Alex Hutch- The narrator of this story, we see the world through his eyes.  Alex is a college student majoring in something to do with music.  That's all he's decided.  He plays the guitar in his spare time.  Alex has dark brown hair that he keeps messy and shoves under a black beanie.  When he doesn't cut his bangs, they cover his eyes, which are the same green as pine needles. He was the self-proclaimed "cool guy" in school, and was frequently seen on his skateboard in and around his neighborhood.

Lily Ward- Alex's girlfriend of two years, she has no idea what she wants to do after college.  She's been described as a book worm by everyone she's ever met.  She's a genuine sweetheart suffering from depression, but who only wants to help her friends succeed.  Lily has freckles underneath dark green eyes and wears glasses with square, black frames.  Short, blonde hair sits on top of her head, fluffy and sticking up in all directions, earning her the nickname Dandelion.  

These are the only two characters that really matter.  The whole story circles around them, and there aren't any other constant characters.
