Hestia remembers vividly how she got into this situation. It was a regular day, she was going to work, it was her first day. She was fresh out of college and ready to begin her life but she wouldn't get to because something unexpected happened.

She noticed that people were disappearing and she was close to the last. When Hestia gained her bearings again she was in a white room with nothing in it. A blue screen was floating in front of her.

What do you desire the most?

I want a companion for life. Never have I ever had someone to be with and a companion would be a blessing.

Your world is being integrated into the system and your answer to that question will help decide your class. You will now choose a weapon from the ones in front of you.

In front of Hestia there was a bow, sword, polearm, and wand. She had never used any of these weapons before and thought that the bow and polearm might be harder to use since in anime they are usually harder to learn. So it was either a sword or wand. It would be easier to choose if she knew what class she would be getting. In the end she chose the wand because who wouldn't want to know magic.

Since you have chosen the path of magic you get to choose a spell to learn based on what the system feels you could learn. Your choices are: Fireball, Ice Sword, and Buff.

I'm going to learn magic! But what one should I choose? Fireball is super basic, Ice Sword seems cool but I don't want to use a sword, and Buff seems boring. But I guess Buff could have multiple uses, unlike Fireball...

"I choose Buff as my spell."

The system has heard you and will give a brief explanation of the spell and how to perform it. Buff is a spell that gives others a buff of your choice. Since it has no set effect you must imagine the effect you want to put onto the person then cast Buff by either thinking of the name or saying it out loud. Saying the name out loud is easier but makes the effects half of what you would usually get. Thinking it is harder. Now cast the spell 3 times whatever way you want to.

Hestia tried to think about what she would want to buff herself with and came up with more speed. But that didn't seem specific enough for her, she wanted the best buff she could come up with. So she thought about how much speed she wanted and where the speed would apply. Ending up with 10x her normal speed and only in her feet and legs. Once she had it all thought out she tried to think of the spell but nothing happened. So she decided to try saying it first.

"Buff!" After she said it out loud a tingly feeling happened and she closed her eyes and tried to figure out how it felt to cast the spell. It started with a tingly feeling in her heart then expanded out in a wave like a blast wave and expelled out of her hands. She felt the buff as soon as it went off but it didn't last long, just a couple seconds. She realized that she forgot to think how long she wanted it to last.

Her second attempt was more successful since she said she wanted it to last 5 minutes and felt a bigger blast wave of tingles. It seemed the tingles were her mana leaving her body. For her last attempt Hestia tried to think of the feeling that she had while casting it and had success with thinking of the name to cast it.

Congratulations, you have cast the spell 3 times. Now you will battle a goblin with the spell that you learned. After that your class will be assigned. Then the tutorial will end and you will be brought back to Earth to battle. When you get to Earth you will gain access to your status screen.

Hestia got ready by casting a buff on herself that would make her punches 10x more powerful for 5 minutes. After 10 seconds the goblin came out with its club. It ran at Hestia swinging wildly. Hestia ran back at it and punched right through the club and right into its face, killing it.

"But- But I don't have either of those!" Hestia was starting to get a bit worried but decided to kill the next goblin and see if it does anything to fix this. The goblin came out and she killed it just as she did before.

"For fucks sake! Come on! I don't have either of those!" This is the start of Hestia's entrapment in the tutorial where she has lost count of how long it has been.

Hestia was teleported to Earth in front of a tower. She didn't remember a tower being here but didn't put too much thought into it. She decided to check her status before doing anything else.

Hestia was a little surprised by her age but wasn't expecting anything less considering how long it felt to her. Then thought pets. It brought up a menu.

Hm, so normal animals. I wonder if they can be evolved. Most likely they can. It doesn't really matter what I choose though since I'm already max level and whatever I choose will be worse than me anyways. I'll go for the cutest one then...

"I choose turtle." As soon as Hestia said that a little green glow appeared around her and she could feel a connection to something, probably the turtle. She saw a person approaching her and decided to check her pet out some other time.

"Hello, can I have your name so I can register you as an awakened?" The guy asked her. Hestia was a bit confused on what he was talking about but just chalked it up to her not being up to date considering how long she was gone. Then decided to answer him with another question that was burning in her head.

"What's the date today?"

"Um, it's September 1 of 20xx" he responded. Hestia was very surprised it had only been 10 years. That means each year here was 100,000 years in the tutorial... That's crazy.

"So your name, lady?"

"Ah, yes of course. My name is Hestia. I would like to know if my parents are still around. Can you help with that?"

"... Why would you need that? The tutorial only takes a few minutes after being taken. Unless you were one of the people who was taken and never returned. You weren't one of them right?"

"I guess I was. I was taken 10 years ago according to the date."

"Wha- That makes you one of the first taken! Impossible! Tell me your last name and I'll go check the missing reports to see if you're lying or not."

"Okay, my last name is Lebog." The man then ran over to a building nearby and asked the people at the desk something. A few minutes later he turned around with a pale face and Hestia smirked knowing that he knew she wasn't lying now. He walked back over.

"Miss... We will be contacting your relatives and they will come here to get you since you were basically declared dead. Come with me and we will get you a new ID and then you will be ready to go."

Hestia followed the man to the desk and they made her a new ID. She then waited for about an hour before her parents showed up, they ran out of the car and hugged her as if their lives depended on it.

"I- How are you alive? I was so heartbroken when you never came back! I love you so much..." Her mother started sobbing after saying all that. Hestia teared up also and hugged her back. Before her father could speak the man spoke up again.

"Ahem, well now that you have your relatives the association would like you to come in sometime in the next week to talk and get your ranking and other things sorted out. Your parents will know where to go, then enjoy your time together." He walked away to leave Hestia to reunite with her parents.

"I missed you munchkin... So much." Her father said that then kissed her forehead then started walking over to the car, motioning for them to follow him. They left the hug and walked to the car to head home... A home that would be new to Hestia but she didn't care, she was just happy to see her parents again.
