❦Chapter 35: Incubus Interval❦

Out of nowhere all the incubi and succubi started to fight, snapping at each other and holding their claws out threateningly. Azereth just ignored them, instead taking ahold of your wrist softly and steering you away from the rowdy crowd.

"W-What was that all about?" You nervously asked, earning a quiet laugh from the Incubus King.

"Our Master made a game out of you - whoever can have sex with you without involving rape will gain a fraction of his power. And everyone here would love to even taste his magic, so that's why they began to argue about it." He swiftly broke the game down for you as he lead you into the dark castle.

"I don't want to partake in any game, all I want to do is get back home." You sighed.

"Back to the dream realm?" Azereth assumed and looked down at you with his purple eyes.

"That's not my home. Springwood is." You corrected him, staring back at him sorrowfully.

"Spring...wood...?" He repeated curiously; not understanding properly.

"Yeah...it's a town. Y'know on Earth?" You scathingly replied.

"But Krueger came to collect you, I don't-"

"Let's get one thing straight, I am not something to be collected! He only came after me to drag me back into his hellish nightmare - because for some unknown reason he's obsessed with me!" Your temper burst and you clenched your fists, angered by the subject at hand.

"So he's trying to kidnap you?" Azereth caught on quickly as he stayed by your side instead of continuing to walk.

"Yes. He concocted a stupid plan with another serial killer to get me back in his grasp and it almost worked, except Ashley saved me at the last minute and-" You stopped speaking and remembered how Azereth had almost killed her in cold-blood, his laughter echoing in your mind.

"Little robin?" He touched your shoulder, which made you jump.

"Y-You...You almost killed-"

"The angel? Well I couldn't help it, she did call me pathetic after all. And I dislike being insulted by lesser creatures." Azereth sniffed snootily, turning up his nose at the topic.

"She was my friend." You muttered and started walking again - but this time you walked away from him.

"Was your friend. She tried to kill you, so how can you still accept her? What kind of person continues a friendship after that?" He sounded genuinely bewildered as he remained still.

You didn't move; your eyes glued to the floor whilst you took in his words. Was it that strange that you continued to care for Ashley? She had been there for you through hard times, during the asylum and during Freddy's mischievous wrath with you. She'd saved you from the risky Rings of Raivern and snatched you out of Freddy's grip.

"She still is my friend. Yes Ashley tried to kill me, and yes she scared me a little, but she's like a sister to me. We may not be related by blood however she was the only person I counted as a relative. So even if she kills me a million times, I wouldn't think any less of her." You heroically stated, turning around and locking eyes with him again.

"You've got the same mindset...the same thinking as her." Azereth murmured under his breath as he got closer to you again, his tail flicking a little.

"Her? Who do you-?"

"Lianna. Queen Lianna. I knew it, I knew you were a descendant - I could sense it the moment you walked past me in Heaven." He chuckled and pinned you against the wall; his expression one of amusement.

"Hey! What are you doing? Who cares if I'm a stupid descendant?!" You defensively snapped.

"I wouldn't call you stupid, sugar. You've  probably got more power than I, and I'm a pretty powerful being." Azereth grinned charmingly, not loosening his hold on you one bit.

"Why did he...Why did he say that I'm the last descendant? And what does it mean to be a descendant of Queen Lianna? I'm not understanding and it's frustrating me." You muttered and looked away from him, now gazing at the floor.

"Why don't we discuss this somewhere else? I don't know about you but I don't like to be spied on." Azereth's mood soured after he said that and you grew confused.

"Spied on? But we're alone." You frowned as you looked around, wholeheartedly confused.

He shook his head and brought out a pocket knife, putting his finger to his lips whilst he shut his eyes - his stance predator-like. Seconds ticked past before he threw the knife at sickening speed, the weapon whizzing towards one of the tall pillars. It pierced the marble and a creature leapt out, shocked by how he'd been spotted.

"K-King Azereth, I-I was merely-"

"I assume you've heard of the game as well?" Azereth stalked forwards and seized the whimpering creature by the scruff of his neck, an eyebrow raised.

"Y-Yes my King. But also her blood...I can smell it from miles away. I-It's so sweet and superior to anything I've ever smelt before!" The creature babbled in excitement, his eyes snapping to your body instead of Azereth's.

"That's because she's a descendant of royalty - I expect her to be treated as such. And as for the game," Azereth's tone slipped from a pompous one to a deadly one, "-don't expect to win it."

"Now get out of my sight, and make sure no one else gets any ideas. I despise being spied on like a commoner." He ordered darkly as he shoved the creature towards the ground - tired of him.

"Y-Yes Master!" The creature squeaked and sprinted off.

"Did he just say my...my blood smelled sweet...?" You faintly questioned; a little creeped out by the creature's statement.

"Like I said, let's talk somewhere else. C'mon."Azereth sternly spoke.

You stared suspiciously at him - this was the same guy who plunged his claws into Ashley's back and laughed at her pain. The same one who tried to hypnotise you and take you back here with him. And now he wanted to talk privately with you? Why should you go? You did want answers though. Maybe you could learn more about your supposed "royalty".

"Fine. But you'd better not try anything or you'll be sorry!" You sharply told him, folding your arms and then flicking your head to the side. He smirked at your antics as he grabbed you from behind, wrapping his arms around your waist in a soft embrace.

"But the more you act like that, the more entertaining it is to mess with you." Azereth cooed flirtatiously, his warm breath fanning against your neck.

"Stop acting like a jerk. You're meant to be a King, aren't you? Well start acting like one." You acted cold and pushed his hands away, irritated by his teasing tone.

"I'm the King of Incubi, therefore I act the way I want to. Problem?" He responded jauntily.

"Lots." You rolled your eyes as you waited for him to show you the way.

"Hilarious. Now let's go to my quarters so I can delve into full detail. May we?" Azereth bowed slightly, one hand held out to you.

"Sure." You gave in and took his hand, allowing him to pull you close.

"This way then, Lady (Y/n)." He smiled smugly.

"Lady...?" You softly repeated; puzzled by the high and mighty title.

"It is a long standing rule to address a blood relative of royalty as either Lady or Lord. And if they are royalty, then they shall be addressed as King, Queen, Prince or Princess. I take it you did not know this?" Azereth explained casually, both of you passing different rooms of the castle.

"I never did pay attention to history class." You awkwardly admitted, earning another laugh from him.

He then stopped outside a room at the end of the corridor, this door bound shut by a magical and dark force. Azereth waved his hand and the black bindings were gone, the door now free to be unlocked. The incubus opened the door for you, letting you go in first out of manners. Once you were both inside he shut it, locking it for extra measure.
