Chapter XXIII: "Two" Leads To Drastic Measures
《A/n: Haha, the title is sort of important I guess. Also thank you all for 10k reads, I luv you all》
Michael paused as children's voices closed in on him and you. Before he saw the grass shake, and he felt tiredness wash over him.
As he snapped his eyes open in the dream world, his gaze was laid down upon the Nightmare. The shorter killer looked up to him, then to his (Y/n).
"Hey there, I don't believe we've spoken before." The burnt man looked to his claws with mild interest. "I'd like to give you a warning, for her and your child."
Michael stares, eyes narrowed in warning. The Nightmare responds quickly to the look, he let out a low unsettling chuckle, "I won't touch her... or your child, probably won't be able to meet them - shame - though you've already made your point for us not to touch whatever is yours." He rolled his eyes. "Though you can never be sure how safe they are when she's still being sent into games, right?"
Michael tilt's his head, was he saying this to throw him off? They have never spoken before, and the Shape wasn't sure whether Freddy was told to tell Michael he had to make an official decision or not.
His chest tightened, he... he wasn't sure if you were as safe as you assured him you were. Although he hid his uncertainty, he nods.
"Well, then you should probably think what's best for them..." the shorter man gestures to the woman at his side.
"Anyway I'm done here, sweet dreams." A wave was sent by the clawed hand before Michael was awoken.

You shivered, hugging the coat closer to you as you sat at the café table. Eyes half-lidded looked around, you weren't sleeping as long as before and you've been much more fatigued as of late.
"(Y/n)!" Your head shot up, looking to Leah. She walked around the counter, giving you a smile. "You alright, love?"
You nod slowly, eyes downcast to your hands. Signing to her as she places down a cup of coffee per your request (which she also said was on the house), "just cold."
Leah hums, "our heater is broken, sorry for that. I'm sure I have a spare woolen scarf if you'd like to use it?" She paused before holding a hand up, "no wait - I'm going to go find it and you're going to wear it!"
And she speeds off behind the counter, other patrons sending curious glances your way.
She returns a few minutes later with a light blue wool scarf folded in her hand. "Here ya go, love!" The scarf was dropped on your head with a bubbly laugh from her.
"Thank you," your shoulders shake with silent laughter, you wrapped the scarf around your neck. Smelled just like the whole bakery does, baked goods and pastries.
"No problemo, relax for a while." She smiles to you. And while you wanted to do just that, you really needed to discuss the fact you're pregnant with your other teammates in the other realm.
Laurie, Feng, and Bill kept their word on being quiet until you brought it up. Which was good, though you'd need to muster up some courage to actually say it when there's more than two others when you're given the chance.
Your coffee sat on your stomach (with your hands holding the drink), which seemed to feel heavier each week. You had to slow down with your commissions as your schedule was no longer the well maintained one you always kept up. Instead you weren't sure when you'll sleep or wake up, at times kept up planning for more strategies which you'd eventually share. Or the stress and emotion of when you finally have a baby.
You were a little past 20 weeks, and with the new year that started, you promised yourself a few things. Not only to help the others on their escape, but to also make sure you give this child all the love you can.
You grew more confident on your plan to break that realm, to free and save them. Because you (more than anything) want Michael to be able to be in this realm for the birth.
He deserves it so much, you thought, he made up for past mistakes for present actions. He deserves it. You knew more than anyone he wants to be there too.
You didn't want to, but you've been bugged enough by Keith and Leah to go get an ultrasound. To make sure everything is going okay, and you definitely knew they just wanted to know the child's gender.
You also really wished Michael could be with you then too. But it was impossible unless, the Entity was kind enough to grace that gift. You could already guess that wouldn't happen.
You drank the coffee quietly, listening to the quiet chatter around you and the music coming from the radio. Caffeine usually didn't affect you far too much, though you'd rather take it than Leah usual cup of (quite amazing) tea.
But in the meantime, you'll do your best to relax in the few moments you're given.

