"Wait, so David's coming," Revere whispered. "With a little boy who can't speak?"
I nodded. "Just go sit down, fool. You'll all get details when David arrives."
"Adore, respect your older brother, don't call him a fool." Mom scolded as Revere nodded tauntingly.
I groaned. "My bad,"
Gabriella was also here. She was eerily quiet. Revere revealed that she's pregnant and sometimes being around food made her so nauseous that she accidentally threw up when she opened her mouth. This happened five times at home, at her job, and in a grocery store. Now she stays quiet when she's around a lot of food.
I went through Google and cooked a lot of brunch food for everyone, so that was my fault.
Issa, of course, stayed to herself with her father after greeting her grandparents. I was feeling unbalanced. I wanted Dimitri here, but he's in Germany. Endellion could've also been here, but she's at court with her sister.
There was a knock on the door at precisely ten o'clock. David.
I sighed. "Is everyone ready? Please don't start fights. David is just trying his best as a father."
Dad scoffed, and Mom frowned.
"Well, the son of the bitch is waiting at the door. Hurry up."
Gabriella shoved him, giving him a warning glare.
"Ok, I'm opening the door." I opened the door.
David smiled nervously, clutching his little boy's hand. "Hello, Dora."
"Follow me," I sighed.
I led David and Cedar into my living room, where everyone was. I gestured for him to sit in my accent chair, seeing as no one probably wanted to sit next to him.
Mom gasped, her eyes turned glassy as she looked at the little boy. "This is the child?"
David nodded slowly, looking at the floor.
"Come here, child," my mom whispered.
Cedar looked at David, and David nodded. He walked over to Mom, and she hugged him. "Tobi, look at this child."
"What is your name?" My Dad asked.
David handed him a book, and he wrote his name.
"He can't speak at all?" Revere asked.
David shook his head. "Not after Cherish died." He whispered.
"Poor child," Gabriella said.
I cleared my throat. "We need to talk about visitations and forgiveness."
"Adore–" My Dad started.
"No, Dad, you are here because Cherish would want this. She would also want us to forgive him."
"I have already forgiven him," Revere said. "I know it wasn't–well, it was–but he didn't kill her. She knew the reason why she stayed with him. Cherish wasn't dumb."
I nodded. "I have also forgiven him. Not because I don't think it wasn't his fault, but because I see the way he's trying for his son. He could've put Cedar in foster care or abandoned him."
Issa waved at Cedar when he glanced her way. He smiles a tiny bit and waves back.
Mom thought for a while. "David, how are you providing for this child?"
"I–I have an office job–well, I'm a janitor, mostly."
Dad frowned. "You could've been something better. Instead, you impregnated my daughter and then killed her after!"
"Father-in-law, look at this man," Gabriella spoke up. "Does he look like a man who wanted the love of his life dead?" Gabriella sighed, looking at David. "You look pitiful, David. You're shrinking in the chair. You look tired, beaten down, guilty. The man looks horrible, and he's going to sit here and take everything I just said because it's true. You thought you were pathetic then; look at you now."
Issa frowned at her mother's harsh words but said nothing.
"He's suffering as much as we are all from Cherish's death."
Dad sighed, rubbing his face. "I can not do this."
I frowned. "Dad–"
"No."
"Tobi!" Mom called after him, but he was already out the door. She sighed. "I can never love you the way I used to, David. You were such a good child. I bet you are now. But you ruined it for yourself, your child, and my daughter. I will have my daughter text you my address and the address to my restaurant. Bring my grandchild to see me."
David nodded. "O–of course, ms. Gifty." And with that, Mom followed after Dad, Cedar came back to David, resting on his legs.
"I'll schedule playdates with Issa and Cedar."
"Yea, and please move out of the ghetto," Revere said.
"It's not that easy. It's much cheaper here."
Revere rolled his eyes as Gabriella nudged him. "Fine," he groaned. "Listen, you're good with numbers, right?"
David nodded. "Yes."
Revere nodded. "I'll get you a job as an accountant where I work–don't bring none of your ghetto ass friends up there. You understand?"
David's eyes lit up. "Yes, thank you."
"Whatever." Revere rolled his eyes. "You ready?"
Gabriella and Issa nodded. "See you later, David," she said. "Bye, little man," she put her hand up for Cedar, and he smacked his hand against hers.
"Bye, Gabriella. Thank you again." David said as they left.
