Chapter 19: The Alexandrite

The group reached the castle and Emlyn couldn't believe her eyes. It was beautiful but also a little bit over the top. The Castle was covered in red drapes and the castle itself was white. The gates where gold and the fountains where gold.

She had a red carpet lining the walk way. "This place is amazing." Emlyn said and the others nodded as they reached the door to the castle.

Guards suddenly pointed arrows at them, "who goes there! State your name and business."

"I'm Emlyn and I'm here to see Alexandra the Great." She stated and the guard turned and walked into the castle for a moment before returning.

"Follow me." They followed him in and saw a beautiful girl sitting upon a gold throne with red cushions. She had long brown hair that reached to the floor and dazzling emerald green eyes.

"Hello what can I help you with?" She asked as she stared at herself in a mirror she had hanging near her.

"I'm here because I need the Alexandrite for a spell to get rid of Camilla." Alexandra's attention snapped to Emlyn and she stood up.

"You think your worthy to hold that gem? You know how hard it was for me to get it?" She asked her and laughed. "Well if you want it you'll just have to get it." She pointed behind her to a glass case where a gold heart shaped gem floated inside. "But you have to do it without help."

Emlyn looked at the gem and thought to herself. Before carefully holding out her hand towards it and began to write in her head.

"The Alexandrite came out of the case and found it's way into Emlyn's hand, as if it was meant to be there."

The gem came out of the case and landed in Emlyn's hand and Alexandra stood shocked. "How did you do that?"

"With the power of imagination I can do anything, well almost anything." She told her and Alexandra nodded.

"Well if there's one thing I ask is please return it when your done." Alexandra asked her and Emlyn nodded.

"It will be returned to you." Emlyn responded and the group headed out thinking that was easier then they expected.

They began there long trek back only for Emlyn to receive an exploding hummingbird. "Camilla needs to stop exploding birds." She said quietly as she read the note.

"Look at you headed straight for the castle again. Well good luck, Queen Emlyn."
