After the party, Canalo offered to walk Asuna home. She gladly accepted. The two walked side by side together in silence. 

"Neh, Asuna..." Canalo stated, breaking the silence. 

"Eh?" Asuna asked looking up as him. 

He stopped walking and turned towards her. Asuna stopped as well, looking puzzled. Once again, Canalo grabbed both of her hands.Asuna was taken back. 

Her eye widened and looked at him. 

"Asuna, I want you to become my wife. Will you agree so?" he blurted out. Asuna shook of his hand. She turned her back from him. 

"Ano-ne. Canalo, I'm not agreeing to be your wife." Asuna stated. Canalo jaw dropped, he was disappointed. Because to him, Asuna was the perfect candidate. 

"Why though?" Canalo asked. 

"Look here Canalo. What is your reason of choosing me?" Asuna turned back to him and asked. 

"Because you are kind, brave and amazing! You are the perfect wife I could ask for." Canalo answered. 

Asuna shooked her head. 

"Did I say something wrong?" he asked worriedly. 

"When you ask someone to be your wife, is not an act of duty that you must complete for your people. It is also not because you think she's perfect..." Asuna explained, looking at him in the eyes. 

"Then what--?" Canalo asked. 

"I hope you'll figure out one day. And until that day, I'm sorry." Asuna stated before running away from Canalo. 

"Eh? Asuna!" Canalo called her but she was far away. He let out his frustration. Canalo looked at the road where she disappeared, wondering to himself, What did she mean by that? What do I have to figure out? 

"Arghhh." he grunted before walking back the opposite direction to head back to his house.

While back at Asuna...

Once she saw she was faraway from Canalo, she sat at a nearby bench. Breathing in and out, trying to calm herself. 

Canalo, baka. Is the only she stated in her head. But thinking back the way he proposed to her out of the blue, she chuckled. 

"I guess he never changed his way of proposal." she laughed, recalling the memories. She looked at her hand again, before shaking her head. 

"No, Asuna. You did the right thing." she reminded herself. She was indeed surprised that Canalo just decided to propose her out of the blue, but she knew that he only did that because of his duty. And not mention, because she was one of his ideal bribe type. 

"You need to know why I reject you right now Canalo. I'm willing to wait until that day you realized why." She murmured looking back the road where she ran away. 

She then stood up and skipped back to her house. 

It been a long day. they both stated in their mind.
