After we were done with the laundry, Lui and I headed back to my house. When we got there, Dad said we could watch a movie, so we started watching "The Duff". Lui's mom showed up right after it ended. Dad unlocked the handcuffs and they left. Dad and I watched so more movie together, and at two in the morning we went to IHop. When we got back we watched "Unfriended" and went to bed.

I got up earlier than usual and went down stairs. The lights were still off, so Dad wasn't up. I went to the kitchen to look for something to eat, but found nothing, so I went into the front room and watched TV until Dad got up. He ate his breakfast and we watched SpoungeBob.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK

"I'll get it." I said and got up.

I walked over to the door and opened it. Mini and his mom stood there.

She smiled, "Hi (N/n)."

"Hello." I said, giving a small smile so it wasn't rude.

I, honestly, didn't feel good and seeing Mini giving me a death stare doesn't help much. I feel like something bad is going to happen and he was just going to make it ten time worst.

I didn't notice Dad behind me, "Come in."

I moved out of the way so they both could come in. Mini still wanted to kill me. I don't blame him; He might've had plans, but now he's here. He looked at my dad, then at me. He seemed confused.

My dad and his mom talked for a bit. Then she said, "Well, I better be getting to work."

I didn't notice before, but she was wearing a Wendy's outfit.

My dad nodded, "Okay," He turned to Mini and me, "I'm going to go get the handcuffs. Then I'll tell you how today is going to go."

He went to his bedroom and Mini's mom looked at him, "Be good, baby." She kissed him on the forehead.

"Mom..." Mini whined. I smiled when he looked at me embarrassed.

She laughed a bit then left. I looked at him, "Baby?"

"Shut up!" He said, "Don't act like your mom doesn't baby you!"

My expression went from cocky to sad automatically. A sudden wave of emptiness started to drown me in my chest. I didn't feel like I was breathing. I looked away from him, "I...I don't have a mom..."

"What do you mean." He said, sad.

I looked back at him and he looked concerned, "I never got to know my mom...and I never will."

He looked like he just realized something and said, "S-Sorry."

I shrugged. I guess I never thought of someone babying me, let alone a mother. Mini's mom cares about him. My dad does too, but I just don't have that mother bond. I didn't even think about it earlier, but know it's going to be all I think about.

"Okay," Dad said, coming down the stairs, "I found them." He walked over to us and handcuffed my left hand to his right. "I have to go to work. You two can do whatever you want, but if you leave the house, lock the door."

We nodded and Dad went back to his room the get his shoes. He's a waiter at the dinner uptown, and he has to wear a white shirt and black pants. He quickly came back down and kissed me on the forehead, "I'll be back at two." And with that he left.

Mini wanted to play video games, so I took him to my room so we could play. When we got tired of playing, we just talked. However, every time he talked, I didn't listen. I studied his face, though. He had light brown hair and brown eyes.

"I'm kind of bored." I said.

"Yeah, me too."

"I want to got to the park, but I don't know how kids will react to two teens handcuffed to each other."

He laughed, "Mommy, can me and Bubby wear connected bracelets too?"

I laughed, "We can't go to the shop either; We'll set off the metal detector."

He laughed a bit more, "Let's go to a junkyard. It'll the only place we won't be judged."

I smiled, "You know what."

"What?"

"I know the perfect place to go."

Leaves crunched our feet as we walked the path.

"This is nice." Mini said while looking up at the trees, "What's that?"

I looked up and saw where he was pointing. A pileated woodpecker sat against an evergreen. "That's a woodpecker."

He gasped, "I never seen a woodpecker in person before." I giggled at his adorableness and he pointed at something else, "What's that?"

He pointed at every single thing he saw and asked what is was. It started to get a bit cold, so he tried to put his hands in his pockets, but the chain didn't allow it. I got closer to him and put my hand in my pocket, so he could put his hand in his pocket. I looked at him and he was already looking at me. He smiled and we kept walking.

The weather just got colder and colder, so we headed back home. Dad was there, cooking supper. We all sat and ate until around 8:00. Mini and I sat in my room and just talked.

"Can I ask you something?" He asked

"Sure."

"Why did you stand up for Skittles when you didn't even know her?"

I sat there for a second, "Well..." I said, but didn't know what else to say, "I guess it just didn't feel right."

"What do you mean?"

"I...I don't know. I just feel like no one should be treated that way, so I saw you guys picking on her, I just became defensive."

He looked confused, "But you didn't even know her."

I looked at him, "Yeah, so?"

He looked away like he was trying to think of something, "Let's say I was getting bullied, but you didn't know anything about me, would you stick up for me too?"

I looked at him like he was insane, "Of course! It's not like I choose to stand for certain people, Mini! It's wrong, no matter who's causing it or who's getting it."

He looked at me with a questionable face and said, "But you did it to Vanoss."

I never really thought of it that way. He was right; I bullied Vanoss. There has to be a exception to it somehow. I mean, I didn't for fun like he did, and definitely didn't do it because I wanted to. I just didn't like the fact that he hurt me over and over and over again, just for his own amusement.

"That's different." I finally said.

"How?"

"Because I knew Vanoss, and he didn't care if he hit me. He didn't care about my feelings and I'm 100% sure he didn't care about your guy's."

Mini looked at me with hatred and stood up, "Excuse me?"

"What? He ratted you guys out!" I yelled and stood up, "He's the reason we're stuck together!"

Suddenly, his expression changed. He went from pissed to surprised. He whispered, "What?"

I looked at him confused, "What?"

"What did you just say?"

"Vanoss is the reason we're stuck together?"

His eyes drifted to the floor. He stayed like that for a while then looked at me, "What did Vanoss say to Mr. Collins?"

Then I had am idea. However, it would only work if I played my cards right. If I somehow befriend the boys, I can get them to turn on Vanoss. I didn't know how to reply to Mini, though.

"Just forget about it." I said and sat down.

"(Y/n)," He said, "what did he say?"

I looked at him and he looked concerned, "I doesn't matter anymore."

"(Y/n), what did he say?" He screamed.

"Am I really that bad?" I asked standing back up, "Do you guys think I'm a walking dumpster? Why is spending a day with me bad? What did I do to you?"

He just stared at me, "You didn't do anything. It's what Skittles did."

I didn't know how to respond to that, "What did she do?"

"Just forget about it."

"Mini, what did she do?"

He stared at me for a while, but finally said, "It doesn't matter anymore."

I was debating weather or not I should tell him. Finally I said, "I'll tell you what he said later. Right now just isn't the time."

He sat down and thought of that, "When will it be time?"

I sat down next to him, "When you found out why you guys are stuck with me, even though Vanoss was the one that punched me."

He sat there for a while, then looked at me, "There's nothing wrong with you. It's just-I don't know...Skittles hurt us and when we seen you stick up for her, we just got mad. What she did to us is unforgiving."

"What did she do?" I asked, knowing he wasn't going to tell me.

"When I find out what Vanoss said to Mr. Collins, I'll tell you what Skittles." He said, but then he looked at me sad, "I don't want to ruin your friendship."

I nodded, but I didn't understand. Skittles is so sweet, what could she possible do to hurt them?

"Lets change the subject." He said.

I nodded and we basically played 20 questions. Mini's mom came and he had to leave. So far, my plan was working out, but I still need to friend Basically, Moo, Nogla, Delirious, and Wildcat.
