Third Person's POV:
Third Person POV:
"--Jeon Jungkook, will have to resign and stop playing Cricket from now onwards. Our reporters are still looking into this matter. For further news please stay tuned." Taehyung felt his world crushing down with every word he heard. This couldn't be true. This doesn't make sense.
Does Jungkook know about this? Is this even real or some kind of a sick joke? A prank?
He didn't remember the doctors talking about his surgery being this serious, he clearly remembers the doctors assuring every one that it was fine. Didn't they?... Now that he thinks about it, the doctors didn't really say something so assuring either.
This was so fucked up. Did Jungkook know about this? Did the others know?
The young photographer was perfectly aware of what the sport meant to Jungkook. Without the sport itself, Jungkook won't be Jungkook. It might be dramatic and childish to some but Taehyung, Jimin, hell everyone around Jungkook knew about his craze for the said sport.
At the moment, he was back at his apartment after spending some quality time with the others yesterday, which went rather too well for his liking. He doesn't want to get used to it. One must want to know the reason why so here it is.
Taehyung is afraid this all might be temporary and the others are only doing this because they are pitying him and would stop once the feeling subsides. The problem however is, he doesn't want it to end. He wants their friendship to last for an eternity and as cheesy as it may sound, Taehyung hopes that sincerely.
His train of thoughts break when he heard his phone ring. Checking the caller ID, he attended the call.
"Hey Jimin--" Although he wanted Jimin to ask about the whole Jung looks-can't-play matter, he decided to act normal. He doesn't know why though, but deep down, really deep down, a voice within him screams that it's because he doesn't think he deserves to ask even that.
The thought itself is stupid but Taehyung can't seem to filter out the voice in his head.
"Taehyung! Listen to me! I need you to go to Jungkook's. Something happened and he's not picking my calls. I'm not in Seoul at the moment and I really need you to check upon him--" Jimin started rambling not even greeting the other a simple 'hi'.
Looks like the news had already spread. The situation is worse than he thought it would be.
"Just please. Go and check on him." Jimin finished with a plead. His voice broken and tired. Taehyung could practically hear the concern and worry in his voice.
"Is it about the news going around? That Jungkook can't continue playing?" Taehyung decided to ask hastily as he put his phone on speaker and started getting ready to visit the said athlete, he had no time to dress up properly but going out in public practically naked wasn't something he wished to do, so he started getting rid of his robes that he had put on after a quick shower in the morning.
"How did you know?"
"It's all over the internet Jimin!" Taehyung reminded the other as he started throwing on some random t-shirts and pants, on whatever he could get his hands on among the pile of clothes in his closet.
Quickly throwing the shirt over his head and stepping into his pants, he marched towards the hook where his jackets and outer wears were hanging. He searched for a padded coat. It was freezing outside and he couldn't afford catching a cold when he had other matters to look after.
"Right! So as you already know--I don't have to play dumb anymore. Look Taehyung, I didn't tell him because it was a big fucking deal. It's his whole life. And now he would be fucking furious if he found out from anyone else. And seeing he isn't picking up my calls, I think he already has found out."
"What about the others? Have you told them?" Taehyung couldn't believe that Jimin already knew about it but he decided to ask instead, now was not the right time to interrogate Jimin when he was just as worried or even more than he was.
He was almost ready, he was just proceeding to wear his shoes with his phone back in his hands.
"No, they don't know. Even if they did--I think it would be the best for you to go and confront him." Jimin spoke up in a thoughtful manner. He had clearly given it a serious thought.
"I don't know Jimin. He hates me. I would go but I'm afraid it won't do anything good." Taehyung sat still, he was fully ready, now that the adrenaline and the initial rush of blood had passed, his mind started thinking rationally.
Was it really a good idea for him to go? Should he really risk going to Jungkook when he clearly would be stressed?
Jungkook hates him. He would rather jump off a cliff than talk to him willingly. Even the previous meetings they had in the hospital and at his apartment, Taehyung could tell that Jungkook was holding back his emotions. What emotions specifically? He doesn't know that but constantly avoiding eye contact and zoning out from time to time wasn't something old Jungkook would do.
Old Jungkook. Taehyung scoffed internally at his choice of words.
"Trust me Taehyung. He is a ticking bomb and we don't want something to happen to him. He will do something stupid if he is left alone. You have to go right now. You hear me?"With one final sigh, he agreed, knowing the delicacy of the situation.
Taehyung hung up and opened his apartment door to get to Jungkook.
He decided to call for a Taxi, not having enough time to pull out his own car. He was not even in his right state of his mind so driving himself might be dangerous.
The whole ride to Jungkook's apartment was painfully long, his mind wouldn't stop playing the worst-case scenarios. He tried so hard not to think something that would only increase his anxiety but his mind wasn't in sync with his heart. You could say that he had expected the impossible. Literally.
"Jungkook?" Taehyung called out as he opened the apartment door with the key he found lying under the mat. Jimin had already told him about the spare key so entering the apartment was not the hardest part on his side.
The living room was silent and he didn't hear even a single sound that could tell him where Jungkook was. Everything was placed neatly, without any trace of disarrangement.
Jungkook had always been the clean type. He would throw a fit if something was out of place back when they lived together. Taehyung smiled sadly at the thought. He doesn't know why he's reminded of those days right now but he guess it might have something to do with their current situation.
With slow, steady steps, he opened each and every door carefully and looked around the room.
Taehyung didn't know where his bedroom was and Jungkook's extraordinary large apartment wasn't helping either in the least.
At last he opened the door at the far end corner, right ventral to the gym.
"Jungkook?" Taehyung whispered as he peeped into the room. Unlike the other rooms, which were fully lit, illuminating each and every corner.
On the contrary, this room was pitch black. Even the curtains were shut close which prevented any sunlight from entering the room.
He saw a big lump in the middle of the king-sized bed even in the dark. The only light allowing him to see was the slit of door, which he was currently standing against.
Feeling around the wall, he searched for the switch board and pressed some random buttons when he finally got a hold of the said board.
What he saw next horrified him to the core. He couldn't believe his eyes. A loud gasp resonated the silent room, he could hear his own echo with how silent everything was.
A/N:
I know it's short and messy but I'm trying my best.
