(Aphmau)

It's been two days since I've arrived in FalconClaw, and so far I've been having tons of fun. Meeting fans, and going to Q and A's.

I plopped onto my bed and let out a sigh.

"I'm exhausted" I yawned, hugging a pillow.

"Um....Aph, you're gonna want to see this" Kiki called a little hesitantly. I walked down the stairs and into the living room.

She pointed to the TV screen where pictures of Garroth and a girl flashed in the screen.

"Garroth Ro'Meave of The Phoenix Guard, has finally settled down!"

My heart stopped

"Zoey Yggdressal is the lucky girl Garroth has decided he wants to live his life with"

My heart began to crack

"The happy couple managed to keep their relationship off of the media, and now we get to see w-"

I turned off the TV. I nodded at Kiki and went back into my room. I sat cross legged on the bed and held a pillow close to my chest. I steadied my breathing and grabbed my phone.

I hesitantly clicked Garroths contact, and lifted a shaky hand to my ear.

"Hello?"

"Hey, so when I said don't do anything stupid while I'm gone, you heard "go and get engaged"?" I tried to sound sarcastic and jokey

"Oh...right..." he chuckled

"So who is this Zoey girl?" I asked curiously

"I never mentioned her?" His voice cracked

"Nope, can't say you have"

"Oh well....my mistake...so when are you getting back home?" He asked

"Don't know, I uh...gotta go. Seeya whenever"

"Bye"

I hung up, and all the tears I had been holding back, fell freely.

(Garroth)

"I'm sorry..." I whispered

Zoey walked in and handed me a cup of tea

"To help soothe you" she smiled softly, "I'm sorry..."

"For what?" I smiled sadly

"I know you don't love me, your heart belongs to another"

"Is it that obvious?" I chuckled dryly

"Very" she laughed and sipped her own tea, sitting cross legged on the bed beside me, "tell me about her"

"Well...her names Aphmau. She has long Raven black hair, and big hazel eyes that...glimmer and shine with life. A cute little nose and....the most stunning smile. She's smart, sarcastic, witty, hilarious. When I was drunk once I...called her up, and asked her to come over. I told her I loved her, and then I kissed her. I don't remember any of it....but she assures me, it happened, and then she took care of my drunkard butt. She loves bread sticks, and will do almost anything for them. She's the best"

Zoey held a hand to her heart and smiled.

"That was...beautiful..."

"Thanks..."

"So why on earth are you marrying me, when you could have her?"

"She doesn't feel the same-"

"Nonsense!"

"Zoey, trust me, she doesn't"

"Any woman insane enough to take care of you when you're drunk, must have some sort of feelings"

"Even if she did...she won't be talking to me anytime soon, she's obviously very....very mad"

"I'll help you win her" Zoey winked. I smiled and tucked a piece of hair behind her ear.

"Don't waste your time, I'm sure I can be plenty happy with you"

"But you don't love me"

"I know..."

(Aphmau)

I clicked Laurence's contact and waited for him to pick up.

"Hello?"

"I lost, Laurence..." I whispered

"What do you mean you lost?"

"The game"

"Aph, please explain to me what's going on"

"The game, Laurence! Love! I tried to play this stupid game safe! And you know what happened? I became scared! I got scared to make a move, so I waited and passed each turn, thinking I could win in the end! But you know what? I hate this game, because the person who plays cautiously, looses, and the person who passes their turns, gets their heartbroken. The game of love is cruel! I lost, Laurence..."

"Aphmau..."

"I love him..."

"Oh my Irene! You have to tell him!"

"I can't! And you won't either!"

"But-"

"Laurence! You can't!"

"Aph...you have to tell him! He won't go through with the marriage if-"

"Don't you think I know that?!"

He fell silent.

"Look....maybe some day...I'll tell him, but for now, he's going to marry Zoey, and everything will be alright"

"Aphmau..."

"Laurence..."

"Fine" he sighed, "I gotta go, get some rest"

"Alright"

"And Aphmau"

"Yeah?"

"Don't wait to tell him, you'll regret it like he did"

"What do you mean like he did?"

"He's always regretted not telling you how he felt"

"Well then, why did he never tell?"

"He was afraid"

"He should've fought for me"

"How can you be so selfish?!"

"W-"

"He did fight for you! He serenaded you all night! He listened to everything you said! You pushed him away, but he wouldn't leave!"

"I'm sorry...I...should go..."

I hung up and bit back the tears that threatened to spill again. I walked downstairs and saw Kiki knitting.

"Oh, hey Aph! You...leaving?"

"I was thinking I could stay one more night?"

"Aph, you know I love you, but Brendon was planning on moving in tomorrow and-"

"It's fine, I'll stay at a hotel tonight"

"Aph-"

"It's completely fine"

I went upstairs and got my bags. When I came back down Kiki engulfed me in a hug.

"I'm so so so so so-"

"Ki, don't worry about it" I laughed

"You can come for meals"

"I might take you up on that offer, seeya"

I walked out the door, and called a taxi. After waiting a little while, a yellow cab was in front of me.

"Nearest motel please"

He nodded and drove me.

"So why are you going to a motel"

"I don't think that's your business"

"We'll be together for at least half an hour if there's no traffic, we might as well become friends. The names Kenmur"

"Aphmau"

"Nice to meet you, so, care to tell me what you're gonna be doing at a motel?"

"Um...friend can't afford me living with her anymore, and I can't afford going back home"

"Because?"

"Listen...I'm not sure I should tell a complete stranger..."

"What's the harm? Just don't give too personal information, and besides it's not like we'll be seeing each other again. And also, who am I gonna tell?"

"Okay....well it all started at a supermarket...."

A/N ALRIGHTY, I wanted to use Dale fr the cab driver but I already used him earlier. Anyways I'm finally good and back on the schedule...hopefully...SO! I hope you enjoyed! Imma try and write the next chapter now. I love you all devils, byeee.
