Thursday
I felt something moving on my bed, so I opened eyes, just to meet another pair.
I screamed, but they covered my mouth and said through their teeth, "You better say you're fine."
It was a familiar male voice, but I couldn't figure out who it was. He rolled off the bed, then rolled under the bed. I was about to say something, but Dad ran into my room, breathing heavily.
"What's the problem." He huffed out while turning on the light.
I glanced at the floor, but looked back at him, "N-Nothing."
He rose an eyebrow.
"Just...a bad dream." I finished.
He stood up straight and held his sides, "Don't do that again."
He continued to breath heavy as he left. The moment he turned off the light and closed the door, I looked under the bed to see who it was, but they weren't there.
"What the..." I began to say, but my words faded.
Someone grabbed the back of my shirt and pulled me back. He turned me around right before I hit him, so our chests hit each other. He put his hand back on my mouth and made me bend back on the bed.
He hovered over me, "I don't know what you're trying to do, but I hope you understand, I'm not the bad guy."
At that moment, I realized I was talking to Vanoss.
I moved his hand, "I'm not trying to do anything," I whispered, "and what are you doing in my house?"
"I'm trying not to kill you right now." He said.
I rolled my eyes and sighed, "What about not being the bad guy?"
He rolled his eyes, "Don't play dumb; You're trying to turn my friends against me."
How'd he find out?
"What?" I said instead, "Why would I do that?"
He looked at me with the really look.
"Look, Vanoss," I said, "I'm not planning anything. I am, however, trying to befriend them so I could get out of the cuffs sooner."
"Yeah, sure, whatever." He said and got off me, "I'm leaving."
"How'd you even get in here?" I asked.
"The front door." He said sarcastically, "I came through the window you idiot."
"How'd you even know I lived here?"
"I live right across the street."
He quickly left and closed the window behind him. The moment he was out of my sight, I ran to the window, and locked it.
He lives across the street form me.
Vanoss lives across the street form me.
EVAN FONG LIVES ACROSS THE STREET FROM ME!
I continued to scream in my head as I lazily walked back to bed.
The moment my face hit the pillow, I fell asleep. However, I woke up way before my alarm went off. I really didn't think anything of it because I really had to pee.
I got up and headed to the bathroom. The moment I pulled down my underwear, I knew I was on my period. I grabbed and pad/tampon and finished my business.
I knew I wouldn't be able to go back to bed, so I got dressed and ate breakfast.
~
Dad answered the door and invited Delirious in.
He wore black skinny jeans, and a sky blue hoodie with the hood up. I couldn't really describe him because I really couldn't see him. I could only see him from the top of his nose to his chin.
Dad handcuffed us together and went back to his room to finish getting ready.
"I didn't know you lived across from Vanoss." He said.
Yeah, me neither.
I shrugged, "I guess it never really came up."
"You think he would've said something about it by now."
You think I would've noticed by now.
"Why," I said, "do you guys talk about me a lot?"
"Vanoss sure does." He answered.
"What?" I asked.
"Yeah," He continued, "he talks about you all the time."
I only said that as a joke. I really didn't even think they liked me, let alone talked about me. I kind of want to know what he says, but at the same time, I don't want to seem selfish.
I rolled my eyes and laughed a bit, "Probably just making fun of me."
"Actually, they're not insults." He said.
"What?"
"When it's just me and him, he won't shut up about how you're better at him at everything."
"That's probably why he doesn't like me." I awkwardly laughed.
Delirious shrugged, "I was thinking more along the that he likes you."
WHAT?
I laughed and looked away so he wouldn't see me blush, and/or my eyes go wide, "Yeah right! It's Vanoss; He hates me!"
He nodded, "Yeah that's true too." He grabbed my hand and I looked at him, "I don't hate you though."
My blush got even worst. Somethings wrong here.
I squinted my eyes at him, "Are you messing with me?"
He giggled as a small blush crossed his nose, "No."
"Okay," Dad said, "let's head to the car."
We headed to the car and got in awkwardly. I looked at Delirious's reflection in the window, He was smiling like he just won something.
I looked at Dad, "Can you turn on the radio, please?"
He nodded and pressed the button. I wanted to listen to music to ruin or even forget the moment, but all the radio played was love songs!
I glanced at Delirious's reflections and I swear, his smile grew wider.
~
I got small details of his face during the day. Like his pale skin; He's pink lips; And his bright blue eyes.
School was the same, except for Delirious flirting with me.
We sat by ourselves at lunch and he acted like we were on a date!
However, I would be lying if I said I didn't enjoy it. He was being so sweet and nice, it was impossible to hate any moment with him.
When we got home, we went up to my bedroom and he continued to flirt with me.
"On a scale of 1-10, you're a nine and I'm the one you need."
I giggled, "That one was way too cheesy."
"That's because it was the best one."
I laughed.
Someone honked outside, "Oh, that's my ride."
Dad walked in and unlocked the cuffs.
"Bye." I said as they both left the room.
"Bye." He replied in a flirty tone.
I walked to the window to see him pull away, but my attention went to Vanoss's house instead.
I had no idea he lived across from me. How did I not know he lived across from me!
Actually, Evan is in a lot of sports, so I wouldn't be surprised if he works out. He could be studying too; He's really smart. He's very popular too, so he could also be at a friend's house.
My eyes widened, and I ran to the bathroom.
I looked into the mirror and just as I expected: My face was as red as a tomato.
"Yeah sure he plays a lot of sports, but so does Brock." I whispered to myself.
Brock is like that really cute, shy jock. He's unbelievable sweet and he's adorable when he blushes.
I looked at the mirror again: The blush got worst.
"Okay," I whispered again, "Lui's blush is kind of cute too."
Who am I kidding, Lui was cute, period. He's such a flirt, it's amazing.
Looked again: Smiling like an idiot.
"Um," I tried to think, "Delirious is a flirt too."
Delirious was so mysterious, though. It was mesmerizing. The way he talked about him and Evan's friendship made me think about how loyal he was.
Looked at the mirror again: Stupid daydream look.
"Okay...um...Craig's gonna keep his promise: That makes him loyal too."
Craig was honest to himself and others. He was super funny too.
Checked the mirror again: Happily-Ever-After look.
"Marcel was funny too." I whisper shouted.
Marcel made me laugh even when I didn't want to. He's super creative.
Mirror check: Swaying a bit.
"David's very creative as well." I said.
David was so talented, it was kind of intimidating, but he was also a goof, so it all levels out.
Checked one last time: I was a blushing red mess with a big goofy grin.
I put my head in my hands, "Oh my gosh."
I didn't know what to do, honestly. I wouldn't be able to tell anyone, let alone ask anyone for advice.
Maybe it was just because I was on my period. I mean, I didn't feel like this before. Then again, I never really thought of it before.
I went back upstairs and decided to play video games until I got tired. I didn't know what else to do.
I feel asleep in my gaming chair around ten, but I got up around one in the morning to go to my bed.
My alarm went off and I reminded myself that it was Friday.
Great, I'm stuck with Wildcat today.
