Wednesday

Dad had to go to work early today, so I had to go to Nogla's house.

It was freezing, so I wore my Deadpool hoodie and black skinny jeans.

Dad pulled up to the house and we walked to the door. He knocked on the dark brown door and waited. A few seconds later, a woman with dark, brown hair opened the door.

I recognized her from the fruit punch incident. Her and Nogla didn't look that much alike, but you can tell she was his mom.

She smiled and moved out of the way, "Come on in."

She had a heavy Irish accent. You could tell Nogla was Irish, but his accent didn't sound like his mom's.

"Um," Dad began as I walked in.

I looked around the large kitchen. I messed with the handcuffs in my pocket while I studied the pictures on the fridge. Most were pictures of Nogla, another boy, and a girl. They all kind of looked the same, but they each had small differences. I looked at the other half of the kitchen and it looked like she was in the middle of making breakfast; Bacon and eggs.

I looked back at Nogla's mom right before she shut the door.

She looked at me and motioned to take a seat, "Did you eat anything before you left?"

I didn't want to be rude and bombard their breakfast, so I sat down and said, "Yeah."

She nodded, "Your dad said you had the handcuffs?"

I nodded and pulled them out of my pocket to show her. She made an 'oh' face and went back to her cooking. She started to talk about how Nogla's grounded because of what they did to me. The more she talked, the more I realized it was difficult to understand her.

She started talking about Daithi/David and his brother and sister. Their all triplets but they don't act alike. Emma and Andrew were the others names. Emma was at a friends house because of a school project, so she won't be here.

I started to lose focus on the conversation and looked down at the handcuffs. I thought about Lui's hand in the left cuff. Then I thought about Craig's. Then Marcel's. Then Brock's. I let out quiet, but heavy sigh. I hate theses cuffs and I've only been wearing them for four days; All they do is create trouble. I'm suspicious of my best friend because of them; I got a detention because of them; I found out my birth mom was a liar because of them.

I looked at the clock, it was 7:45. School starts at eight. I looked at her and she was still talking.

"Um..." I said awkwardly.

"Yes?" She asked as she turned around.

"Sorry to interrupt you, but school starts at eight, and it's 7:45." I said, "Where's Nogla?"

She suddenly looked worried and started to make the plates. "David! Andrew! Wake up!" She started screaming without warning.

I heard a lot of noise from upstairs. She set down two plates and ran upstairs. After a bit more yelling and people running, Nogla and his mom ran down stairs. She motioned for me to stand up and give her the handcuffs. I did so and she handcuffed us together.

Nogla sat down and starting eating. I was forced to sit next to him while he ate like a pig. Someone else ran down the stairs and their eyes stopped on me.

He raised an eyebrow, "Hello?"

He had a heavy accent too. His hair was a light brown and he was a bit shorter than Nogla.

I awkwardly waved. I've seen him around school, but he's not in any of my classes.

"Andrew, this is (Y/N). (Y/N), this is David's brother, Andrew." His mom introduced me.

"Wait, you're (N/N)?" He asked and got a little closer as I nodded, "David, I thought you said she was ugly."

The room fell silent. Nogla stopped eating, their mom stopped what she was doing, and my eyes slowly drifted down to my lap, then back up at Nogla. I honestly didn't feel any emotion; I wasn't upset, but I wasn't happy either. I sat there and studied him as he tried to come up with an answer.

He had brown eyes, but in certain lighting, they look kind of green. He had bushy eyebrows that matched his fluffy black hair. He had a small stubble on his chin and above his lip.

"Um," He finally said, "you're thinking of Skittles."

"Excuse me?" His mom said.

"What, I never called her ugly!" He shouted, trying to defend himself.

"First of all, I know you're lying, and second of all, Gia is a very pretty young lady!" She shouted back, "Say you're sorry."

They started arguing about say sorry to me. I rolled my eyes and my phone went off. Pulled it out of my pocket and checked the message from Skittles.

'Hey, where u at'

I looked at the clock on my phone, 7:51. I looked at all them, just to see all three of them fighting now.

I shook my head and texted back: 'At noglas house'

"Fine!" Nogla yelled and turned to me, "I'm sorry." I was about to say something, but he wasn't finished, "I'm sorry you were born that way!"

Him and his mother started fighting again, so I looked at Andrew. He looked at me, and I pointed to the clock. He looked at the clock and freaked out.

"Mom!" He yelled, "We've got to go!"

She stopped yelled at Nogla, looked at the clock, and grabbed her keys.

"Everyone in the car!" She shouted and we all headed to the car.

Nogla and I got in the back and Andrew got in the front. The drive was silent and it was very unsettling. The only noises were the other cars and the heater.

When we got to school, we were a few minutes late, so we ran at the doors and Mrs. Preson let us in. Andrew ran to the right and we ran to the left. Nogla and I were really close to my homeroom, but he stopped and I almost fell back.

I looked at him, "What's wrong?"

"I never called you ugly, honestly. I only said that because I was angry. Sorry." He said.

"Nogla, you don't have to apologize." I said, "I didn't take it personally, but I'll take being late for first period personally."

He laughed and we kept going.

Morning classes were awful, but I'd be lying if I said Nogla didn't try and make it better. We had a history test, an English test, and a fitness test. Nogla tried to joke around during the history test, but that just earned him a detention. He kept knocking on his desk so Mrs. Dawn would get to the door and he could look off other people's papers. He got a detention for that too. He made a stupid noise and ran like a retard in P.E., but all he got was a bad grade.

We got our lunches and looked for somewhere to sit.

"Where do you want to sit?" I asked.

He shrugged and looked at his table, "I don't know."

"David! (N/n)!" Someone shouted.

We both turned and saw Jack waving his arms like a mad man. He motioned for us to go sit with him. I looked at Nogla, but he was already heading over to him.

When we sat down, Jack explained that Mark, Bob, and Wade were sick, so he was lonely. Nogla and him talked most of the time, I just awkwardly sat there like a third wheel.

After lunch we headed to Spanish.

~

All of Nogla's detentions were tomorrow because I wouldn't be with him.

Dad picked us up and we went to my house. We got our homework done and went to my room. We sat on the beanbags and he looked around. He noticed the dresser with all the pictures.

"Hey, one of your pictures fell over." He said, pointing at mom's picture.

"Yeah, I know." I said.

He looked back at it, but lost interest. He looked at the guitar my cousin left.

"You play guitar?"

I shrugged, "It's my cousin's, but he taught me how to play a few songs."

"Can I play it?" He asked.

I nodded and he grabbed it. He tuned it a bit, then started playing Cry Me a River by Justin Timberlake.

He was way better than me and my cousin. I smiled as he kept singing.

He messed up and cursed to himself. "Sorry." He said to me.

"That was really good!" I shouted.

"Thanks, but I'm not that good." He said.

We started playfully arguing about how good he was, but then we had to go make dinner.

~

After dinner, David left and I texted Skittles.

I went to my room and started playing video games with my phone nearby. After a few hours, I got really tired and headed to bed. She never texted me back though.

I fell asleep automatically, but I woke up screaming.
