Chapter Four

"Why do you want to help me control this?" Kayla asked.

"Tsk, why, you're actually like my guinea pig. I need you to learn to control that thing inside you for my.... plan," Eclair explained.

   "Your plan....?" Kayla asked slowly.

Eclair sighed as she spoke again," You sure ask a lot of questions, don't you? Well, what I'm about to do is the right choice. I need you to control that monster so you can teach the other experiments for war."

Something clicked in Kayla's mind. She was being used. They all were being used. Why did she think that this woman was trying to help her? But, that didn't effect her the most. This, monster of a woman, was going to torture more poor people to make an army of werewolves.

And, war? This monster was going to make an army of werewolves just to go to war? Why?

Wait, Kayla thought suddenly, she said that this was the right choice. Was this person raised that right was wrong, and wrong is right?

However, there was a catch. Kala suddenly smirked from this. If they were going to war, where was this war starting?

Kayla's smirk didn't go unnoticed by Eclair. She cocked an eyebrow in confusion, but in satisfaction of thinking Kayla was agreeing with these terms.

"Where is this war starting?" Kayla asked.

   "Russia."

"How would we get there? I mean, we are in Australia. How are we getting across the ocean without ships? We certainly would need money to get those ships."

"Money won't be a problem, along with the ships." Kayla's smirk faltered to a frown. Her blood ran cold as her heart started beating faster than normal.

"So, what do you say girl?" Eclair asked with an evil smirk.

   "...No." Kayla said fiercely.

"...what?!" Eclair shouted, " What do you mean "no"?!"

Eclair reached out for Kayla's hair to pull back harshly. Kayla's face slammed against the bars. Kayla growled out in anger and pain.

"You will regret that, you monster." And with that, Eclair lay go of Kayla's hair and stalked away.

Kayla rubbed her stinging face as she glared at the fading figure. Other people stared at Kayla from their own cases. She directed her glare to the other people. They all instantly cowered away from her glare, scared that she would turn again. Did they hear their conversation? If they did, what they all do about it? Kayla looked to the cell that was suppose to hold Ethan, finding it still empty.

She sighed as she processed everything that happened. Russia would be attacked, we would go to war. If they succeeded in making more werewolves, and training them. How to fight, how to control this transformation thing, Russia wouldn't stand a chance. Especially if it was a surprise attack.

"What do I do?" Kayla thought desperately. She thought and thought. What could she do? If she tried escaping, she would probably be beaten.

Kayla looked at the other prisoners. She needed to get of here. They all did. They needed to warn someone. But who? The police maybe. However, there's no way out. And would the police even believe this?

"No! You don't understand! They're after me! Help me! Please!" A voice screamed. It was Ethan's. Kayla looked up to see he was being pushed by two guards. He had a scared look on his face as if he'd seen a ghost. Ethan tried to resist the pushing from the gaurds.

"No! Please! Stop! They'll kill me if I stay! Please, you have to let me go! Stop!" Ethan cried out. However, the guards just ignored him and continued pushing him.

Kayla looked at him confused. Ethan never acted like this while returning from being experimented on. He struggled against the guards until he was thrown into his cell. Ethan got up and ran to the bars, tears streaming down his face as he looked terrified.

Ethan continued crying out until he could no longer speak. That's when Kayla spoke up, "Ethan, are you...okay?"

Ethan looked at her, scared to death. He tried to answer, but he couldn't. He struggled to breath as he clutched at his heart. Kayla had never seen him like this before.

She crawled over to Ethan. Her brown eyes looked deeply into his hazel ones as she reached out to gently place her hand on his knee, between the bars separating them, for he was sitting down.

"Ethan, please calm down. Who's after you?" Kayla asked gently and quietly. Ethan still could not answer as he flinched away from her hand, looking at it as if it were death itself. He crawled backwards until he reached the other side of the cell.

Ethan tried calming down. But he couldn't. For what he saw, it scared him so much, that he was petrified by nearly everything. He couldn't seem to take it anymore, for Ethan soon passed out.
