Chapter IV: Dreams And Reality
《A/n: Caught up on the upcoming updates and the new killer/survivor... I can't say I'm not excited to have the Clown and Kate pop up in one of the upcoming chapters :^) 》
You let out breathless giggles quietly, hiding behind the corner with a hand pressed to your mouth. The other one occupied by a-
"Boo!"
You jumped, gasping while your blonde friend began laughing. You pouted your lips, "Mikey." You spelt out in sign language. The boy grinned down at you and picked you up under your arms. "Down." You pointed down, trying not to break into a laugh.
He hummed, complying and grabbing the lollipop from your hand that you had stolen from him. His eyes looked to you for a moment before it flicked back to the lollipop, as though he was considering.
The blonde sighed, before passing to you.
Your eyes lit up and took the lollipop from his hands, looking to him with a grin. "Thanks." You mouthed, to which he played it off with the roll of his eyes. Though you caught the smile on his face.
"You're welcome, lollipop." He teased, making you blush in embarrassment. You turned away, pulling the plastic off the lollipop and put it into your mouth.

You jolted awake, looking around for a moment. It's just a dream, you thought, slightly annoyed your mind decided to give you a flashback of the past.
You tossed your blanket aside, getting out of bed with heavy shoulders.
Your eyes glanced at the old photo of you and Michael, then looked away a second later. Dwelling on the past right now wasn't on your checklist, you could save that for another time.
You had to finish a commission for a buyer, the painting was almost done and you didn't want to wait last minute. As you had learned the hard way from annoyed looks and irritated words.
You walked downstairs, turning directions to the kitchen. Keith hasn't woken up yet, so you grabbed a bowl, spoon, and cereal.
You hopped down on the couch, reaching and grabbing the remote before turning the television on.
Your eyes gazed at the screen as you flicked through channels. Boring, boring... not scary, boring... why is she doing that? ... Your mind ran as though flipped through each channel. You stopped at the so well known Scream 3 movie. Despite not thinking horror movies were scary, you liked the plot twists this franchise held.
You ate your cereal while you watched the movie.
Keith walked downstairs half an hour later, and you were nearing the end of the movie.
"What's up?" He said, jumping down on the couch next to you.
You pointed to the t.v and he let out an, "ooh." You nod and placed your- now empty- cereal bowl down on the coffee table. You'd wash it after the movie is done. "Always forgot you had a knack for these movies."
You nodded again, watching intently. "I like it."
He hummed in agreement, watching the rest of the movie with you.

You sighed, mentally exhausted yet proud that you finished the artwork. You placed your brush down after rinsing away the paint on its bristles.
You washed your hands at the sink in the next room, before going over to your room. Upon entering you turned to the desk, grabbing your laptop and entering your password.
You emailed the buyer, making sure everything was in order to send the painting to them.
You moved to your bed after that, seeing as you slept late the night before it wasn't a surprise to you that you were tired.
You fell asleep to the soft sounds of music from your laptop, right before you fell asleep- you swore you had seen a black cloud appear above you.
•▪°○°▪•
You jolted up, eyes looking around wearily. Your hands brushed against leaves and dirt.
Where were you?
As you slowly stood up, you realized your difference in clothing. A dark (f/c) hoodie, thick and cosy one at that. Your pants were more on the athletic side when it came to fabrics used, black with white strips at the ends, and it came down right under your knees.
You started to panic soon after, had you been taken? No... that'd be unlikely, you had fallen asleep.
Was this a dream?
Questions flooded your mind, the air murky, heavy, and you felt a shiver run down your spine. Breathe, you need to-
"Hello? Someone there?"
You froze, the voice was female, soft yet loud enough to reach you.
Your head whipped around, your eyes meeting dark brown ones. Her expression turned startled, as she realized you were there. "Oh my... how did you get here?"
She rushed towards you, and your eyes followed her movements as she examined you, for what you did not know.
"Are you all right?" You nodded slowly, opening your mouth but shut it just as fast.
You motioned to your throat, before shaking your head. "I can't speak." You wanted to tell her, but you can't use words.
She seemed to understand quickly though, "you can't speak?"
You nod furiously, relief filled you as you didn't have to worry about explaining without words. The woman swallowed visibly, and you waited for her to say something.
"Do you know how you got here?"
You shook your head, then put your hands together and pressed the back of one to your cheek.
"You were asleep?"
A nod from you.
Her brows knit together in confusion, and she looked up to the sky. Clouds were dark, the night darker, but you could still see.
Was this woman apart of your imagination? You surely had never seen her before, and you were leaning towards the possibility you were in a dream.
