You had put your baby to sleep while you waited for your husband to arrive. He had been more busy than usual with the Grindelwald's followers creating chaos across both magical and muggle world.

You sighed pacing around the room, as you waited for your husband to arrive. He had been hours late, and not a single owl had been delivered. You were very close of asking Newt for help.

He is going to fine. He is coming home. He is coming home to us. You kept repeating to yourself.

However, it just made you even more sick. You silently prayed that he will come back. You knew how proud he was of his position as Head of Auror for the British Ministry of Magic. But that didn't stop your worries.

The door opening made you stop on your tracks. You walked to the main entrance seeing your husband's hair dishevel and small droplets of blood on his white shirt. However, you relaxed when he finally looked up. "I didn't wake up, did I?" Theseus Scamander said to you.

All you could do was wrap your arms tightly around him. He quickly reply, holding close to him as you didn't utter a single word. You just held on to him, reminding yourself that he was back. He didn't said anything but he could feel you broken breath as you tried to not cry in front of him.

Theseus signed, moving his head so that he could rest it against yours, murmuring how much he loved you. But no matter how much you held on it, you broke down crying, holding your husband closer to you. He put a hand over your head, holding your closer as he kissed it over and over.

It must have been more than a couple of minutes when you finally calmed down. It was then that you turned to look at his face, seeing the small scratch on the top of his head. "I love you."

"I love you." You whispered back, moving so that you could help him off his coat. "You didn't wake me. I was already awake." You said, putting the coat away while your husband walked to his bedroom.

You sat on the bed, feeling the adrenaline falling once more. You were already getting to rest, when you saw that your husband didn't change into his night clothe. Instead he just stood in front of the crib, looking down at his daughter who was fast sleep. He brushed her head softly, looking down at it with so much fondness.

Then he slowly leant over the crib and picked up the baby. He kissed it goodnight and just watched it sleep. All you could do is smile, seeing your husband looked at his baby daughter as if they had been part for centuries, how much he had missed her deeply.

But it was then you noticed how a few tears, slip through his eyes. Then he pulled the baby closer to him, resting her head on his chest. Theseus turned to look at you, with your eyes half closed. "I am always worrying." He whispered to you. "You are my world." He quietly added, caressing his baby. "I love you." He added to you before pressing a kiss to the baby who smiled on their sleep. "And I love you..." He whispered with a smile.

You sent him a sad smile, letting him appreciate the time with his daughter. Then he laid in bed next to you with the baby in his chest who slept soundly. Then you moved closer to him, resting your head on his shoulder as you watched the baby snore. "She knew you were being later than usual. I guessed she sensed when you weren't here." You whispered to him.

Theseus then wrapped his free arm over you, smiling at the two most important people in the world. "I am sorry I worried you." Theseus said to you.

"You are here now." You reassured him.

"Yeah, I am home." Theseus said, kissing your head. As you fell sleep, knowing that your husband was home, he stayed awake. He just wanted to freeze the moment, and hoped that Grindelwald's ruling will end soon. Theseus did stayed awake later than he used to, making sure every protective charm was placed. The baby was a perfect excuse for him to stay awake later as well, taking care of her while you slept.

He never mentioned it to you, but you knew he was worried. Just like he knew what his job meant, how it bought its benefits but downsides too. One of them was being away from home for too long. Or the target that his job had. Theseus didn't want to worry you more than you already did.

The following morning you woke feeling a bit more rested. However, you stopped when you turned to see Theseus still in his suit with your daughter on his chest. You quietly, but a blanket over them, smiling at the sight. You felt like the luckiest person in the world, and indeed were.

It wasn't until much later that you could movement from the room. You picked inside, watching your baby babbling and snuggling to her father. You sighed, about to reach for her, but as soon as you lifted her a bit Theseus woke up. He tighten the hold on the baby, and sighed when he saw you laughing.

"It's fine..." Theseus said with one eye half closed while the other looked at you.

"I didn't mean to wake you." You said giggled, looking down at him. You were going to hold the baby again but he shook his head with eyes half closed. "You sure you don't want me to take her?" You asked softly.

"Nah..we are good. I will look while you...what are you doing?" Theseus asked, realizing he hadn't checked the time. The baby rose and giggled seeing her dad awake.

"How about breakfast?" You asked him, brushing the hair off his face. He smiled brightly at you while he moved the baby to lay in the bed next to him.

"Sounds good. We will be there in a second." Theseus said to you. You kissed him before walking away from a scene. But not before stealing a glance at Theseus who was cuddling his baby. You laughed quietly, knowing that they wouldn't be done for a while. He tended to lose track of time in moments like this.
