Paranormal as Non-Fiction

Writing paranormal hasn't been easy for me, and it's not the process of doing research or plotting, not even brainstorming that makes it a tough subject to develop, because I can skip the pre-writing stage and the story will flow naturally... and when I say naturally, I mean it... naturally. Not even imagination is required to write paranormal when it's non-fictional writing. Well, sort of. Let's call it unconventional non-fiction if you prefer. Yes... to me, narrating an event or perception without scientific explanation, such as extrasensory perception, or other purportedly supernatural phenomena is not something I've invented, it's something that I've experienced. It's part of my daily life. I SEE DEAD PEOPLE, literally speaking.
I've been having these sightings or extra-sensorial or supernatural experiences since I was a girl and it's not something I can boast or be proud about it. In fact I hate it. My best friend, she's a pastor, and she defines my 'ability' as a gift from the Holy Spirit –for those who are Christians- known as to distinguish between spirits or 'gift of science or discerning'. Whatever it is, I often joke saying that I wish God could change this 'power' because seeing ghosts or spirits is never fun, believe me.
Others say I'm a medium. No! That I don't want to be! I've never talked to one in the best hopes of receiving an answer or message. I don't want to talk to them. No way. So don't send me a signal because I'm not asking.
From angry ladies chasing me on the road, to old guys waiting at the bus stop, to a suicidal Private's ghost who'd woken me up to the night shift, I've seen them all, from different times and genres... I've seen demons and heard angels singing, each and every an unwanted and uninvited occurrence. They're just there, hanging around in the realm of the living ones, scaring the hell out of me every time they decide it's a good time to show up, no matter if I'm sleeping, doing the dishes or at church. They don't get I don't want to see them.
In conclusion, Paranormal to me is re-telling daily-life happenings –fortunately note an hyperbole implied because it doesn't happen every day, thank God- and I only do some research to have a reference of what I've seen. Most of the time I wished I'd never looked up.
