, scanning over the cafeteria for them.

He shook his head, "We eat out on Mondays."

I nodded and looked around. I spotted a small empty table near the corner. I nudged Basically a bit, "Wanna be loners?"

He laughed a bit and we went over to the table. We sat down, ate and talked. I started talking about this game that made me really mad and Basically explained that he rage quits a lot of games.

"Once I played Super Meat Boy and I threw Simone's laptop across the room." He laughed.

I giggled and looked at him confused, "Who's Simone?"

"Oh, she's my..." His voice faded away. His smile disappeared. He had the face of realization and confusion at the same time. "I don't know what we are now." He finally said.

"I'm sorry," I said, "I didn't mean to make you upset."

"It's fine." He said, "It's just hard to move on."

I felt guilty. I honestly didn't mean to make him upset. For crying out loud, I'm trying to befriend the guy!

"Umm," I said, "let's talk about something else."

He nodded, "Okay." He looked at the small table we were sitting at. His eyes stopped on the bag of candy I brought from home, "Let's play 'Never Have I Ever'."

"Sure."

He grabbed the bag and put three pieces of candy in front of him, and gave me three. We played over and over again. Even when the bag was gone, we still played the game. We just basically got to know each other.

The bell rang, so we cleaned up our mess and went to our lockers.

~

The school called all of our parents so they knew that we were staying after school. We had to go to Mrs. Dawn's room, because the office was getting cleaned.

She made us sit in a circle. Don't ask me why, because after we got it set up, she left the room. We all sat there looking at each other, awkwardly.

"Can you not?" Skittles said looking at me.

"What?" I asked.

She laughed, "What do you mean 'what?'"

I looked at her confused.

"Why do you always have to do that?"

"What?" I said a bit louder.

"You just make that face." She said.

"What's wrong with my face?"

"Nothing's wrong with your face," She said, "it's just that face you make when you're thinking."

I looked at her and raised and eyebrow, "Excuse me."

She looked at Lui, Mini, and Basically, "Haven't you noticed?"

I looked at them and they nodded at the same time. I gave them a no-I-don't face, and they laughed.

"Yeah (N/n), you have a thinking face." Lui said.

I looked at them confused, "What does it look like?"

All three of them made the stupidest face ever. Their friends laughed and Skittles chuckled.

"I do not have a thinking face, and even if I did, it definitely wouldn't look like that." I said, trying to cross my arms, but failed.

"Whatever you say." Skittles said rolling her eyes.

When we got home, Basically and I had to make dinner because Dad make me make dinner on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. We decided to make (F/m), so I was pretty happy.

After we ate, we just sat around and didn't do anything productive. Around 8:00, Basically had to leave, so Dad undid the handcuffs and we said our goodbyes.

I stayed up a bit longer, but I felt pretty tired around 10:00, so I went to my room and sat in bed until I fell asleep.
