Landon could hardly breath. Everything was blurry. His ears were ringing. A tall boy said something inaudible, and offered his hand. Landon took it. The world became a bit more focused and he heard Tazzel say:

"What's happened to Amber?"

"I don't want to talk about it," He replied.

Seeing Landon's expression, he added " Sorry." Landon went off Tazzel followed him.

"Hey, I was wondering if I could join you. Like, allies?" He said. Landon picked a flower.

"Sure," He said. He picked two more flowers and turned around. Tazzel followed him. He set the flowers down were Amber died.

As the new allies looked down at the scene, staying there could not stop tears from flowing, but they could save their lives from the carrers.

Serenity was in shock. The snakes had paralyzed her leg and she was starving and thirsty. She used the first aid kit and sword to get her leg of before the venom spread to her stomach. A little must have gotten into her system, because she was having dillusions.

"Mom?" Her mother was there holding a book. It faded into Her brother saying:

"Don't apologize, Serenity. It is your weakness." Now he was a group of kids taunting her.

"Hey miss A, meet miss spelling bee. You two will get along," They snickered and pointed to her only friend. That is, besides her family. To her suprise, she looked down and all was purple, her body was ten times bigger than it was before. It was all to much. She was crying on her knees. She felt dizzy.

Her cannon was heard throughout the arena.

Norah and Wyatt hid in really good spots. The carrers had come.

"Come out come out!" Shailee said.

"You can't hide forever!" Kimi said. When she was in the perfect spot, Norah pulled the rope he found in the backpack on the floor. Kimi was in a net attached to a tree. "Help! Louis, Shailee!" She was crying.

"Face it Kimi, you weren't gonna win anyways," Shailee said. "Come on Louis." Louis went and said:

"Wait, I dropped a knife!" He turned around. He saw the two allies. "Run. Shailee is gonna come back. If she was right, Kimi would die anyways." He said.

"Hey." She said. Louis threw the knife at the rope holding the net and ran. Norah aimed at weapon at Kimi, but as Jason came and he heard a cannon learned she had already died.

Rose and Jaden slept. They slept till someone came in.

Jaden yelped. Rose sat upright. Keller had stepped on a crumpled palm leaf. "I can just go," He said turning around.

"Wait!" Rose noticed the wire. Maybe he could help. "Do you want to join us? We made stuff that could work with your wire."

"I dunno, I'm not much of a people-person." He said. He thought about how he was in need of more supplies. "Fine." Rose liked this news. So did Jaden.

"Here are the things we found and made that might be useful." Jaden said pointing to a large pile.

Keller built and built and built. He didn't stop when Jaden and Rose slept. But he did stop to wonder. If they could be happy why was he not one for friends?
