Chapter 13: Fairy Dust

"Uh hello I'm Emlyn, he did not mean that." Emlyn responded quickly hoping these fairies would brush it off.

They looked at each other before one of them spoke, "Hear you want some of our dust, it'll cost you but we're willing to trade."

"What do you want?" Emlyn asked and everyone looked at each other confused.

"You have a unicorn we want crystal wings like the other fairies." They said and Emlyn looked confused.

"Why don't you have them like the others?" She asked and they looked at her like she was stupid but answered anyway.

"Because black fairies don't get them because some people," they eyed Bob with annoyance, "give us a bad rep."

Emlyn looked at Mystic who shrugged, "sure what do I got to loose?" She lit her horn and blasted the fairies with a bright light. Their wings began to glitter and sparkle like crystals.

"Give it to her." Said what Emlyn had began to gather was the leader of the pack and one of the fairies flew over to her. Emlyn held open 2 small leather sacks and the fairy filled it with black fairy dust.

"If you want to find pink fairies go east, if you want to find white fairies go north. You are currently on the south side of meadowbrooke but I do warn you don't go to the west side it's dangerous." The fairy told her before returning to her friends and they flew off.

"What's in the west side?" Emlyn asked and Stella shrugged nervously.

"Y-You don't want to know." She led the way heading east towards the pink fairies. Meadowbrooke was one of the largest areas in the entire realm and it was filled with different fairies.

Black fairies were known to be a bit vicious, keeping to themselves, and avoiding people. However they would never stray from a good bargain. Pink fairies were known to be kind and were always helpful. White fairies could be somewhat of both depending on how you treated them. But in the west part of meadowbrooke it was dark and dreary.

Something else resided here and it wasn't a sweet fairy. They arrived shortly to the pink fairy kingdom and were greeted immediately with flower wreaths and warm hugs.

"It's so nice to meet you I'm Evangeline." A small pink fairy greeted them and fluttered around. "What brings you here?"

"I'm Emlyn and I'm trying to complete a very important spell to stop Camilla, you may have heard of her. I need two small sacks of pink fairy dust." She told them and Evangeline smiled.

"Of course," she turned to a few of her friends and waved them over, "she needs some dust girls." The others nodded and all 4 of them pitched in filling the two small sacks with dust.

"Thank you I'm grateful for your help." Emlyn said surprised that she didn't have to work out some sort of deal.

"No problem but I'd love to join you on this journey if you don't mind." The fairy sat on her shoulder and Emlyn smiled.

"I don't see a problem with that." She turned to start walking towards the north side but another fairy returned.

"Well if she gets to go I want to go to." The black fairy who seemed to be a leader sat on her other shoulder.

"I guess that's fine." Emlyn responded and they started walking even though Evangeline looked some what annoyed.

"I'm Jesselyn." The black fairy told her and Emlyn didn't respond wondering if it was a good idea to have two fairies come with her.

The group however headed north and soon reached the white fairy kingdom. The fairies eyed them suspiciously but acted friendly, "Hello," she eyed the other two fairies suspiciously. "What can I do for you."

"I'm Emlyn and I'm trying to complete a spell to stop Camilla, I need two small sacks of white fairy dust." She said repeating herself from earlier.

"Sure I suppose but I want to make sure white dust is well cared for I'm coming with you." Emlyn just smiled and held open the sacks and a few of the white fairies filled them. "I'm Flurry by the way." She told her and sat on her shoulder next to Evangeline.

"Great we'll im happy to have you 3, now which way to Summer Meadow I know that's our next stop." She said looking at Stella.

"Well it's complicated, we could cross through the west and be there in an hour, otherwise we got to go all the way around it and take possible an entire day." Stella stated and Emlyn wasn't sure exactly what to do.

"We can lead you through the west you just have to be careful." The three fairies said to Emlyn and she nodded.

"Alright let's go then." They followed the map towards the west and Emlyn looked around as they entered the territory.

"What's going on in this area?" She asked and Flurry spoke.

"Well we used to have a leader who united us but she passed and her daughter took her place. Her heart became dark with greed and power and so we cast her away to the west of our kingdom. We work together now just fine or try to, but she will forever be here with her followers who wanted to stay on the path of evil with her." Flurry told her and just then a cloud of black smoke appeared in front of them stopping them.

"Well what a lovely story, you could use my name though it's Cassandra." She said and glared at them, "you banish me here and expect me to allow you to waltz through my kingdom!"

"Uh sorry for the trouble my group and I are just trying to get to summer Meadow we are trying to stop Camilla." The evil fairy glared but looked pleased for a moment.

"I see, you may pass only because I hate Camilla more for trying to steal my kingdom, but move quickly before I change my mind."

While everyone was surprised they got away with that, they quickly rushed out of the west side of meadowbrooke as fast as they could. After about another 45 minutes they reached Summer Meadow.

Unfortunly for them it was already mid-attack, and Camilla was waiting for them with the severed head of Harriet.
