PERSONALITY
Cass is very generous and loving, providing for those she cares about and finding joy in taking care of others. He tends to be soft-spoken, only really getting loud when his twin is around, and usually thinks before he speaks. Cass can also be incredibly impulsive, though. They do things because they want to, not because they have thought it through—and he has a sassy streak a mile wide, too. She just likes to play around, though.

BACKGROUND

Caspian, born with one of the most boring first names in all of Korea that he refuses to go by, is the oldest of four—yes, counting their slightly younger twin. They were never the kind of kid it was easy to look up to, though, even with her generally quiet nature and generosity. He was too sarcastic, too impulsive and honestly sort of demanding sometimes. She's grown out of some of that with time, now putting others before himself, but as a child, was constantly told to provide a better example to their younger siblings.
Caspian was a rather sickly child as well, having chronic ear infections and seeming to pick up every illness possible. She was in and out of the hospital a lot as a kid, and while they're much better now, are somewhat immunocompromised as a result of her frequent childhood illnesses. But his parents raised him as best they could, and Cass was happy when not sick. Mostly.
Cass never fit into traditional gender roles, no matter how hard they tried. And she did try. Nothing worked, it always felt like he was wearing clothes that didn't fit and had a shitty texture. So when she was sixteen, Cass picked out a pretty new name for themself and started to tell their friends and siblings what he wanted to be called now. Sadly, not every friend had Caspian's back, and one in particular told their parents. They weren't accepting, to say the least. Cass was forced back into the closet, essentially, until they finished high school and moved to Seoul.
She got a job as a barista, and at nineteen became a trainee at Cube, pursuing a long-held dream to become an idol. While Cass learned a lot, he felt pretty uncomfortable there. She was pretty openly queer, or as much as they could be, and never felt accepted. And sure, South Korea can be pretty conservative, but Cass never wanted to have to feel shoved into being someone he's not. So she left Cube, instead joining the very queer-friendly JEM Entertainment. They even convinced their twin sibling Skye to join him, and are anticipating their debut as a member of ONIX.

cass liked kade (who he often calls baby or kay) pretty much from the moment they met. she tried flirting, and befriended him pretty quickly, but when her feelings for kade were accidentally spilled in the company groupchat—and kade didn't give any indication of returning them—cass assumed they were being rejected. it took a lot of convincing for kade to get across that he wasn't yet sure of his feelings and to give him a chance—a chance that has since turned into a relationship with the most wonderful, loving man cass has ever met.
