---Cross' POV----

I shivered as I stood in the hallway. I'm soaking wet and have no change of clothing. Sighing, I pulled off my top layer of clothes, leaving just my black long sleeved shirt on that's under my jacket.

I slung my jacket on the radiator and kicked off my shoes. There's nothing I can do about my shorts, but I'll have to deal with it, they're not that wet anyway.

I walked forwards and peered round the door of the living room. Nightmare had just taken off his hoodie and seemed to be checking it for something. I walked in and he glanced up at me.

"Umm, Dream said I could stay until the rain stopped."

"I know."

I looked at the floor. "Oh..."

Nightmare let out a sigh and slipped his hoodie back on, shuddering as he looked out the window at the pouring rain. "You really hate rain don't you?" I said.

Nightmare glanced at me and nodded. "Water burns me."

I blinked in surprise. "Really?"

He nodded and looked out the window again. "Its like acid to me, get enough of it on me and I go back to....." He went silent.

"Go back to what...?" I asked, wanting him to finish the sentence.

"Nothing...it doesn't matter." He muttered, frowning to himself.

I sighed and sat down on the other sofa. It was one of those sink into ones, it was incredibly comfy. I leaned back and relaxed, letting the fabric comfort me.

I shut my eyes and hummed, finding my current situation so calm and relaxing. Sadly for me, that moment was ruined by Nightmare throwing a cushion at me and hitting me square in the face.

I gasped and sat upright, glaring at him. Nightmare looked to the side innocently then glanced at me, a smirk on his face. "Is everything okay Cross?"

I grinned and picked up a cushion next to me. "Oh you asked for it." I chucked the cushion at him, hitting his shoulder, soon we were both throwing cushions back and forth at each other.

I got hit in the chest by one and I pretended to bleed out, falling off the sofa and reaching out for Nightmare as he just laughed and watched me die.

"Nightmare...help....me..." I whispered.

Nightmare grinned. "Nah, you look like you've got this whole dieing thing under control. I think I'll leave you too it."

I gasped and reached upwards before going completely limp, twitching occasionally. I could hear Nightmare get up, and sense him crouch next to me as he placed a hand on my forehead. "Another one dead." He muttered.

I opened my eyes and reached up dramatically. "Tell Killer I hate him."

Nightmare nodded. "I will Cross, I will."

---Dream's POV----

I lay on my stomach on my bed, my legs bent up behind me, swinging backwards and forwards. I was looking at my phone, it was currently playing a new episode of my all time favorite anime.

Nightmare always makes fun of me for watching anime, he says its only for little kids. To be honest I think he's interested with the concept. If I'm watching it Nightmare will often stand behind me and watch for a bit as well before scoffing and saying it's for babies.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean it. He just wouldn't want to admit that he likes it, which is understandable. He's not the type to admit to stuff.

I turned to look back at the anime to see the main character and her crush holding hands. I outwardly squealed in happiness, I've been praying for this ship to happen since the beginning of the series.

I felt a shadow loom over me and I yelped, whipping round.

"Whoah, chill Dream!" Cross said, taking a step back.

I looked away shyly. "Don't say anything, this is the best part!"

I looked back at the screen and shifted about until I was comfortable again. Cross walked next to me and looked at what I was watching. "Anime?" He asked.

I nodded my head, far too engrossed to give him a proper response. Cross continued to watch for a minute before braking my threatened silence.

"Hey Dream..."

I kept my eyes fixed on the screen. "Mmhm?"

"What does Senpai mean?"

I blushed and looked down. "Nothing..."

He frowned. "If I called you senpai, what would that mean?"

"Nothing..."

"What if I called Nightmare Senpai?"

"He'd probably kill you."

I looked over at him and he grinned. "Let's test that shall we?"

"No Cross I'm serious!" I yelled as I scrambled off my bed and chased him down the stairs. He laughed and ran into the living room where Nightmare was calmly reading a book.

He looked up as we crashed in. "What do you idiots want?"

"Cross don't." I warned. He just grinned at me.

Nightmare looked at the two of us warily, obviously not trusting us to not be pulling a prank right now.

"Go away." Nightmare muttered.

Cross smirked. "Okay....Senpai"

Nightmare looked up at him. "What did you just say?"

I gulped and backed up. Cross grinned. "I said okay, Senpai"

Nightmare lashed out at him with a tentacle. "DON'T CALL ME THAT!"

Cross yelped and dived out of the way. "HOLY SHIT YOU WERE RIGHT!"

I squeaked and ran out after Cross, not wanting Nightmare to grab me instead. He's probably going to blame this on me. Nightmare chased the two of us round the house for about ten minutes before I tripped over and prepared to be hung upsidedown by his tentacles.

But instead I felt myself being caught and swept of my feet and into someone's arms. I opened my eyes slowly to see Cross smirking down at me. "You need to be more careful Dream."

For some reason I felt my face heat up and I looked to the side, avoiding his gaze. He laughed and looked over at Nightmare, I did too. He was stood there with his arms crossed over his chest, not looking very impressed.

Cross hugged me to his chest. "You wouldn't attack me while I'm holding Dream would you?"

"You'd be surprised." Nightmare growled.

Cross blinked then took a step back, slowly putting me down on my feet. I backed up with him, not wanting to be left in the room with a pissed off Nightmare.

Nightmare grinned and took a step forwards, making Cross and I take a step back. "There's no where to run now~" He purred, taking another step closer, his tentacles fidgeting excitedly

Cross let out a nervous laugh and glanced out the window. Oh gosh look at that, the rains stopped. I guess I have to go now!" He walked for the door but stumbled back as one of Nightmares tentacles lashed out in front of him, blocking his path.

"I don't think so Cross." He growled.

"Yikes he really is mad." Cross muttered.

"I told you he would be!" I hissed, taking another step back.

Nightmare stared at Cross. "If you call me that again I will follow you home and wait till your asleep to shove a tentacle down your throat. And trust me, I'll be laughing while you struggle to stop it from choking you."

I gulped. Cross blinked and smiled innocently, tilting his head to the side. "Call you what?"

Nightmare growled. "Don't play dumb with me."

Cross looked down at the floor. "Okay I won't....senpai...."

He whispered the last bit but Nightmare still managed to hear and he lunged for him. Cross yelped and dived out of the way, running out into the hallway and grabbing his jacket and stuff that was now dry.

I watched as he ran outside and stood a few feet out of the porch triumphantly. It was still spitting with rain, but it had definitely calmed down from when we came in.

Nightmare stopped at the door, not daring to go any further because of the rain. Cross smirked and waved at both of us. "Bye Dream! Bye Nightmare... Or should I say Senpai?"

Nightmare growled silently and Cross laughed. "See you guys tomorrow!"

Then he turned and ran up our drive and down the road, laughing to himself all the way.

Nightmare watched him go, the faintest tint of blue dusting across his cheeks. I giggled and he froze before shutting the door and staring at me, a wide grin on his face.

"Where did he find that word Dreamy?"

I gulped. "H-He saw me watching anime."

Nightmares expression changed. "You better start running Brother."

I immediately turned and scrambled up the stairs, Nightmare hot on my heels. I dashed into my room and slammed the door shut, pushing myself against it in an effort to keep it closed.

Knocking on the door sounded.

"Go away!" I yelled, giggling slightly. I know he's not properly mad, he's just bing silly.

"Dream I'll brake this door down."

I giggled. "I'm watching anime!"

"Oh God. On second thoughts, I think I'd like to leave all the crap in your room."

"Its not crap!"

"Hehe sure its not."
