Chapter One: Major Ughs
This is the story of how I died. Internally. I mean really there's no point in even going any further. This is only the most stupid story you will ever read. Look, we'll even start it like every other cliche novel!!!
Sixteen year old junior in high school Bridgett woke up on this miserable Monday morning and stretched in her pink pajamas underneath her pink blankets inside her very pink room. After stretching and yawning, Bridgett headed to the bathroom where she took a shower, brushed her teeth, did her hair, makeup, etc. when she was done with that she came back into her room where she threw on a little pink dress that barely covered her bottom.
"Bridgett?" Bridgett's mom asked her when she finally saw her daughter. "What exactly are you wearing...?"
"Mo-OM," Bridgett whined. This is what all the girls at school are wearing it's fine."
"Ok honey I just..."
"MOM!" Bridgett interrupted. "Its fine." And with that she stormed out the door without even eating breakfast.
Ok I know what you're all thinking, how could she treat her mother this way? Well... I wasn't always so nice. Yup, I'm Bridgett. But anyways lets fast forward on to a more interesting part. Aka the stuff that actually matters.
"Bridgett," Ms Smith called out at the end of the final class of the year. Bridgett walked across the room and up to her Math teacher's desk. "I've noticed that you seem to be quite shy and not have many friends here—" This was true, Bridgett did not really do "friends." "So I was wondering if you would like to join the summer cheerleading squad. The head gym coach, Mr Sleaze, reached out to us teachers say that he's looking for more petite, pretty girls that have potential to be on his summer cheerleading squad and I just thought that maybe you'd be interested considering you don't have friends so it's not like you would be doing anything this summer anyways..." she trailed off at the end of her monologue.
"I'm sorry?" Bridgett asked. She was feeling kind of uncomfortable considering it kind of seemed like an insult.
"Nothing to worry about Bridgett. I'm sorry." Bridgett turned away from the teacher's desk shaking her head in disgust. Why did everyone always need to get involved in her life? She was perfectly happy so why did people always feel the need to intervene where they weren't needed and especially where they weren't wanted.
Suddenly, Bridgett was being tapped on the shoulder. She turned around and saw Ms Smith with a piece of paper in her hands. "Just in case," she said with a wink. Bridgett folded up the piece of paper, stuffing it deep into her front pockets as far as it could go. Then, she pulled out her phone, put her AirPods in, and began the walk home. Ms Smith watching her from the window of her now empty math classroom. Bridgett, having no idea what was about to happen.
