Chapter Thirteen: The Surprise That Came After

"Two people are shocked. A third joins and this goes on. That's called a surprise. You don't know what it's about."

╚══ ❀•°❀°•❀ ══

Molly Weasley awoke to the serene atmosphere of chirping birds and fresh wind blowing through the window. She yawned and stretched. It seemed like she had never gotten a much better sleep since years. The last night was still a blur to her. After dinner she had retreated to her bedroom and fell asleep beside an already asleep Arthur. As the night processed, she witnessed Ginny visiting her and speaking to her. It seemed very strange as it seemed as if everything was real. Fred never appeared in her dreams to talk to her. Molly shook away all the thoughts and got up to start her day.

⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡

The sound of vessels comforted Molly as she cooked breakfast for the whole family besides her Weasley grandchildren. On her way to the kitchen she saw Ron's Ford Angelia parked right outside the window of the sitting room. She had seen the car under a tree the last night and wondered how it changed places. Perhaps Ron had shifted the place. Shrugging away thoughts about the car, she continued cooking the stew. She heard the sound of shuffling chairs and was greeted by Hermione.

"Good morning, Mrs Weasley," Hermione greeted cheerfully. Mrs Weasley turned to her with a smile.

"Good morning, Hermione dear. Had a good sleep?" she asked.

"Yes, Mrs Weasley but I witnessed a bizarre dream," Hermione replied as she made herself a cup of coffee. "Coffee?"

"Yes, please dear," Mrs Weasley replied. Hermione nodded with a smile and made another cup. Percy entered the kitchen too.

"Good morning, mum, Hermione," Percy greeted and sat down on one of the chairs. Hermione passed him a cup of coffee. "Thank you."

"So, Hermione dear, what was the bizarre dream?" Molly asked, hoping not to intrude her privacy. "You can answer if you feel comfortable, dear."

"Of course I do, Mrs Weasley!" Hermione exclaimed, picking her cup of coffee and sitting down. Molly nodded and stirred the stew. "I dreamt of Ginny talking to me."

Percy spat out a bit of coffee on himself just as Hermione finished her sentence. Molly left the spoon and looked her youngest daughter-in-law. Hermione looked between Percy and Molly.

"Um. . . Did I say anything wrong?" she asked. Percy's eyes met Molly's.

"Would you believe it if I were to say that Ginny came in my dream as well?" Percy asked, twirling his wand to clean up the table and his dress.

"I should say the same," Molly replied with a shocked tone. Hermione's eyes widened and Percy looked at her with confused eyes.

"I hope I can add more shocks to that revelation," another feminine voice sounded. Angelina entered the kitchen.

"Did you dream about Ginny too?" Percy asked in disbelief. Angelina nodded.

"Exactly. She told me to help George just like last time."

"Help me on what?" George entered behind her with a jovial smile. Angelina looked surprised to have witnessed him smiling. "Pranking the son of Marauder? I knew you wanted a revenge from Harrykins for that incredible snitch snatching in our last family match. Come on, Angie. Let's plan!"

"I am not joking, George," Angelina replied and took a seat beside Percy.

"What are you all on about? 'Mione, give me a cup," George asked. Hermione snorted at the use of the nickname. Nevertheless she passed him a cup too. George started drinking it and Angelina took the moment to answer his question.

"Apparently, Ginny appeared in all of our dreams and confronted us to move on."

The sip of coffee that just passed in was spat out once again on the table. Molly smiled as Angelina and Percy shared a laugh. Hermione rolled her eyes and cleaned it up with a wave of her wand, though she wore a small smile too.

"Wait, what? Is it my birthday, mum? April first already?" George asked.

"Don't tell moi that you all shared ze same dream," a French mixed English accent came as it's owner entered the kitchen with her wand in her hand, her silver blonde hair flowing behind her.

"You too?!" George asked. Fleur nodded. "I think her ghost visited us," George joked.

"No I think it should be considered seriously," Bill said as he entered the kitchen behind his wife. "She told me to never give up on my mission."

As if the Burrow was on fire, everyone started shouting their questions at once.

"How?!"

"I am sure it's Ginny's ghost who is haunting us to prank us!"

"Shut up George!

"Eze not 'ossible."

"What about Charlie? Ron? Harry? Dad?"

"There must be a logical explanation to this."

"Or magical explanation?"

"Stop it!" Molly shrieked. Instantly the kitchen fell silent. She slumped down heavily on a chair which Hermione offered. Fleur turned the stove off. The sound of rushed footsteps was heard and Arthur, Charlie and Ron entered the kitchen.

"Whatzzit?" Ron asked sleepily. He was still in his pyjamas and his hair was ruffled.

"Did Ginny appear in your dream?" Angelina spoke for all. Charlie's eyes widened and Ron's sleep seemed to disappear. Mr Weasley was the one who spoke up.

"She did in mine. Talked about helping the family," he answered calmly. Charlie nodded.

"Same."

"Did she appear in your dreams too?" Ron asked. Hermione nodded.

"Apparently yes."

Suddenly something crashed above their heads. Everyone looked up at the ceiling separating Ginny's room from the lower level.

"Oh dear, Harry," Molly muttered and rushed upstairs. Everyone followed suit. The ones who were armed with their wands had it out and pointed it forward for any action that may arise. Molly opened the door of the bedroom and found Harry dancing.

"Mate?" Charlie asked. Harry stopped dead in his tracks then turned around to face them. He was holding a crying Albus.

"Umm . . . I am sorry?" Harry replied. Another sound of crying came from within the room and Molly noticed James crying as well.

