[Chapter 30: Morning Jumpscare]

"(Y...Y/n)...?"..."(Y...Y/n)...!"..."A...Are you...Are you a-alright...? I-Is everything okay...?!"

Still feeling relatively sleepy, your eyes slowly fluttered open; your hands now grasping the covers as you casually came to. "Oh, Norman...Good morning..." You greeted with a weak smile, stifling a yawn once you'd realised who had woken you up. "How'd you sleep last night...?"

"N-Never mind that...! W...What's wrong...!?" Norman bursted out dramatically, acting weirdly alarmed while you grew confused. "W...What happened...!?"

"What do you mean "What happened?"...?"
"I-I know...! It...It was Krueger, w...wasn't it...!?"
"What was Krueger...?" You asked in bewilderment, startled by Norman's sudden explosion and deciding to shift your attention towards Michael instead. "Um, did something happen whilst I was asleep...?"

Fortunately, Michael answered you; stepping next to your side of the bed before scribbling down his response. "YO IᔕᔕE YOᑌᖇ ᗩᒪᗩᖇᗰ, ᗩᑎᗪ OOK EE OE TIE Tᕼᗩᑎ ᑌᔕᑌᗩᒪ. TᕼᗩT' ᗯᕼY E' ᗩᒪᒪ OKE ᑌᑭ. AND YOU'RE JUST SO, SO BEAUTIFUL<3 I LOVE WATCHING YOU. DAY OR NIGHT. ANY TIME. ANY PLACE. YOU ARE MY EVERYTHING<3"]

"Okay, okay, I got it." You replied sarcastically, raising your eyebrows after handing Michael's notepad back to him. "Thanks for the reminder. But it wasn't anything to do with Freddy, Norman. I was just tired-out from yesterday."

"B-But...But you NEVER m-miss your alarm...!" Norman stubbornly retorted, hugging you from the side as tightly as he possibly could. "I...I don't b-believe it...! He MUST'VE h-had something to do with...with THIS...!"

"I'm being 100% honest here." You told him truthfully, your expression twisting into one of annoyance. "Yesterday was a lot to handle and I became exhausted. That's really all there is to it."

"B...But—!"
"Are you calling me a liar...?" You irritably retaliated, your tiredness making you behave colder than usual while you pushed the covers backwards and swung your legs over to the side of the bed.

"N-No...! I-I...I would NEVER c-call you a liar...!" Norman cried aloud; your comment striking a sore spot whilst he watched you pull away from his hold and stand up. "I-I...I was just...just..."

"Well in that case, I'll see you downstairs for breakfast." You casually announced, heading over to your wardrobe and choosing your outfit.

"A-Alright..." He mumbled with defeat, leaving the room so you could get changed alone. Well

"Michael." You spoke strictly, placing your clothes on top of your bed before spinning around to face the silent slasher. "That means you too. I don't want to be watched while getting dressed." But like always, the mute male just stood there; staring at you obsessively. Of course.

"Michael...! Please don't do this. I don't have the time." You groaned in frustration, realising that if you didn't get dressed and get ready, you'd be late for Uni. "Just wait for me outside the door, okay...? I promise I'll be done in a couple of minutes."

Though again, he didn't leave, Michael ignoring your words and taking a step or two closer towards you instead. You were about to raise your voice and reprimand him, but before you could, he curled his arms around you and tugged you into a tremendously tight hug; the killer resting his head on top of yours and therefore enjoying the moment instead of listening to your commands. A sigh escaped your lips as you lightly shook your head, wondering what to do due to Michael always being this stubborn. After a few minutes you eventually pulled away and pointed fiercely towards the door, signalling for the stalker to leave the room and let you get dressed alone. It was a 50-50 chance, and in all honesty you weren't sure if it was even going to work, but thankfully it did - with Michael lowering his head and unwillingly leaving you in peace. Thank goodness. At least the others hadn't given you any morning trouble. Well, you didn't know where Penny had disappeared to, Hannibal was far too polite to ignore your demands, and as far as you were concerned, Billy and Stu hadn't broken any rules or trespassed...yet.

Regardless, you got dressed, brushed your hair, readied yourself for the day and then headed downstairs, preparing breakfast and sitting down at the table once you'd pleasantly greeted the others. "Y-Yay...! Y-You always make t-the...the BEST breakfasts, (Y-Y/n)...!" Norman exclaimed happily, clapping his hands together as soon as he'd thanked you for the usual morning meal.

"Oh, I don't know about that, I just whip things together and make sure that it's edible." You playfully joked, tucking into your food and satisfying your hunger within mere seconds. "I'm just relieved that you like it, considering I'm no chef."

"While you may not be classified as a professional, culinary artist, your cooking skills are still nothing to sneeze at, (Y/n) dearest." Hannibal commented gently, his charisma and charm entering the conversation while he sat down opposite you to eat his own breakfast.

"Why would you sneeze at her ability to cook...? That doesn't even make any sense." Pennywise remarked in a perplexed fashion, his confused frown making you burst out laughing from uncontrolled amusement.

"It's just a phrase, Penny." You giggled as you finished eating and stifled another laugh. "Just a phrase. Try to remember that."

"Again with showing how little he actually knows about human culture." Hannibal sighed with a condescending tone, shaking his head and rolling his eyes in the process.

"Hannibal don't start. Your power to provoke others is unparalleled sometimes...honestly." You brought up tiredly, standing up before taking your dishes over to the sink to wash them. But - like usual - Norman bounced over and begged to wash them for you, causing you to awkwardly agree and thank him.

"Provoke...? My dear, I was merely pointing out certain...flaws of his, that's all. I mean, it's not that difficult to learn more about a person's mannerisms, now is it...?" The psychiatrist politely pointed out, wrapping his arms around your waist from behind so he could bring you into an immediately sweet embrace.

"Not knowing human phrases doesn't mean that Pennywise deserves to be shamed for it." You argued against him defensively, turning around before folding your arms. "So I'd appreciate it if you'd stop doing so. It's un-gentlemanlike."

"N-No kidding..." Norman childishly chipped in, siding with you and shooting a glare towards Hannibal at the very same time. "N...Not to m-mention rude..."

Now feeling slightly irritated, you were about to just walk away and leave your partners to their own devices, when a couple of careful knocks sounded at the front door; causing you to jump and making the rest of the slashers to become highly suspicious. "W-Who is that...!?" Norman panicked, turning his attention away from the others and towards the empty hallway instead.

"Whoever they are, they're not a local citizen." Hannibal concluded sternly, pulling out his usual weapon - a pocketknife - and walking into the hallway first, Michael moving in front of you in a flash and following soon after. "Nobody from town knows about our place of residence. Something's not right here."

"Pffft, whatever. I could take these trespassers out within seconds. Watch me." Pennywise darkly grinned, crossing his arms and leaning against the hallway's wall with arrogance. "You might know a lot more about humans than I do, but when it comes to strength, you're shit."

"Okay, okay, now wait just a minute...!" You interrupted worriedly, pushing ahead of the four and wondering who it could possibly be. "They might not even be a threat...! So why don't you...why don't you guys let me answer it first, and then if they are an actual threat, then you can take them out...?"

"I-I...I don't know..." Norman murmured sourly, narrowing his eyes and staring at the door with distrust. "T-This...This whole thing i-is really, r-really weird. I mean...I-I mean even Michael i-is against your idea..."

"Michael is against me doing anything without his approval." You huffed sharply, placing your hand on the doorknob and opening the door without a second thought. "So don't assume Michael's overprotective attitude is—"

"Morning, (Y/n)...! We've been waiting for you...!"
