❦Chapter 33: Deranged Discord❦
"F-Freddy-?" You stammered in a shocked tone, completely confused as to how he got here. A dream demon in heaven?
"Miss me?" Freddy asked innocently, his breath fanning against your neck whilst he held you close.
"I-I don't understand. How did you find me?" You faintly questioned; feeling bewildered and scared at the same time.
"I have my ways. However the dream demons always like to help me through loop holes." He grinned.
"(Y/n)!" Ash panicked and tried to aim her knife at Freddy - not focusing on Azereth. The Incubus King tore his claws through the back of her stomach and shoved her towards the ground, satisfied by her pain.
"The King of Nightmares I presume?" Azereth stepped over Ashley and leaned against the wall with his arms crossed.
"The one and only~" The killer responded proudly, pleased by his high-and-mighty title.
"So what are you doing here? Don't tell me you're into angels." Azereth chuckled. Freddy only scoffed at the incubus, shaking his head and giving your neck a quick kiss.
"Oh, you're here for little robin. What a pity, I was beginning to like her myself." Azereth sighed in amusement, fake-pouting.
"Dream on, incubitch. Now go back to Hell or I'll make you." Freddy's voice slipped into a possessive growl - disliking the incubus's thirst for you.
"You're threatening me? You're a lowly demon, I'm much more powerful than you. What a stupid move." Azereth jeered back darkly.
"I think you're mistaking powerful for pathetic." Freddy retorted just as coldly, both males irritated by each other.
"Both of you...are fucking...pathetic..." Ashley coughed as she weakly sat up, doing her best to recover. Azereth laughed at her, seizing her by the throat and slamming her against the wall whilst he did so.
"Yet you're the one who got defeated. How sad." He sneered at her spitefully; half-strangling her.
"A-Ash!" You tried to move forwards but ended up stumbling back - Freddy's hold on you too strong.
"Ah, ah, ah. Where do you think you're going? You've caused me a lot of trouble sweets, and I can't let that go." The demon murmured obsessively.
"Wherever you're taking her, I suggest you do it quickly fool; the angels are coming." Azereth rolled his eyes as he dumped Ash back to the ground, hearing footsteps.
"Sister...I tried...to stop them. I really...did..." Ashley choked when Amanda appeared - the nun's expression one of surprise.
"Farewell, honeybun~" Azereth blew you a kiss and winked at the nun before vanishing into thin air, presumably back home.
"So...you're here. How it shames me to even acknowledge you at this point." Amanda wrinkled her nose in disgust as she bent down to check on Ashley.
"Aww, and here I thought you were pleased to see me." Freddy taunted his mother impishly, letting go of your neck and instead gripping your wrist. You tried pulling away but stiffened when he flashed you a warning look.
"I regret ever conceiving you. I'm ashamed to call you my son, my kin - even my blood. Now let her go, or suffer the inescapable consequences." She icily demanded.
"Or what? You can't fight me or your precious angel will bleed out. Make a choice mother dear, make~a~choice~" The demon pointed out deviously, holding his knifed glove out in defence.
"H-He...He's right. A-And I'm...the fallen o-one...Just look at...my...my wings..." Ashley was gasping for air as she sat up against the prison wall, her face pale.
"Fallen angels can return to their original form if given the chance." Amanda sternly told Ashley before biting her lip; not knowing what to do.
"Save (Y/n)."
"Save Ashley." You both spoke to the tensed up nun quickly, your plea being louder than Ash's due to her dying state.
You stared into Amanda's eyes - a desperate gleam glittering in your gaze whilst you prayed that she'd save Ash. Your friend did try to kill you, but she did it so you'd come back as an angel and you'd stay together - it wasn't a death penalty.
"Will you be alright? If I save Ashley, I can't guarantee your safety, nor your escape from him." Amanda's face hardened, a grave tone to her voice.
"I'll be fine - now save her!" You panicked when Ashley lapsed into total silence; her breathing growing even more fragile. The nun sent you a sorrowful smile and then turned to treat Ash's wounds, the angel feebly protesting.
