Welcome to help me hold onto you, my first-ever impulse fic! I've been having a bit of a Spider-Man phase lately, and I have a lot of thoughts about how superpowers can intersect with themes of disability and grief and general feelings of helplessness in the face of the world's suffering, so this fic is kinda my answer to a lot of the questions that have been weighing on me as of late. I never really make aesthetic story intros, but since this fic is so impulsive, I wanted to help everyone, myself included, orient to the story world. The face claim for Cass Williams isn't Liv Hewson because she's related to Carter in this story, so I wanted her to look more like Benjamin Wadsworth. And this is your warning that I will be taking many creative liberties with various Marvel plots over the course of this story, so kindly disregard anything you know about the plotlines of any major Marvel projects involving characters such as Harry Osborn, Kate Bishop, Matt Murdock, and Wilson Fisk, because this is my sandbox and I will do as I please (though I will be true to the characters and their traits even if I have my way with their plots).