"I am not throwing away my shot! I am not throwing away my shot! Hey yo I'm just like my country, I'm young, scrappy and hungry and I'm not throwing away my shot!"
You rolled your eyes at Keith, who continues to sing to the song he put on. Much to your (half-hearted) irritation, he had insisted on driving you to the doctor's office to get your ultrasound done.
"Are you excited?" Keith asks you, glancing your way as you reach a red light.
You shrug, a hand raised horizontally that wavers left to right, uncertain. Sure you were - obviously - but you weren't sure if you wanted to know the gender of the baby.
It took a long several minutes until you arrived at your destination. Keith ("being the gentleman he is," as he says) helps you out of the car and takes the lead when you get closer to the waiting room.
Some confirmation at the front desk and half an hour later, you were called in.
"Good afternoon." The sonographer smiles at you, "I'll have you change into this, then when you're ready I'll come and get you." She nods in acknowledgment to Keith before handing you a robe.
She guides you to a changing cubicle before excusing herself to what you guessed was the room you were going to.
"Water?" You ask Keith, who hands you the bottle from his hand. "Thank you."
"Go on, I'll be waiting outside the curtain if you need anything."
You nod and enter the small room, pulling the thick curtain close then removed your shirt and jacket. With the robe on, you tied the string in a simple knot and peeked your head out.
"Ready?" Keith asks, and you nod.
A grin present on his face, he goes to get the sonographer. Who brings you in the room, you pass her tech set up and brought up onto the office bed. She turns off the light and walks to the screen by your side.
You shift the robe and lay your head back on the pillow while Keith sits by the door with an assuring grin. You smile back to your brother, grateful for his support.
"Alright, just relax while I rub this on your stomach." She holds up a bottle of blue gel, she gives you a small smile. "Just a warning, it might be a bit cold."
You shivered when her gel covered hand touched your stomach, shutting your eyes and ignoring the cold.
"2nd trimester?" She asks, and you nod your head slowly. She hums, finishing with the cool gel and takes hold of what you would just call a scanner. The smooth end was placed on your stomach, gliding across your belly for a few moments.
It's a few moments until she speaks, "everything is looking good as far as I can see. Would you like to know the genders?"
"Genders?" You sign with surprise and shock, and Keith picks up on the cue to repeat what you signed.
She laughs, "yes, you seems you have twins." She smiles at you.
Oh shit. You think automatically, double the work? Yes, twice the excitement? Probably.
"Holy crap I'm gonna be an uncle of two!" Keith holds up two fingers. There's the excitement... your thought trails.
You nod to her for the previous question. She looked back to the screen, scan moving for a while before she squints at the screen. "A male and female."
"Oh that's great..." your signed subconsciously.
The sonographer takes a few more photo's and checks one more time, pointing out who was who before you were able to get up.
To be fair, you were still happy. Twice as nervous, but happy.
"Wait till Michael hears about it." Were Keith's words when you got into the car, you quote that exactly.
You weren't really sure if he'd be more happy or more nervous, maybe both. You were certain he wasn't going to walk away this time. (You'd be sure to give a deserving punishment if he even tries.)
Other than that, you were overjoyed. Conflicting so, but still overjoyed.
•▪°○°▪•
You didn't get to see Michael until a night after that day. You were thrown into a slow paced game, with which the other three of your teammates (Dwight, Claudette, and David) found out about the upcoming reveal early.
A slightly nervous congrat from Dwight, an odd look from David (who just proceeded to shrug it off), and a lecture by Claudette on not using protection. Which should you say, was very embarrassing.
You weren't sure if facing Bubba was better either.
He noticed right after finding your hiding spot, when you turned to him, he noticed your stomach.
When he actually hesitated to attack, you gestured to your stomach, motioned to holding a baby in your arms, and he instantly understood.
Then came the blabbering of incoherent words of apology, for each time he had to put you on a hook.
You knew he felt bad, so you forgave every rushed apology that came from his mouth. Then he left you alone, for the rest of the match.
While you didn't like being singled out in anyway, you knew Bubba cared too much to actually hurt you now he was aware of your babies.
So you, Dwight, and Claudette managed to escape. David dying due to the fact he took hits for Dwight and Claudette.
You admire his sacrifice.
The next night was when you were able to meet with Michael, finding him waiting for you as (surprisingly) all the others were in their own trials.
You were picked up, and brought back to the killer's half of the forest. Passing the Huntress and the Pig who looked go be bickering, though you weren't sure if the Pig knew Russian.
The hare masked killer looked your direction, and as observant as Bubba was, noticed the lump on your belly.
A gasp left her lips, pitch black eyes behind the mask lighting up in mere milliseconds. She pointed to you, still being carried by the blank faced Michael, and practically ran to your side.
Her eyes reflected both envy and longing, looking to you almost hesitantly before trying to place a hand on your stomach.
Michael took a step back in caution, eyeing the Huntress with questioning. You placed a hand on his arm, before smiling to the tall woman.
Then she fucking beams at you, you could only guess she's wanted a child of her own.
The pig huffs, head tilting to the side but doesn't say anything from under her mask.
The Huntress places a hand where your baby bump is, losing herself in her own thoughts.
They're certainly more than just blood thirsty killers... You think with some sympathy.
Michael watches, letting you decide when to take your leave. Seemingly understanding the fact the Huntress was longing for a child as well.
"Maybe she can babysit?" You ask in a joking manner, recieving an eyeroll from him. Not as amused as you hoped, but still funny.
Your anxiousness melts away for the time, letting the woman bask in he thoughts before placing a hand on her own. Bring her attention to you.
You send her an apologetic look and gesture that you and Michael had to leave. Her smile wavers, looking away and stepping back. Her eyes meet yours one more time before walking back to the fire, traces of the lingering smile still present on her face.
Michael fixes you in his arms, walking away to the trail to the copy of Haddonfield.
When you reach Lampkin Lane, you were brought into the Strode house.
Michael doesn't question the permission you gave the axe wielding killer, just say down next to you to bury his mask into the crook of your neck.
You tap his shoulder, pushing yourself to say it now. "I have news," you stare to sign when he looked up. "I'll be having twins, a girl and boy..." you trail off, looking away as your hands fall back onto your lap.
Then you were being nuzzled again, arms wrapped around your smaller form possessivly, tightly. You were more happy and nervous than surprised by the actions.
He wouldn't hurt you again, he knows better than that.
So you smile wide, your nose breathing out breathless chuckles. Returning the affection, affection just for you.
Soon enough you were sure he'd share it with two others.
•▪°○°▪•
Michael watched as you disappeared, the cloud of black smoke disappearing with you.
In the next moment, he too was gone from the living room of the Strode house. Brought into the Entity's darkness.
"You've made a decision then?" The voice echoes. Michael nods silently, not bothering to look anywhere but ahead. "Very well, though I must say, perhaps it would've been better had you told her of your decision too."
A pause, and the Entity's voice continues,"She'll be back the next rest she falls to."

《A/n: Bonjour! Glad I got this out in time. My school will start in a week and I'm definitely nervous yet excited. Hopefully I can get another chapter published before then too as well.
Ciao~¡》
