Chapter XXIX: Blinded Before Birthed

《A/n: Slight scene of birth (nothing to descriptive.) Babie names are credited to: AutumnCat9 for the female name, and Minerrockss for the male name. The spinner choose names that both start with an 'E', coincidence? I think not!》

Everything felt as though it were spinning.

Your hearing muffled, distorted as you tried to make sense of the senseless words being spoken around you.

There was a lingering pain in your eyes. Aren't they open? Y...Your eyes were open, why can't you see anything?

"Mi...ch-ael." You choked out, trying to grasp at the thin sheets under where you laid.

Where are you? You're...

In a hospital.

"(Y/n)...? Oh God (Y/n)? Can you hear me?"

Keith? You try to calm your initial panic, though it was painstakingly difficult. You nod, breathing uneven your hand instinctively moved to your stomach.

"(Y/n) we're in the hospital... oh God... okay, I need you to breath, your going into labor." You hear him swear under his breath. "Is she okay?!" You assume he asks a doctor or nurse who was also wheeling the bed you laid on to another place.

"I can't tell you with certainty."

You let out a pained noise, shutting your eyes, concious enough to realize you indeed cannot see anything with them open.

You felt dizzy, still filled with confusion and panic while at the same time, trying to calm down.

The bed stopped, hearing the sounds of shuffling and clicking while you knew people must be rushing around you.

You feel someone grab your hand tightly, realizing it's Keith's when he spoke. "Y-you... okay- fuck." You force a smile, still trying to calm him even with your own turmoil. "We're gonna get you through this okay?"

You nod slowly, your eyes shutting tightly.

"I need you to push okay? We can go for a natural birth but if something happens we'll do a c-section." You hear the woman speak, guessing she was the doctor you nod.

Your hand was brought to Keith's forehead, hearing him mutter under his breath; "Gods, I'm so glad your alive... I'm so glad you're out..." It was repeated again and again. You lower lip trembles, trying to wrap around everything while in the middle of giving birth.

Oh to hell with it right now. You mentally cursed out, a pained cry leaving you when pushed on the doctors command.

You didn't know how much time had passed.

You were left exhausted, falling in and out from slumber. You mind in a daze while you heard the sound of your children crying.

You were out. Free, and alive.

You were given the two children to breastfeed immediately, after a brief check up on their condition. A blanket laid over you three to keep warm.

Keith was sitting by you, silent. Though you felt the heavy aura he carried. Then he spoke up;

"Y-you... oh geez. Are you okay?" He spoke in a way as though he didn't know what to say. Just as confused and lost. He began to whisper, so you listened, "you just... appeared in bed a night ago. You looked like you were sleeping. I panicked when I saw you were... crying blood? I called an ambulance, and while you were being driven to the hospital I guess you went into labor...?"

"Open your eyes for me?" He asks slowly.

You steady your breathing, focusing on calming your heart and emotions before physically opening your eyes.

Nothing.

"Your eyes are so dull." He states quietly, "what happen to you?"

The Entity, you think, realization sinking in. "M-y... voi..ce." You sound out, your stomach sinking with dread.

"It did that to you?" He asks in a hushed whisper, not wanting the doctors to hear.

"Y-yes." Your hand reaches to your eyes, shutting them again with the will not to cry. "Mi-chael...?"

Before Keith could reply, the nurse came back.

"Is everything doing okay?"

You nod, of course you nod. Only a hint of content rests in you, the other filled with worry and concern. But the way both children quieted down from their crying in your arms helped sooth your mind for the while.

"I'll go get him." You tilt your head in Keith's direction, so he repeats it, wording it differently. "I'll go get Michael. He deserves to see them."

You give your younger brother a smile, and the nurse asks you a moment after.

"Do you have your names for them?" She asks with a tone that says she wears a small smile on her face.

You nod, moving a hand so you can at least sign the letters. The both of you had discussed names, as though it weren't too long ago.

You both agreed on what Michael had suggested, maybe that makes it more special. You didn't really know.

"E l e n a for the girl and E l i e r for the boy." Keith repeats what you signed.

"Very well, we'll have you stay here for a day or two. We will need to do a quick check in on the two infants and their mother." She informs you.

You nod tiredly, the exhaustion quick to catch up with you.

"We'll monitor your babies if you need to sleep." She tells you, while you hear the sounds of pen running across the surface of paper.

"Th-ank you." You croak out, voice still hoarse.

Keith released her hands with a breath. Standing up and leaning to mutter; "I'll be back soon, rest up. I've missed you."

She nods, and he steps back and takes his leave after washing his hands.

Michael Myers.

There were only a few places where he'd be. The first would be in Haddonfield, obviously.

The young man reached for his phone, dialing Jessica. The cold afternoon air pricked at his skin.

"Hey, can you pick me up? (Y/n) is... back. I didn't drive to the hospital because I rode in the ambulance with her. She gave birth to the twins though," Keith gave a tired breath after. He sat down on the bench near the bus stop and waited for Jess to pick him up. Then a few minutes pass.

A gasp left his lips when a hand tapped on his shoulder. Turning, and seeing a woman with her hair tucked away, the hood she wore on her head shadowed her blue steeled eyes. She walked up to him without barely making a single noise.

"Hey, is your name Keith?" She glanced around, with some sort of paranoia.