She sighed, "would you follow me? I have other friends I want to introduce you to..." She trailed off, and you perked up. Grabbing a stick off the ground you wrote your name in the dirt.
The woman read it, fixing her blue glasses. "(Y/n), nice to meet you. I'm Claudette." She held a hand out.
You shook her hand, you'd never been a big lucid dreamer. Though you have lucid dreamt before, so it may be you really are in a dream.
You nod to her with a friendly smile, gesturing for her to go on. Whoever she is, whatever your imagination did to make her appearance here, she seemed really nice.
She leads you through trees and bushes, and it was hard to pinpoint where exactly you were headed.
"Hey, guys?"
Claudette pushed through the bushes first, and you peered towards the opening. Several heads turned to look at you, their past conversation died as they took in your presence.
Not one of these people were familiar to you and it left you highly confused.
"Another one of us?" A man with thick black glasses asked through the silence.
"No way, the damn thing brought another person here?" A woman, beanie on her head said afterwards.
You stood there frozen as their voices erupted. Your (e/c) eyes darted to each of them.
"Guys quiet!" Claudette exclaimed, and their voices lowered quickly. "This is (Y/n), she doesn't know how she got here, but at least be welcoming." She said, giving each of them a firm look. You mentally thanked her for it.
"Dunno how you got to this place? It was the Entity, sick creature." The woman with the beanie said bitterly, glancing away afterwards.
Slowly followed Claudette to the fire, sitting down on an empty spot upon a log next to her.
"Where am I?" You mouthed to Claudette as she looked over to you.
"The Entity's realm..." Her eyes saddened, "a prison when you're here long enough."
"We were taken here from the real world." A male, scarf around his neck and green sweater added.
Your stomach sank, this wasn't real, was it?
Your eyes widened, a gasp leaving your lips when black mist surrounded you, ensnaring you within.
Right before you were completely enveloped by it, you swore you saw a white mask within the treeline.
Mikey?
•▪°●°▪•
Each survivor froze as they watched the woman be consumed by the Entity's mist.
"What's going on?" Quintin sputtered.
"Not clue in hell!" Bill exclaims as the mist dissolved, leaving no trace of the (h/c) haired woman behind. As if she wasn't even there.
"Where did she..." Claudette gaped at the empty spot, reaching a hand out where she had just seen (Y/n).
"She can leave?!" Nea shot up from her seat, a shocked look on her face like everyone else. Meg noticed the accusing tone in her words.
"Let's not go to conclusions, Ne-ers." Meg frowned, "we have no clue what happened."
She huffed, taking a breath before sitting back down. "Yeah okay." Her eyes looked down and a shadow casts over her face.
"No one can say what had just happened, Meg," Laurie said quietly.
"It's damn freakin' sorcery." Feng Min groaned, slumping back. "Contacted the gods above or something." She said, in hopes to lighten the mood slightly from the shock.
It worked, only slightly, but it cracked a few smiles. Feng Min, however, was satisfied with that.
From only a few meters away, the Shape stared at the scene. He too had witnessed the Entity's actions.
He couldn't help but catch the desperate, surprised look in the woman's eyes.
She seemed so familiar, yet it was hard to remember. As he hadn't felt something to familiarity like that before.
Then again it was hard for him to feel anything considered in that category or positive in a while.
•▪°○°▪•
You jolted up, falling off your bed and landing on the ground with a loud thud.
Sweat began to pool at your neck, and you had to calm yourself to avoid any panic attacks.
It had felt so real.
But in the end you had woken up, it was just a dream. You breathed a sigh of relief, but what you last saw was frozen in your mind.
You never reunited after his escape from the asylum. Though you heard of the reports, the news, the rumours. You've seen the photos of him.
So your mind decided to put him in a dream?
You guessed so...
You sat up, rubbing the side you had fallen on.
Maybe I should catch up with old news... You thought slowly, making your bed. You shut down your laptop that was left in asleep mode. Checking the time you realized it was six o'clock.
I slept for a while, you thought before leaving your bedroom.
The rest of the evening, you ate dinner with Keith. Went back to your room, and began your research on the old Michael Myers cases.
You weren't left disappointed with what you had found. Though you would've wanted for more information.
You also found out his younger sister Laurie Strode had gone missing.
For a moment you stared at the photo of her set up on the website, then it came to you.
She was one of the people who were at the campfire.
Your eyes widened, and you tilted your head. She was the blonde in those blue clothes...
You hadn't even known what Cynthia Myers looked like in the present time. So how did she get into your dream too?
You leaned back in your seat, the amount of confusion and information you had taken in was too much for one day. However, you were barely tired to go back to sleep.
YouTube? You asked yourself, then nodded without hesitation, YouTube it is.
