Okay so this book was really really really good (as are all Cassandra Clare books) and it's a companion to The Mortal Instruments series (MY FAVOURITE SERIES) and the character development is so heart-warming and it's soooo well written and there's an entire chapter dedicated to malec so obviously it's great and no one dies

UNTIL THE LAST FIVE PAGES WHICH IS WHERE MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER DIED AND AHAHAHAG

anyway the story is told from the pov of Simon Lewis (I recommend reading tmi and tid before this book) As he goes through the shadowhunter academy on the journey to ascend and become an actual shadowhunter and cure his demon amnesia so he can get his memories back. it's soooo freaking good and I love it to pieces I highly recommend
