It had been a week since Hestia did her test and became the first SSS-rank awakened. It became a big deal to the world that a SSS-rank was discovered. No one knew exactly who it was since the association told Hestia that they would keep her identity a secret.

Hestia had decided what she would be doing for the rest of her life. She was going to go around and find the cutest companions she could find. It was an admirable goal, atleast to her. She was about to go downstairs and tell her parents that she would be going on a trip to find the best companions. Mr.Snuggles was secured on her shoulder and she had a bag filled with a few pairs of clothes, her ID, phone, and debit card. Walking downstairs she saw her parents and walked up to them.

"Mom, Dad. I'm going on a trip around the world to go find the best companions for me. I don't know how long I'll be gone but I'll call you whenever I get the chance, I promise. I'll miss you a lot." Hestia gave both of them hugs and sniffled a little.

"Oh sweetie, that's perfectly fine I hope you find what you want. I know that sitting around the house with us is very different from the tutorial, so it's understandable that you want to go and find what you want. We will miss you." Her father told her and squeezed her in the hug he got.

"We hope you find what you are looking for. Just make sure to call us missy because we will miss you so so much." Her mom kissed her forehead and pulled her into another hug. Hestia put a smile on her face so her parents would remember her with a smile and not crying then waved and left the house. She walked down the road to the public transport station. She took a bus over to the train station and got on a train to her destination.

She had been doing research on where there were some unique looking monsters and found a place that had a monster called a Kelp. It was found in an underwater portal. According to the post about it, no one goes near them since they are known to strangle their victims before they even have a chance to fight back. When people enter that portal they are on high alert since the Kelps can come from anywhere. Hestia was looking forward to getting one as a companion since they were also known to be very cute.

The train was taking her from her location in New York over to Washington where the portal was located. She decided to sleep on the way there since she had nothing else to do.

Hestia woke up to someone nudging her with their hand. She grumbled but woke up and said thank you for waking her since they had arrived. She put Mr.Snuggles up on her shoulder, grabbed her bag, and walked off the train. She walked out of the station and called for a cab from her phone. Getting in the cab she told them to take her to the underwater portal location and they started the drive over. The underwater portal wasn't actually underwater, it was a portal on the beach near the water that teleported the person to a place that has a couple inches of water.

It's called the underwater portal because people get dragged under the water when the Kelps and other monsters there drag them under. Hestia was excited about finding a Kelp for herself. No one had tried to tame one so far which surprised Hestia since all monsters are tamable and this one was especially cute. But she didn't take into account that most people aren't level 1000 and have no need for a useless in battle pet.

She arrived at the town outside the portal and paid the cab driver. She got a lot of money from the association for being the first SSS-rank and all she had to do for the money was say that she would help when they needed her for high ranking portals. As she walked down the sidewalk in town she noticed a lot of people staring at Mr.Snuggles. Mr.Snuggles was eating up the attention and sitting there with his head held high. Who knew this turtle loved attention so much.

Hestia eventually arrived at the portal and showed her ID to the person checking the entrance of people. She noticed when his eyes grew wide seeing her rank then his mouth fell open staring at her. Hestia was getting impatient and waved her hand in front of his face but that didn't seem to work.

"Hello? Sir, I'm just trying to go in. Can you check me in or can I just walk in?" Hestia said with a slight bit of annoyance in her voice.

"Oh. OH! I'm so sorry! I just- Your rank... Sorry... Yeah, I'll check you in. What's your purpose for this visit? I have to ask for the check in." He was very flustered by her.

"I'm here to tame a Kelp." She stated. This caused him to drop his mouth open again. After a couple seconds he recovered and told her she could enter muttering under his breath about eccentric peoples tastes. When she got in her feet were covered in water.

Now I just need to find a Kelp. Shouldn't be too hard. Apparently they are usually around the trees in this portal. Trees...

Hestia looked around and saw trees in the distance. To get there faster she decided to buff herself. Telling Mr.Snuggles to hang on tight she took off towards the trees. It would usually take an hour to get to the trees but it took her just a couple minutes. Looking around she spotted a Carp, a different monster in this portal. Each portal usually had around 2 or 3 different monster types. As she walked around the trees searching for her kelp she felt something tug on her foot.

She looked down and lo and behold there was a kelp tugging on her. Obviously she was too strong for it to tug down like every other victim in this portal so she simply picked it up.

"Hi there little guy! I'm Hestia, this is Mr.Snuggles. I would like to tame you so you're gonna need to submit to me or I'll make an example of you for your friends and tame one of them. I promise you will love living with me." Hestia tried to talk it into going with her. The kelp seemed to think for a second then let out a shrieking noise and a blue box popped up in front of her.

"Why of course I would!"

Kelp is now your pet.

Hestia let out a little squeal and hugged the Kelp, thinking about what to name it. She thought about it and named it Koko since it was a girl Kelp. After she named it a new box showed up.

Kelp can evolve.

"Yes!"

Kelp available evolutions:

Level 50: Stringy Kelp

Level 100: Webby Kelp, Water Kelp

Level 500: Elemental Kelp, Durable Kelp

Level 1000: Ultimate Kelp, Blade Kelp

Well it seems ultimate Kelp has shown up again. I don't need another elemental companion so that's off the tables. So either Ultimate Kelp or Blade Kelp... Blade seems cool but could also suck badly. I think I'll try ultimate this time.

"I will choose Ultimate Kelp."

After she chose Koko was taken into a bubble of mist with multiple colors going on inside. After 2 minutes Koko came out of the bubble and looked completely different. Instead of a cute little Kelp she was now a beast that looked like a wolf but made of green plant matter. There was a mist coming off of Koko that made her look so much cooler than before.

"Koko! You look so cool. Maybe not as cute as before but you know I still find you cute.Is it possible for you to shrink a bit so you're about the size of a dog instead of this lion sized wolf?" Hestia watched as Koko shrunk to a dog size and squealed since she was super cute now. Telling Koko to stay that size forever cause she was the cutest just like Mr.Snuggles made Koko bark up at her and wag her tail.

Hestia picked up Koko and made sure that Mr.Snuggles was still on her shoulder then went to the boss of the portal, defeating it easily since it was only level 50. It seemed that the portals on Earth weren't anywhere near the level of Hestia. The closest one was level 300. While the highest person besides her was level 320.

Once they were out of the portal Hestia made her way back to town to look for some place to stay. People were definitely staring at her now that she had a wolf looking Kelp with her. But Hestia didn't care, all she cared about was that she had her companions.

While searching for a hotel she checked the abilities of her new companion.

She found a hotel and checked in. Heading straight to her room to take a nap since she was tired from her journey to find a Kelp. Hestia, Koko, and Mr.Snuggles were on the bed curled up and sleeping getting ready for the next part of their journey for the next companion.