I sighed. "That went right percent well."
David nodded, his lips quivering and tears threatening to fall. "Thank you so much," he said lowly. "CPS was probably about to take him away from me. Despite my skipping meals for him, it wasn't enough. I couldn't afford to put him in speech therapy. He's the only family I have. The only thing I have left of Cherish."
I sighed. "David, it's ok. You made a mistake–huge–but it's forgiven."
"You think Mr.Tobi will ever forgive me?" He sniffed as his own son began wiping his tears for him.
David crying is familiar to Cedar. How much has he grieved?
I gave him my 'yikes.' face. "No, I don't think so–just give him some time."
"Ok," he said solemnly.
"Go home," I said. "Go rest. I'll send you details of Revere's offer and the address to Mom and dads house along with Mom's restaurant.
David nodded. "Thank you," he lifted Cedar in his arms, nodded once more, and left.
I sighed. Another problem...solved.

"How was it?"
I sighed, looking at Dimitri through the screen. "My dad walked out, but everything went well. My mom said she wanted to see Cedar more and gave him the address to her house and restaurant."
"Oh, that's good."
"Yea, he also got a job offer from my brother."
"So he's forgiven?"
I sighed. "My brother and I have. My mom told him she couldn't look at him the same way, and my dad definitely hasn't."
"Well, I'm glad nothing went wrong."
I nodded. He could see me cause it was Facetime. I was getting ready to meet with Endellion. "Yup, but other than that, I missed you."
"I miss you more,"
I giggled, finding his tone very sexy.
"Where are you going?" He asked.
I sighed. "I have a Tinder date," I joked.
"He'll be dead by sunrise." His tone was deadly, possessive.
"I was joking, Dimitri. Please do not kill anyone. I'm going to meet Endellion."
"See. Was it so hard to tell me the truth?"
I rolled my eyes, getting up to get my shoes. "Fuck you,"
"Damn, you're so beautiful. Look at that ass–"
"Dimitri!" I turned around. "Do you not feel any shame when you say these things?"
"No. Your ass is delectable. I wanna leave my marks on it,"
"Oh my God," I facepalmed.
"Turn around. Let me see it."
"Dimitri." I glared.
"Please," he begged. "I'm deprived of your body."
I rolled my eyes and turned around. I bent over a bit, my dress rising up, and shook my ass a little.
He groaned. "You're so... I think I have a crush."
I giggled. "Hurry back and fuck me."
"You're much bolder when we're speaking on the phone."
I nodded. "Yeah, 'cause you can't touch my ass, can you? Yeah, you decided to leave me, and now you can't touch me."
"Fuck you."
I laughed tauntingly. "You wish," I blew him a kiss.
He opened his mouth to say something snarky, but someone entered his room, speaking German. Dimitri's jaw clenched, and he looked back at me. "I have to go, Princess, business things. I love you."
I nodded, humming. "Ok, bye."
He hung up, and I felt myself missing him again. Ugh, I'm becoming desperate.

Endellion gave me the key to her house when I was feeling miserable, just in case. She said if I felt like killing myself, come to her house instead and talk to her. So, now I have her key.
I opened her door and made myself semi-at-home. "Dell?" I called out.
Maybe she was asleep?
But she knew I was coming here. We were literally on the phone a few minutes ago.
I was going to go into her room, but then I heard why she wasn't answering me.
"Oh! Fuck, Kaz! Oh my God."
I heard the smacking and grunting and moans. Dell seemed to be having such a great time. I thought Dimitri fucking me...nope.
I'm not doing this here.
I patiently waited for them to finish because why would I hold someone back from getting their thing because I'm not–which is my fault. I regret the decision to follow after my parents in marriage before sex.
Well, I was trying to do that, and I'm not going to continue. As soon as Dimitri comes back, I want him to ruin me forever. I want my bed to break.
"Stop," Endellion giggled, walking out with Kazan wrapped around her waist and kissing her neck. "Oh shit." She pulled away from Kazan as if he had burned her when she saw me.
I smiled. "Had a good time?"
"Yup." Kazan winked as Endellion smacked his chest.
I laughed. "It's ok. I waited here after I accidentally heard you scream out his name."
"I'mma need my key back, bitch."
I laughed. "Chill out, damn."
I can't wait for the next chapter 🤭
I hope you guys enjoyed.
see you next Sunday!
