All she can feel is pain.

All she has done is suffer.

One year has gone by in Hell.

But in the Enchanted Forest it's only been a day.

And Scarlett has not aged one.

" I swear... if you release that damn dog on me again...", Scarlett pants.

" You'll... what? Kill me?", Hades says with a chuckle.

" The thought has crossed my mind", She remarks.

With a snap of his fingers, her restraints tighten.

" Stop.Doing.That", Scarlett says through grit teeth.

" You know, I could... but I really don't want to", He says, bending down to look her in the eyes.

Her green orbs become black pools, and Hades just chuckles.

" I'll be back once you're done with your temper tantrum", He says, then disappears from the room.

With that, Scarlett becomes two. She creates an illusion of herself still in the restraints, and changes her hair color to blonde. She transports herself out of her cell, and to the streets of hell.

" Took you long enough", A voice says, only making her smile.

" He wouldn't leave".

" At least I have you now".

The boy leans in and kisses Scarlett, his hand in her now blonde hair.

" Did you find it?".

" I did. Tonight when the sun goes down".

" And... we'll be free?".

" Yes, Marcelo... we'll be free".

Over the past year, since Scarlett figured out how to fool Hades, Marcelo and Scarlett have fallen in love. They first met at the stables when she thought she could flee by horse-back, but he debunked her idea. Ever since, they've been planning their escape.

Little do they know, Hades has been watching the entire time. He's seen every move they've made. And he knows their plan with fail... at least... for the most part.

Later that day when the sun is going down, Scarlett and Marcelo run hand-in-hand to the lake... but before they could take one step into the boat, they're both transported to the cave underneath the library...where a fire pit awaits them both.

" Did you really think it was going to be that easy to escape?", Hades asks.

" Actually, yeah, I did", Scarlett says.

" And that's the child in you. So... naive. You think you know everything, you think you're so smart, when really you're just a dumb little girl".

Scarlett creates a fireball in her hands and hurdles it towards Hades, knocking him back and holding him against the wall.

" How's that for a little girl?", She asks, then turns back to Marcelo, " Run".

As he is Hades, the restraints did not last for long. He prepares an attack against Marcelo, but Scarlett pushes him aside.

Her magic going dark, her power against Hades black as night. He holds her back with his own blue magic. He'll die before he admits it, but he's weak compared to her.

" You know you can't beat me", Scarlett smirks, pushing him back towards the fiery pit.

" And that's... where you're wrong".

Hades uses his magic to throw Marcelo into the pit of fire, and transports himself to the other side of the cave. Scarlett runs towards the edge and tries to save him... but she's too late.

" Marcelo!", She cries, watching as the flames engulf him.

Scarlett screams out, her powers letting lose once more as she shakes the cave, nearly throwing Hades off her balance.

" Now... where were we?", Hades asks as he walks up to the girl.

She feels... nothing. Her body is numbed. She watched as the man she loved was sent to a fate worse than death. She stands up, and turns around to look at Hades.

She takes a step closer to him, then speaks in a tone that almost made the Lord of the Underworld visibly shudder.

" Go to hell".

Scarlett escaped the Underworld two months after the death of Marcelo, still only a day had passed back home in the Enchanted Forest.

From that day forward, she would only use light magic. She was only able to control her light magic. Her dark powers were too... unpredictable. And three years later, she met the man who would later be her husband-- Captain Killian Jones.

She lost a lot from her time in the Underworld, but also gained a lot. Scarlett was able to find a page of a storybook. She brought it with her, and she's kept it ever since.

She never noticed the importance until the modern day, when she's in the Underworld for the second time.

The storybook page shows a drawing of Hades. The page ripped in half, but it shows him holding hands with a woman. A woman... with green fingers.