"Time to go, pet~" Freddy's voice was brimming with triumph, the demon dragging you back a bit. You tried to free your wrist with your other hand but the slasher only pushed you against the wall; placing his sharp blades against your neck once more.
"Going against me is useless at this point - you're only making it harder on yourself." He tutted condescendingly, and you glared at him.
"I don't care how hard it is on me, I will get away from you." You sourly spoke.
"That's what I love about you." The killer purred before pushing you backwards. The wall vanished and you fell into a crimson portal - the long drop making you scream a little. Your feet touched the ground a few minutes later and you clung to something - something soft - the cottony material comforting you.
"You look awfully cute when you're filled with fear...did you know that~?" Freddy whispered mischievously into your ear, his arms wrapped around your dazed form. Your eyes shot open to see that you were holding onto his sweater, your cheeks turning a cherry-colour whilst you realised.
"I'm not afraid of you!" You stubbornly hissed; deciding to take a defensive stance as you pushed yourself away from him. You weren't going to let him push you around. The familiar boiler room materialised around you two, making you despise the environment.
"Maybe not me, but you're terrified of what I can do." You were about to deny his stupid claim, but then he held up Ellie's head - the dead girl's face contorted into one of terror.
"E-E...Ellie..." You sputtered in shock. All your angry thoughts and feelings about Freddy ceased to exist in that moment - being replaced by undiluted horror. It was the type of fear that froze you to the floor; the kind that you couldn't snap out of easily.
"T-Tell me...Tell me you didn't...Please tell me that's an illusion..." You stuttered incoherently, backing away.
"Little Ellie fell asleep...and you know what happens when my children fall asleep." The slasher snickered as he tossed her head onto the floor and pressed the heel of his shoe against it.
"N-No! Don't!" You yelped and clutched your hair, pleading with him not to-
His smile deepened when he stomped down on her head, squishing the skin and cracking the skull wide open - the very sight forcing you to let out a freaked out cry. E-Ellie...The happy-go-lucky, blue-haired girl that you used to work with was now...gone...-her soul power already given to the demon.
"This was your punishment princess...when you run from me people get hurt." Freddy reminded you evilly.
Several emotions began to flood your body: fury; pain; sorrow; exhaustion; misery - each one strengthening your power by the minute. Eventually you couldn't take the powerful collection of feelings and released an extremely loud howl of agony, your magical talent breaking every piece of machinery in the boiler room. Your outburst even caught Freddy off-guard - the killer smacking into the back wall.
"How strange...your soul's turned a different colour - it's a mix of scarlet and sapphire. Even more beautiful than usual." He muttered creepily, climbing to his feet seconds after. You sent him the most hateful glance you could before turning on your heel and storming off - fiery determination fuelling you again.
"Come back kitten, come back!" Freddy called after you teasingly; his sadistic nature enjoying your waves of hurt and anger.
"Stay away from me!" You viciously yelled as you slammed a metal door shut behind you.
Deciding to lock it, you also made your power hold it shut, not wanting to even see the slasher right now. Taking a step back, you shrieked and stumbled backwards - not looking where you were stepping. Turns out there was a gaping hole in the ground, intense heat radiating above it.
Luckily you'd grabbed the edge of this odd-looking circle, your hands gripping the concrete painfully. Freddy - sensing your power fade from the door - simply walked through the wall, smirking at your distressed state and crouching down on his knees.
"Looks like someone needs help~" He mocked ruthlessly, grabbing your chin and tilting it towards him.
"W-Why do you have a fucking hole here?!" You were seething at this point; wishing you could kill him right there and then.
"It's not just a hole sweets, it's my gateway to hell. My hellhole if you will." Freddy cackled as he held his hand out to you, planning to pull you up.
Taking a look down, you saw what he meant. Flames licked the bottom of your feet; sorrowful sobs drifting up to the surface from the fiery depths of Hell itself. Looking back at Freddy's hand, you questioned which fate would be worse.
Going to Hell or being toyed with by Freddy?
You moved your hand towards his to make it look like you were going to take it, but then let go of the ledge - your body plummeting down into the bowels of the dark realm.