"Yes... who are you?"

She breaths a sigh of relief. Pulling off her hoodie and pulling her braided ginger hair from her hoodie. She fixed her orange locks, before turning to him and holding a hand out.

"Meg Thomas, a friend of your older sister's." She gives him a small grin.

Keith pauses, confused. "I've... when?"

Meg gestures for him to move aside, and he scoots over on the bench. She sits back, hands resting behind her head as she crosses her legs. "When she kept having those "dreams" of hers."

"You were there- wait, you're that Meg?"

She smiles a little wider yet her eyes seemed distant to a degree, "she told you about me? I'm honored." She waves her hand dismissively, "she was trapped into the Entity's realm eventually. Not sure if you pieced that together."

"How'd you know about where we are?" Keith asks, the answer still foggy.

"The news, obviously. A lot of us were returned to this world after the realm fell apart. That was... what, a five days ago?" She shakes her head and pulls her jacket close to her. "It was all over the news, maybe you didn't see it." She looks down to her shoes. Leaning over and putting her face in her hands. "Jesus... five years now."

"Five...? You mean-"

Blue eyes met Keith's (e/c), his shoulders slumping. "Yeah..." Meg trails off, looking to her running shoes. "A lot of things happened, I... I was hoping I could ask your sister for something."

Keith looks away, ahead to the street and replies; "my sister just gave birth, she's probably resting right now. Do you have a place to stay?" He asks, in a way he knows won't probe for information.

Meg glances at him, "no, like I said, a lot of things happen. Especially when I was gone for so long." She sits up, "when did (Y/n) get back?"

Keith looks to the approaching car, "a night ago." He says, watching as people pass by, going on with their lives. "are you going to see her now?" He asks in monotone.

"Yeah, can I ask which room?"

Keith complies, before the car pulls up infront of them. "That's my girlfriend picking me up. I need to do a few things before I come back."

"Yeah, that's fine. We can talk later on." She gives him a small smile, thanking him and they both stand up. One going to the car, and the other heading towards the entrance of the hospital.

Keith gets into the passenger seat. "Hey." Jess peeks outside his window. "Who was that?"

"A friend of my sister's." He replies, a hint of solemn in his tone. "She wanted to visit her."

A small 'oh' left Jess's lips, "where to?" She asks, moments later. Keith noticed the change of mood, leaning to press a kiss to her temple before replying.

"Home first, then I need to buy some clothes. We're going on a hunt."

With that, Jess gives him a questioning look before turning the car into drive and she began to drive back to Keith and (Y/n)'s shared home.

Keith leaned against the door, watching as the scenery passes by in a flash.

December.

It was barely a week ago when he wished for his sister to be returned. Maybe hope for some sort of Christmas miracle.

This was more than any Christmas miracle.

"Keith." Jess calls to him, he hums with attention, turning his head to look at her. "What exactly are we hunting for?"

Keith turns his head back to the window, seeing the reflection of his girlfriend as he states; "Michael Myers."

Meg walks down the pale painted walls, towards her room. Her fists clenching and unclenching with anxiety that bit at her core. Her eyes tried to focus ahead, but her mind was everywhere.

She stopped after reading the numbers next to one of the doors. "That's it..." She whispers, walking to the door and peeking in.

There she was. Only now, face in a peaceful slumber. The babies she was once carrying the last time Meg saw her, were now in her arms. Both sleeping like she was.

"Hello, are you one of (Y/n)'s family?" The nurse asks, noticing Meg's presence.

The athlete smile, "no, just a close friend of hers." Meg replies, "is it alright if I sit down and wait for her to wake up?"

"Of course, but we ask that you wash your hands and try to be quiet around them." The nurse says, so Meg walks to the cushioned seat infront if the window. Her footsteps trained not to make a sound.

There was a small beep, and then the nurse spoke up. "If anything seems to be wrong while they're asleep then I'll need you to press this, alright?" The nurse tells Meg, who nods in understanding. The nurse excuses herself from the room. Probably needing to check on another patient.

Meg looked to the children, she already saw the resemblance that they shared with (Y/n) and what she knew was Michael. One had thin blonde hair, the other taking from your (h/c) locks.

"Cute." Meg whispers with a soft look, looking to a nearby shelf to the small pile of magazines set up. She got up to retrieve one, looking through them briefly.

The ginger glanced to the sleeping woman when a cough left her. Something of deja vu flashed through her eyes, remembering of her mother for a fleeting duration.

Meg walked closer when (Y/n)'s eyes opened, seeing their dull look. Even when she was in view, (Y/n) didn't look to her.

"(Y/n)?"

The (h/c) haired woman's eyes widened, looking to Meg's general direction and mouthed her name.

"Yeah, it's me. In the flesh." Meg looks down, "you're kids are both cuties. You didn't come back to this realm 'round the same time the lot of us did. Turns out I lived closer to where you do than we thought, huh?" The other woman nodded slowly.

Meg places a hand over (Y/n)'s own, "you can't see. What happened?"

When she pointed up to the best of her ability, Meg understood what she meant. "Okay, well we have some catching up to do. But you should sleep first, okay?"

There was a flash of content when (Y/n) nodded, then it was gone again.

Meg wasn't sure if she was completely content either.

But the babies are still cute.