"What's wrong?" she asked, concerned.

"They have been crying since early morning, Mrs Weasley."

"Maybe zey are 'ungry, 'Arry," Fleur suggested. Harry shook his head.

"I tried feeding Al some milk but he won't drink, changed his nappy and even rocked him. They miss Ginny."

Molly walked forward and took the wailing Albus from Harry. She sat on the bed and slowly sang a song. Albus instantly started hiccuping then finally fell asleep. James too fell asleep clutching his teddy bear. Harry walked to James and wiped his tears away as Molly did the same with Albus. She slowly placed Albus on the bed and tucked him in. Hermione signaled them to go down and everyone filed out of the room including herself and Harry. As soon as they were in the sitting room, everyone sat down.

"I heard the commotion but couldn't come due to well . . ." Harry scratched his neck.

"It is okay, son. I need to ask you a question which may seem personal but please answer it," Arthur said. Harry nodded, urging him to continue. "Apparently, we all shared a dream of Ginny in which she asked us to move on. Did you dream as such, Harry?" Arthur asked, gently. Harry's eyes widened and Molly began to worry if that was personal. However, Harry shocked them by smiling.

"I did, Mr Weasley. To tell the truth, I even spoke to her . . . kinda."

"Spoke?" Percy asked. Harry nodded.

"I was up late. Working on some paperwork when I heard her voice. She first scolded me for staying up late then err. . .told me that she was proud of me. . . she told me to move on and I replied that I won't be able to. I-err sort of conversed her on that. I don't think that sounds sane, does it? But I swear I was kissed by her!" Harry exclaimed to avoid all the widened eyes on him. He turned red as he realized what he had blabbed.

"I can tell the same," Arthur supported. "but on the cheek," he joked. Everyone laughed as he smiled.

"So Ginny has really visited us?" Charlie wondered. Molly noticed Ron pale then look out. He paled even more.

"Ron? Are you alright, dear?" Molly asked. Ron looked at her and nodded slowly.

"Well I think Ginny really did help me? "Bill looked confused yet happy. "I can see that you all are back to the family I know."

"Yes son. We shall never waver again. Am I right in promising this?" Arthur asked. Everyone nodded or answered in affirmative. "Alright son. I just heard from the apparent ghost of my daughter that I was supposed to have a granddaughter soon. Is that piece of info true?" Arthur suddenly asked, turning to Harry with a stern expression. Harry gulped.

"Well, I did know that I would be a er. . . I mean, I. . . I mean we-" he stammered turning red by each passing second as everyone smirked. "I'm sorry Mr and Mrs Weasley!"

"What are you apologizing for, young man? I think I should be rather happy that another granddaughter was created," Arthur said, smiling widely. Turned out his whole stern act was a prank. "You have been pranked."

Harry stared slack jawed. He closed his mouth and blinked his eyes then started laughing his head off as others joined him and Molly found herself smiling genuinely during breakfast. Her family was back to their bubbly self. Unbeknownst to her, her youngest son was pale with guilt.

⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡⚡

Minutes after a delicious and peaceful breakfast, Molly walked into the living room to find Harry comforting James. Albus was still asleep in their bedroom.

"-not now," Harry said.

"I wan' to go with you, daddy!" James yelped, flailing around. Harry sighed.

"What's the matter, dear?" Molly asked. Harry looked up at her.

"I have a place to visit and James insists on tagging along. He won't like place," Harry replied. Molly gave her grandson a sympathetic smile.

"Jamie dear, how about chocolate frogs?" she asked. James shook his head.

"I don't wan' chocy! I wan' daddy!" Harry sighed again.

"Well, how about those little playful gnomes? They are waiting in the garden for you to toss and play with them. Perhaps you want your little teddy to be bitten by them. Poor Bonbo," Mrs Weasley said cheekily. James looked up with big, tearful eyes.

"They ea' Bonbo?" he asked curiously. Molly nodded. He looked at Harry for confirmation.

"Yes son," Harry lied. James raised his arms to his grandmother.

"Bad Gno! Take Jamie, granny!" he exclaimed. Molly smiled and scooped him up in her arms. She nodded to Harry.

"Thank you, Mrs Weasley," Harry whispered. Molly smiled in reply. He left to the door and the crack of apparition was heard a few moments later.

"Bonbo?" James asked.

"Let's go to Bonbo."

Molly started making her way upstairs to the first floor bedroom when she heard a shuffling sound above. The stairs creaked violently and Molly frowned. She stopped on the penultimate step to the top and saw Ron emerge from the second level with an anxious face.

"Mum! Have you seen my Angelia?" Ron asked urgently.

"The last I saw was when I was cooking breakfast. Didn't you park it by the house, Ron?"

"Err, I did mum but it's missing err. . ." Ron stuttered as he turned even paler.

"Are you okay, dear?" Molly asked gently. Ron gulped then nodded. Molly knew that something was wrong with him but he wasn't telling her. She would have to talk to Hermione to talk to him. "Someone might have taken it, dear. Worry not, they will be back."

"Who's gone out?" Ron asked.

"Your dad, Percy and Harry," Molly replied. Ron paled even more. "You have the key right? Perhaps Harry took it. He has the duplicate, doesn't he, dear?" Molly asked and received a hasty nod.

"I need to get going mum. If you err come across it, please send word," Ron requested. Molly smiled in assurance and nodded. Ron left for his room and Molly led her grandson to his dearest bear, Bonbo.

Another chapter ends. The whole chapter was Molly's PoV and it was very fun to write her. I hope you liked the chapter!
